Not my double standards, sorry. As sympathetic as I found him, Obito was a criminal and deserved to die. The fact he tried to ease his conscience before his death doesn't undo all the bad he did. The same goes for Sasuke.

@ the bold - The way these arguments usually work is that people make an assertion and then back up that assertion with evidence. It's a very simple but tried and true concept. Feel free to start using it.

After Kabuto failed to control Itachi (because Sasuke fixed his screw up much like he's been doing for the last 100 chapters or so), the battle was already decided. Izanami was already put in place before that exchange, and shortly after it was activated.

You buffoon. Credit is given where it's due. Sasuke helped Itachi stop the edo tensei. They are both heroes. Do you believe credit is not rewarded to others when it takes a group effort to complete a task? This is fallacy to any existing standard.

Credit is given it's due, and it's due almost entirely to Itachi. Sasuke would be the equivalent of a footnote acknowledgement. Yes, he helped to some degree, but he Itachi didn't need him, and what assistance he gave was minimal.

I question whether you actually know what a fallacy is. There is nothing fallacious any of my assertions as they are entirely based on facts, as opposed to your erroneous supposition that is based entirely on your fanboy bias.

And Naruto isn't worthy of becoming Hokage. He can't save anyone....

He saved the alliance 5 times: First time is him being in the war allowed him to take out all of the White Zetsus that was disguised as alliance members. Second and third times: , , and . forth time . Fifth time was when he and Kurama made a plan with Minato to FTG everyone out of Obito's barrier.

Itachi told Naruto the requirement to become Hokage and . Naruto remembers this when Sasuke said he would become Hokage but wasn't acknowledged by leaf ninjas like Shikamaru, Kiba and Shino. Hashirama said Naruto gives hope to everyone . Naruto have been acknowledged by Gaara . By A . Tobirama makes a couple comparisons of Naruto and Hashirama .

And of course you would come up with some illogical defense for your favorite character, and won't admit that neither Naruto or Sasuke is hokage material.
Just stop with the whole save everyone with kyuubi cloak, cause right now, that's not doing anything.
He did all that and they still got stuck in the infinite tsukuyomi

I gave you some reasons why Naruto is Hokage material ^^^ Many people acknowledge Naruto which is something Itachi said is a requirement to become Hokage oh and people in Konoha were saying Naruto should be Hokage when he defeated Pein

Obito saved the world three times already after turning on Madara. He has been redeemed.

No he hasn't, there's nothing he can do to redeem himself at this point. He caused many people to die and only trying to stop it would only be him cleaning up the fact that he helped started it but not the fact that many people died unlike he revived every single person he killed and stopped the threat.

Nope not at all. He's just helping others clean up his own mess.

Exactly, Sasuke and Obito are doing the same but it doesn't change the fact that they are both responsible for many people's death (Obito more than Sasuke).

He has done no such thing yet.

Brought Naruto back to life, brought Sasuke back from whatever god forsaken desert he was in, and dying to save Naruto is how he saved the world three times (since we all know that Naruto will prevail).

Had Obito not turn evil none of that would happen so he still doesn't make up for the fact that he killed the Uchiha clan after making them blamed for what he did, resulted in Naruto's parents dying, Manipulating Nagato, Manipulating Sasuke, starting Akatsuki filled with S rank criminals, and more. He's not redeemed but he is sorry for what he has done and is honestly trying to correct his mistakes but he is still viewed as a criminal.

So helping stop Juubito and Edo Tensei doesn't count huh?The double standards are unreal......

He helped created Juubito and many people died from the Juubi already so no that doesn't really help. Doesn't matter if Obito could have gotten Bee or a tentacle because Sasuke still helped him in the manga and we don't know if Obito could have gotten Bee since the only Bijuu he shown to capture was the 3 tails with Deidara which was wild. He got Kurama years ago by using his smarts but that doesn't show us how he would have gotten Bee who was so fast in 3 tails mode that Sasuke needed Karin to keep track of Bee's movements. Obito can summon Gedo Mezo but he doesn't have the Sharingan to control the Bijuus he have captured and it's huge enough to be seen so A and other ninjas would come to Bee's aid as well.

