Sasuke has the most undesirable personality of any character in NV.

This man is ignorant, rude, disrespectful and does not give a shit about his team mates. I've almost convinced he wouldn't even care about Naruto at this point if he hadn't received the same powerup. He makes people feel bad wherever he goes and has been getting worse since he joined the war. It makes me mad every time he puts somebody down like he's above them, even if he might be.

But I know some of you Basers out there who enjoy dark, edgy try hards like him out there will just say 'thats what make him badass' when I'm almost positive irl you would never want to be around anybody with a personality like that

Its just a generic personality that is overused in anime. I think the people who think he has a quality personality might not of ever been exposed to all the other versions of sauce out there. He is/was better than someone like say... Mandy, that was a nod to all boss characters from nes/snes days, zero personality.

IRL people like sauce don't get far(mostly they dont exist to narrow of personality), they change or become isolated fast.

We are a few centuries ahead of times where ppl think physical power can solve everything. Nowadays ppl use money and influence, and there r plenty of ppl who sacrifice family and friends for the sake of their business. It's no way to Obtain a happy life, but some ppl r like Sasuke.

Regardless, this is a shonen manga. If Sasuke was perfect then Naruto would be out of a job.

So you understand that Sasuke's character since the VOTE battle has been a character all about sacrifice, and keeping free from bonds. Which is y he is distant from everyone. Just like Naruto believes that in order to get places you need ppl, Sasuke believes that to get places you need Sacrifice. Even if that means sacrificing himself. (Giving his body to Orochimaru)

So you understand that Sasuke has come to terms with the fact that Itachi and his clansmen were sacrifices to protect the village, and that is why he wants to save it. If he can't then all of his clansmen died in vain.

TBH, Sasuke isn't as heartless as he would like you to believe.
If you would notice here Sasuke looked over to Sakura and Kakashi before going to save Naruto.

When Naruto is irate with him, he explains that Kakashi already handled it. Meaning that Sasuke already knew they were fine.

If Sasuke were such a bad person, then Naruto wouldn't be able to change him in the end. Regardless of what he says Sasuke still cares about Team 7 deep down, though at this point Sasuke realizes the gravity of the situation and just like his nature, he is willing to sacrifice anything to complete this task.

You basically expanded on what I said in my post, but in different words. I agree with you on some points that deep down (really, REALLY deep down) he cares about Team 7, but the mission is first priority to him.

1) Sasuke would never sacrifice himself. That's the reason he betrayed Orochimaru, because he overheard his conversation and was only training with him in order to get strong enough to defeat him.

These are not the words, nor the actions of someone who wishes to keep free from bonds. He strived to protect his team mates and gave the same answer as Naruto, to protect his friends. He just goes about doing it in the wrong way. In a way he's still conflicted with his own resolution.

2) I know Sasuke is trying to protect the village, but he's doing it at the cost of other villagers lives. What's the point in fighting if the most important ones to you won't be there in the end? Those same ones that his own brother protected?

3) Like I said earlier, he's still conflicted with his feelings. He was aware that they were safe, but at the same time makes the comment it was just by luck. You think he would really be disturbed if they were caught in IT like Naruto would be?

Sasuke wants to protect his friends, but will sacrifice friends to save some. That's the cheap way of doing things, if Sakura was still in the way of him going at Madara he'd have went right through her. Naruto takes no shortcuts and does his best to protect everybody. Sasuke makes it a goal to save everybody by completing the mission, but will disregard the lives it cost in order to do that except for rare occasions.

And Naruto is an optimist as well as a realist. He found an answer to Pain, learned the requirement to become hokage and is keeping it in his mind. If anything Sasuke is the optimist here, he still thinks he can become hokage when he doesn't know what the word even entails.

Imo Sasuke is what makes this manga tick, he brings oout the best in the show imo. His charracter is not a txtbook that can easily be read, his actions and personality makes the manga have a feel good vibe. Characters like him are essential in any story. I've Always liked him and always will.

selfish/arrogant characters like Madara can be bad ass sometimes but, in Sasuke's case it's different hmm

most of the times he just comes off as a whiny/illogical kid with a lot of anger and illogical decisions (not really helping with the bad ass image).

i understand the extremely difficult childhood he had but, i can never like a character/consider him to be bad ass just because i feel sorry for him.
