Shikaku's final plan before the Juubi blasted HQ was planned out by himself as was most of them when certain fighters were in the heat of battle, and i don't think at counts as it more of ambition than battle plan

Preps do require knowledge. However, gathering knowledge on the enemy can happen in the midst of the battle as proven by Sasuke's fight with Deidara. In short, I never claimed Sasuke is better at devising strategies, I claim he's better at quickly analyzing and finding counters.

Stop the madness. Shikamaru has the same ability to manage 1v1 situations as he does with large group battles. Just note the fact the he has never lost a 1v1 battle with far less resources than Sasuke or Naruto is feat worthy. He defeated or stalemated all of his opponents with simple ninja tools and one mediocre ninjustu.

kirin...Naruto tanks this as his KM tanked Juubi storm, Madara's Susanoo Tomoe shuriken and BM deflected 5 tbb with speed alone.
hashirama's secret jutsu...That was a jutsu that could be used only on Madara who took his Senjutsu as he told Sasuke.
perfect susanoo....Madara said PS was compared to a Bijuu is destructive power while BM matched 5 Bijuu combined power (tbb).
blue/black chidori...That's from Senjutsu which Naruto has so Senjutsu Rasengan match it and Senjutsu wind Rasengan beats it.
Amaterasu...BM roar blast it away as it did 5 Bijuus. He can also sense it and evade it with his superior speed.
Genjutsu...Bijuus inside him break him out or he shows that he improved his skills and break it on his own.
sword of kusanagi: chidori katana...Sasuke lost his sword in the lava and Naruto can infuse his kunai with wind which beats lightning.
Hawk/Snake summoning...Toad summon, clones use chakra arms to punch them, he throws them miles away, FRS.
Lion combo...Sasuke isn't getting him with that with Naruto's sensory skills and superior speed.

Shikamaru is using thousands of shinobis power perfectly to fight the Juubi and kept them motivated to fight which Temari then praised him as Hokage worthy. I countered all the jutsus in your post and I can keep going on as well.

I. Just. Can't.

Let's get one thing straight here. Shikamaru had 200 f*cking moves planned during the fight with Temari. Now, I can understand the difficulties because the most I can imagine doing is 20-30 moves ahead, and I consider myself fairly intelligent.

Shikamaru DOES lack experience and powers so in that aspect, he cannot come up with as many strategies. Sasuke is intelligent alright, but DEFINITELY not to the point of Shikamaru's intelligence. Also, Shikamaru is only lazy f*ck, while Sasuke is motivated and that says a world of difference.

Shikamaru is arguably among, if not definitely, the smartest character in Naruto (I think Kakashi is just below Shikimaru and Shikaku) . In several points in Naruto, Sasuke has made miscalculations, admittedly not very often.

At this point, I'm not entirely sure why I'm even trying. Peace out, and get some common sense... please.