Oh and Sasuke didn't care about ending Edo Tensei, in fact he kept trying to kill Kabuto while Itachi told him not too. Sasuke only helped Itachi beat Kabuto while Itachi ended Edo Tensei alone; that's two different things since as Kabuto said himself killing him wouldn't end Edo Tensei.

Wrong, both Itachi and Sasuke stopped Edo Tensei.Itachi would've gotten captured if he fought Kabuto alone.

Wrong. Itachi stopped Edo Tensei while Itachi and Sasuke defeated Kabuto. That's like saying Naruto killed Kakuza when Naruto destroyed 2 of Kakuza's hearts and severed his chakra tubes while Kakashi killed Kakuza. Sasuke was trying to kill Kabuto a good amount of times which made Itachi keep saying down kill Kabuto. If anything it was Itachi and Naruto who stopped Edo Tensei since it was Naruto's KA that freed Itachi and it was Itachi's Tsukuyomi that stopped Edo Tensei. Sasuke helped defeat Kabuto which allowed Itachi to break Edo Tensei but that wasn't Sasuke's goal; it was only to kill or defeat Kabuto so he can talk to Itachi.

You can apply the same argument to Obito and his crimes are bigger than Sasuke's.But of course those double standards get in the way and all.

By the way Itachi would be under Kabuto's control back then if Sasuke was'n there to back him up,stop acting like he had no involvement in Edo Tensei.

He didn't really since he tried killing Kabuto which would make Edo Tensei unstoppable how Itachi wanted to stop it. He helped beat Kabuto which allowed Itachi to use Tsukuyomi on Kabuto but he didn't have a real involvement in Edo Tensei which took place after the fight so at most you can say Sasuke indirectly helped stopped Edo Tensei. But why is that even a big deal when the alliance only Edo tensei's were Madara (who stayed), Itachi (who was good), Deidara (who was trapped), Dan (who was in a barrier trapped), Kimimaru and Chiyo who would have been taken down since other parts of the armies were finishing up with beating the Zetsus and there were Lee and Sai in the area where Kimimaru and Chiyo were. Muu wasn't really a threat since he couldn't used his jutsus and was already being chased down.

More people died from the Juubi revival than the amount would die trying to stop Chiyo and Kimimaru since Edo's are weaker than when they are alive and Lee is now healthy and stronger than he was and would go 6th gates to beat Kimimaru if need be. Sasuke indirectly helped and hurt the NV but his hurt involvement is greater than the good from the sheer death number.

You buffoon. Credit is given where it's due. Sasuke helped Itachi stop the edo tensei. They are both heroes. Do you believe credit is not rewarded to others when it takes a group effort to complete a task? This is fallacy to any existing standard.

Sasuke helped Itachi beat Kabuto, Itachi stopped Edo Tensei. You can say Sasuek indirectly helped since he helped beat Kabuto which made it possible for Itachi to stop Edo Tensei but the same goes for Sasuke helping revive the Juubi which resulted in more deaths than the left over Edo Tensei would have since only 4 Edos remained active and the most important one still lived, Madara. You are right about group effort deserving credit and Akatsuki is a group effort for reviving the Juubi so the bad out shines the good when you count the death count.

Sasuke hasn't even done anything all that bad anyways .... from what I can remember, anyways.

becoming a missing ninja is a crime, Naruto and Sakura are the reasons Tsunade didn't have Anbus track and kill Sasuke. Joining Orochimaru who is an international criminal for being in Akatsuki and is an enemy of Konoha is a crime. Attempting to kidnap Bee is a crime. Joining Akatsuki made him an international wanted criminal. Attacking the Kage Summit is a crime. Helping to cause the Juubi revival is a crime. Temari said Sasuke was an international criminal now .

