No he hasn't. Sasuke's motives are not revealed, he's not doing this to be good though as seen when he attacked Bijuu and various other acts through this war. Wthout him being there Itachi would've gotten captured by Kabuto.

Without him the Edo Hokage would never be revived and Obito/Madara would've won the war.

Without Sasuke Naruto would've been trapped in IT along with everyone else.

Or maybe you should stop wanking and look at it subjectively. He barely did anything against Kabuto, and Itachi was the one who broke Edo Tensei. He revived Orochimaru to ask him to Edo Tensei the Hokage; to which Orochimaru could have easily used the Hokage to murder Sasuke and aid the enemy in the war. Without Sasuke, Naruto would have gotten Hagoromo's full power and been able to resist it, not to mention, it's unknown even if IT would effect Naruto; Sasuke knows nothing of the jutsu, he clearly didn't know it would not effect Edo Tensei but it hasn't.

Not only was he not actively doing any of these things, but he was only doing them for his own gain. If Hitler had counterattacked Japan after Pearl Harbor, would we have signed a treaty with him despite all the shit he had done up to that point? No, because that would be utterly retarded and his motives are those of self-preservation, not out of the goodness of his heart. Same with Sasuke.

I don't see Obito getting a pass, he did so much evil deeds but the differences between him and Sasuke is that he reverted back into his good self and attempted to help or save people for it being the right thing and not for it being something that further his goals. Obito was willing to sacrifice himself to revive everyone he caused to die in the war when he could have still lived since he still had Gedo Mezo in him and Yin Kurama told Minato that he would still live. He revived Naruto and gave him the Bijuu chakra he needed to have them all. He saved Sasuke with Sakura, saved Kakashi by Kamui Kaguya bone and saved Naruto by standing in front of him to block Kaguya bone.

Nothing Obito did had anything to do with Obito's on good, he could have Kamui away and lived on but he tried to revive everyone he killed. Can you name one thing Sasuke did that wasn't for his own goal? (In the War arc.) I think Sasuke might try to earn everyone's forgiveness when someone gives him some wise words that will make him see that he does need to earn others forgiven, should care what they think of him, and build bonds with them if he ever hopes to fulfill what he wants to which is to become Hokage.

Obito only wanted to clear his conscious,that's why he helped everyone in the end and why he sacrificed himself.

Not really he wasn't really focused on saying sorry or anything, he didn't go to Naruto and say sorry for killing your mom and resulted in your dad dying, go to Sasuke to say sorry for being a reason that suspicion of the Uchiha grew because of him plus helping Itachi kill them and for manipulating you as well, say sorry to Kakashi for beating the crap out of him prior or anything. He knows he can't make up for his crimes but he tried to do everything that he can to at least do something to help.

He more wanted to be who he was before he lost his way but that's not really him doing everything for his own goal since he was going to kill himself to try and make up his actions to revive the dead and protecting those he believes can make a brighter future. Sasuke gave clues to why he is fighting for

but how can he expect to do that when he doesn't care what his suppose to be comrades think, he doesn't show signs of regret for his crimes, he doesn't try to have bonds with anyone. Obito have no goal for himself, he only wants to help out Naruto and Kakashi who he have build and rebuild bonds with. Even Sakura built a bond with him from when he saved her and when helped saved Naruto (2x) and Sasuke.

Obito can't really redeem himself, he's saving the world from the shit he's almost solely responsible for.

OP: Also, what could they really do against him? It's not like he'd willingly give himself up anyway, Naruto has already forgiven him.
