Sasuke can't make Naruto the core. If he could he would've done it at the same time since immediately after he does it he states that Naruto is the only other thing standing in his way. I personally want Naruto to rip that rinnegan right out of his head. How funny would it be if Naruto secretly learned FTG earlier on and he put an FTG seal on Sasuke already. The core to the chibaku tensei resembles a singularity which distorts the gravity around itself. This kinda makes sense to me. When naruto and sasuke sealed kaguya, it was with their respective seals, so I allowed the creative license for kishi to change how the CT operated. But, it makes no sense for a rinnegan user to have a different CT than the two other rinnegan users we've seen to this point.

The question remains: how did sasuke produce the gravity distortion without a singularity?

Naruto's gudoudama nullifies all ninjutsu and due to all chakra of 9 beasts within him he'll be immune to genjutsu(unless Sasuke can pull a mugen tsukiyomi on him). In addition, Naruto possesses the Sage's full physical prowess along with a speed rivalling FTG.

Sasuke needs to somehow combine limbo with senjutsu and taijutsu to stand his ground.