Gaara killed thousands for no reason, while Sasuke ONLY killed when necessary even Orochimaru branded him as soft and LOL I stopped reading when you said 'he kills because he felt unloved' dude just shut up, that's the most stupidest excuse ever!

Gaara have not killed "thousands" he killed a lot but no where near that much and you're talking about Hebi Sasuke which is not how MS Sasuke was. Sasuke started to kill people and he became as crazy if not more than evil kid Gaara at that time saying he felt a type of high killing Danzo and that he wants to kill Kakashi so badly and . Clearly you haven't read the manga to not know that Gaara grew up feeling like he was unloved by anybody and he killed people when he was older to feel alive but it only shown him killing people his dad sent to kill him, people who attacked him and when he couldn't handle the emotional strain of being seen as nothing but a monster.

Gaara did to others as Sasuke wanted to do to Itachi . Read what Gaara says , , , , , , and .

Gaara killed because he was unstable with the Bijuu and he had no meaning in his live due to being unloved and seen as a monster. He found meaning in killing and we know Shukaku was talking to Gaara and Gaara thought it was his mother . So Gaara has more reasons to be screwed up while Sasuke had a loving mother and brother and his dad did love him even though he was hard on him. Sasuke also have friends who cried for him and he started to rid his hate to live happy but tossed out all of his bonds for revenge. Stupid excuse is throwing away what you have to join a guy who wants your body just to get power to kill your brother when you can easily stay in Konoha and train with Gai (taijutsu specialist), Kurenai (Genjutsu specialist), Kakashi (ninjutsu specialist and Sharingan user).

He doesn't trust the people I don't think he favours a democratic rule.

Why do always have to reply with a wall of text? Almost every time I see your posts, they are at least 200 words I'm not even exaggerating.

Because I try to cover many base in one go, this allows me to not have to make many more comments to counter points that I can easily cover in one go. In this thread for example, If I only say Sasuke helped with the Juubi revival then someone can say well he's trying to stop the threat now. Then I would have to reply that his action still resulted in the death of many ninjas like Neji, Shikaku, Ao, Inochi (Ino dad, sp?) and more. Why spend more time going back and forth instead of covering more bases that support my comment?

You don't blame Aluminum providers for the crimes a M16 rifle user commits just because these weapons were created using his Aluminum... That doesn't make any damn sense.
If you are going to blame someone blame them for crimes they actually committed, not because of something they unintentionally and indirectly helped doing... even less since whether he actually helped or not, Obito would have gotten at least 1 tentacle by himself if not the full bijuu, and don't even get me started on Kabuto and his army of Edos who would have soloed KillerB neg diff, especially since without Sasuke's attack on the summit, the Kages would have never formed an alliance or even heard about the war at all (since you are blaming him for unintentional bad deeds, it's only fair to praise him for unintentional good deeds).... By your logic : you too committed unforgivable crimes since your taxes helped funding wars where innocent citizens got killed.

And I guess you didn't think about how Sasuke bringing in the kages, saved the entire shinobi alliance from total annihilation at least twice. Nor did you think about how him helping Itachi vs Kabuto allowed saved hundreds of trapped souls and living shinobis. Nor did you think that without his help Naruto wouldn't have been able to extract the beasts out of Obito. Nor did you think how without the Minato Sasuke brought along Naruto would have died because of the extracted Bijuu. Damn you Sasuke why did you help them ? Double check that logic, and face the fact that with or without Sasuke the juubi would have been revived, but without Sasuke the Shinobi alliance would have gotten exterminated.

Bad comparison, Bijuus are the ultimate source of chakra with power to change the landscape so how about saying I wouldn't blame a nuclear radiation providers for the crimes of a atomic bomb user. Oh and I would blame the provider in that situation obviously, problem with your example is that their are only 9 Bijuus, each are seen as weapons, each have power to wipe out villages so I made a better comparison.

