So you understand that Sasuke's character since the VOTE battle has been a character all about sacrifice, and keeping free from bonds. Which is y he is distant from everyone. Just like Naruto believes that in order to get places you need ppl, Sasuke believes that to get places you need Sacrifice. Even if that means sacrificing himself. (Giving his body to Orochimaru)It's because I understand him, that I dislike him.
He looks at everything objectively, disregards peoples feelings and opinions in the decision he makes and cares not about how people feel about him. Top notch qualities of a d-bag.
And yes, I know WHY he's like that. Because of the history he's had with Obito, being used and learning about the Leafs past. But who's fault is that he changed his motive like every chapter and was more gullible than anybody? Learning the history of Konoha also does not admit him to act like that.

So you understand that Sasuke has come to terms with the fact that Itachi and his clansmen were sacrifices to protect the village, and that is why he wants to save it. If he can't then all of his clansmen died in vain.
TBH, Sasuke isn't as heartless as he would like you to believe.
If you would notice here Sasuke looked over to Sakura and Kakashi before going to save Naruto.

When Naruto is irate with him, he explains that Kakashi already handled it. Meaning that Sasuke already knew they were fine.

If Sasuke were such a bad person, then Naruto wouldn't be able to change him in the end. Regardless of what he says Sasuke still cares about Team 7 deep down, though at this point Sasuke realizes the gravity of the situation and just like his nature, he is willing to sacrifice anything to complete this task.
Sasuke=Realism
Naruto=Optimism
Enlighten me then.
Lel Naruto is the optimist? But Sasuke wanting to become hokage makes him a realist?

You don't think Naruto's character is optimistic?
Sasuke simply knows where he needs to be in order to make a difference, but he is like Indra and believes that power is most important.
I wouldn't call that optimism as much as being naive. He probably believes that he can use power in order to get the Hokage position, but that is far from the truthSasuke thinking he has a chance at a title such as Hokage is optimism. Nobody would want him as a Hokage, because he just doesn't have the qualities a Hokage should have. That's what makes him a great character though.

How is naruto naive? His speech to obito about what it means to be connect to people and why he wants to be hokage was one of the most mature and grounded speeches in the manga.
What do you expect? He is just another vanilla Uchiha that is all about pride and arrogance. He pretty much a jerk just for the sake of being a jerk. If that's how he treats his old teammates how does he ever think he will be hokage?
Sasuke heard the past mistake of every Hokage. Therefore, he believe he know what it take to fix that mistake.Sasuke thinking he has a chance at a title such as Hokage is optimism. Even though Sasuke might look to be douche in everyone's eyes. Even his own teammates admits Sasuke is right to some degree. Because he is. Those who don't want him as the Hokage know nothing about him or his clan.
Kakashi stated Sasuke is right and should lead the Team 7.-He is a douche
-No one admitted that
-He isn't
-Everyone doesn't want him as hokage, not a single person alive does
-His clan where traitorous psychopaths who where the cause for the entire war
His real teammates are Jugo, Karin and Suigetsu. Not team 7 get over it, they were together in part 1 long ago, things change.....
Kakashi stated Sasuke is right and should lead the Team 7.
Sakura stated it as Sasuke-kun says, but thank you Naruto.
Anyone with a brain know the entire world comes before two people. What's pissing him off not that Naruto want to save them, but he's losing focus while trying to save them.