Sasuke knew Bijuus contain incredible power and knew Akatsuki is a group of S rank criminals so he would know that their plan was not going to be anything good yet he didn't care. How would Obito have done that? When? Bee would sense Obito appear (all ninjas have could sense the presences of another ninja as non-sensors shown to do) and would have attacked. What can Obito do against Bee? Kamui him to his dimension? Ok then what? He can't take the 8 tails chakra like that and Bee was beat up the Gedo Mezo in the war which made Obito start the Juubi revival process. Obito doesn't have the skill set to capture Bee, not when he's pretending to be Madara and not as MS Obito. He has Kamui, fire katon, small wood jutsus, ninja weapons, and can use Gedo mezo. He only cut a tentacle off when Bee was trying to protect Naruto, in a 1 on 1 fight that wouldn't happen and that happened after Obito started the Revival process so the Gedo was in the barrier already.

When would Kabuto and his army "solo" Bee? At what point in time? Kabuto didn't know where Bee was except when he went on Turtle Island when it was Gai, KM Naruto, Bee, Yamato, few cloud ninjas. Gai would go 8th gate and kill Kabuto who is nothing compared to a Juubi Jin. Bee showed to have sealing jutsu and Naruto who had 1/13th the power due to making 12 clones prior was fighting on even grounds with Edo Itachi when he wasn't using any enhanced speed so what would all 13 KM Narutos do to Kabuto? In the war Bee had Naruto, Gai and Kakashi with him and before that his edo Nagato got beat by Naruto, Itachi, and Bee.

Obito would still tell the Kage's about the war, unless you think he actually stayed after saying Sasuke to tell them about the War because of Sasuke which is dumb since Sasuke wasn't there anymore. The point of the War was to get all of the shinobi's in the same place so he can carry out his plan. Sasuke didn't influence Obito telling them about the war one bit since Sasuke knew nothing about it nor played any part in making Obito tell them. Obito sent Zetsu there as well have you forgotten?

Bringing the Kages? That was Orochimaru, why do you think they asked Orochimaru what will he do since they were bounded after Sasuke said he was going to the war. Oh and there would be no need for Kages had Sasuke not helped the Juubi be revived. Helped caused the whole Alliance to almost be destroyed more than twice by the Juubi. Only Madara, Itachi, Chiyo, and Kimimaru were shown to be active Edo Tensei's and Madara stayed. Plus Sasuke didn't care about Edo tensei and tried to kill Kabuto; he indirectly helped stopped Edo tensei only because he helped Itachi beat Kabuto which allowed Itachi to stop Edo Tensei. Without Sasuke help Obito might not have been the Juubi Jin so Naruto wouldn't need him in the first place.

With or without? How would Obito have gotten Bee himself? He sent Sasuke for a reason. Bee can tank Obito's katon in his full release as he was hit by the Juubi laser tbb and he can just shoot tbb barrage himself. Obito only showed low wood jutsus that aren't on Madara level. Obito's ninja weapons only cut Bee when he saved Naruto which was after Obito started Juubi process due to Bee and Naruto and Kakashi attacking it. So at what point could Obito take Bee? Wasn't when Sasuke did it since he lacks the jutsus to capture Bee and it wouldn't have been in the war since Gedo would have gotten too much damage or destroyed so Obito would be more focused on controlling Gedo and protecting it to be attacking them with his weapons.

Do you actually think Itachi could've took on DSM Kabuto by himself with no backup? If so you need to read the beginning of that fight again because Sasuke saved him just as much as Itachi saved the former.

Kabuto would've captured Itachi right at the beginning with White Rage if he was fought alone.Stop undermining Sasuke's involvement in that fight.

Yes, I do, because that was clearly the case. Does Itachi strike you as the prideful type that would turn down help agains any enemy he couldn't face alone, even though the fate of thousands were hanging in the balance, out of some kind of misplaced pride? Of course not. The fact of the matter is Itachi didn't need Sasuke, he didn't even want him to be there. Itachi had Kabuto figured out completely on a psychological front before that, effectively, the fight was over before it really even happened. Itachi only chose to use Izanami rather than go for more effective and direct methods, e.g. Tsukuyomi because he took pity on Kabuto.

The one time Sasuke "saved" Itachi, it was only because he screwed up in restraining Kabuto in the first place, as illustrated by the pages you posted, ergo Itachi would have never been in "danger" (something I find questionable since Susannoo is a thing) if not for Sasuke's screwup.

I am not undermining Sasuke at all. You simply asserted a fallacious observation that I proved you to be wrong about. What an infantile way of putting it that is by the way - "undermine" as though I have something to gain from doing so.

My apologies if I hurt your feelings, that's wasn't my intention. It was only my intention to prove you wrong, which, in retrospect, I probably should have realised would hurt you in some way as you are so clearly attached to Sasuke as a character.

My feelings aren't hurt buddy, and I'm not even attached to Sasuke either.I still maintain that Itachi wouldn't have won against Kabuto alone since the latter was immune to all visual genjutsu including Tsukiyomi.DSM Kabuto counters Itachi's arsenal and without Sasuke there would've gotten his mind wiped and back under Kabuto's control.

You are free to maintain whatever belief you want, but that doesn't change the facts of the matter as I have so clearly laid out for you.

And for the record, two things: one, Kabuto was not immune to Tsukuyomi, he simply had a way of avoiding it; and two, Kabuto's fighting style was tailored to counter the Sharingan, specifically Sasuke's. Kabuto did not foresee he would have to fight Itachi, whose fighting style differs significantly from Sasuke's and whose temperament is mild and generally dispassionate as opposed to Sasuke, whose buttons are easily pushed by comparison.

So basically you're considering every possibility? But you might contradict yourself. It's fine if you want to do it that way I'm just saying more effort involved doing it your way.

@bold kurama leaked it's chakra to the akatsuki when it went on it's rampage, does that mean kurama is partly responsible for the death of all killed by the juubi? Actually, thanks to sasuke failing that mission, the hachibi was never caught in full so hachibi could fight alongside naruto against obito and prevent kyuubi from capture too, which means the juubi would have way stronger during revival.

If Kabuto was immune to genjutsu that would mean he could look Itachi in the eye and be unaffected by the Sharingan's genjutsu. That was not the case. DSM allowed Kabuto to counter the Sharingan, to effectively render it useless - it didn't allow him to literally make it not work.

@ the bold - are you suggesting Kabuto knew he would fight Itachi when he revived him? He didn't. Itachi was dead by the time he began to learn Sage Mode and plan to take out Sasuke. Of course he probably anticipated it when Itachi freed himself with Kotoamatsukami, but that wasn't an foreseeable event. That was Kabuto reacting to change circumstances and new developments, and Kabuto wasn't worried because he was arrogant. He was overconfident in his own ability and preparation. He hadn't anticipated Sasuke because he was planning to get to him after Tobi gave him the OK to do it, as, you know, per their deal.

Considering Kabuto had a thick layer of brille covering his eyesight then yes he wouldn't be affected from looking Itachi in the eyes.

And no what I'm saying is Kabuto would've defeated either Itachi or Sasuke back when they fought him in the cave. That's why they worked together to beat him.

do good deeds justify evil acts?

If I saved an entire nation from a lethal virus/oppression/genocide, does that mean I'm allowed to torture and murder an innocent child?

I don't understand how you could have come to that conclusion. Kabuto covered his eyes so ocular genjutsu couldn't be performed against him. A pre-emptive measure does not make you immune to what you are trying to avoid.

Yes, you have been saying that, but you haven't been able to prove it, so I repeat, you are free to believe whatever you want, but that does not change the facts of the matter, and it doesn't change that you are in the wrong. I don't know if it's stubbornness or an aversion to admitting you're wrong, but you are wrong.
