He said "jounin level taijutsu"; it means the aspect he is excelled in is jounin level; not Lee which makes since he has little to no ninjutsu and genjustu aspects.

Had Sakura's words been proven right?

Do you even know what taijutsu means? It also includes proficcency, knowledge, agility, speed, strength, versatilty and different movements. Lee has every single one of these aspects, Sakura has only better stregth and that's it.

You say she is better with superior strength and chakra boost speed...Would she be able to maintain the speed or make several constant attacks? She would not even to be able to run faster.

she is clearly a troll.

No, Sakura's Taijutsu far exceeds that of Rock Lee combined with her medical ninjutsu and raw strength.

Medical ninjutsu isn't taijutsu. Its ninjutsu for god's sake it says it right there. NINJUTSU

Sakura has surpassed Rock Lee and Hinata in overall skills.

Let see She only uses haymakers that you can see a mile away, and one heal kick. Compare to Lees many different punches and kicks. Or 64 palm attack of Hinata, vacuum palm and twin lion fist.

You can't read, bro? Jiraiya says: But there are still NONE who can stand shoulder to shoulder with her in regards to BATTLE or mr medical jutsu.

Well....Madara seems to have done just fine :/

I have read the arguments of everyone, in addition to reviewing the manga itself. With that said, I agree with the author on some aspects, but disagree on others.

First, things that are irrefutable. Tsunade is, and apparently always has been, the primary physical combatant of her squad. In other words, for team Hiruzen, she was the "taijutsu specialist." Jiraiya and Orochimaru both showed a preference for ninjutsu as their means of engaging an enemy, usually in the form of elemental jutsu (Jiraiya's fire and earth release jutsu,) summons as auxiliary weapons (toads to defend with shield/barrier/combination attacks, snakes from sleeves/mouth/attackers,) or bodily modifications (Jiraiya's sage mode, Orochimaru's serpent-like body and other modifications.) Comparatively speaking, Tsunade's lack of a strong ninjutsu base made her excel in taijutsu and medical ninjutsu. All of her fights must be decided via a direct blow from her, which in and of itself would take a level of proficiency to be able to even get an enemy within her striking range while nullifying their ranged attacks. Therefore, Tsunade's taijutsu, though decidedly straight forward, is highly effective. Her medical jutsu augment this by allowing her allowing her to nullify more damage than her enemy, while having the distinct advantage of being able to decide the fight in one blow. Tsunade is also therefore a master of battles of attrition. Though she has not shown as much finesse as Guy and Rock Lee, none of the fights that she was shown to actively partake in allowed her to fight as such because of inconvenient size differences (fighting against a giant Manda, or fighting against the giant susanoo Madara's.) When she was engaging a human sized enemy, Orochimaru and Kabuto took to using tactical retreating, and the wooden clone Madara was incapacitated.

Guy's taijutsu has been honed to mastery levels, whether it be his speed (able to intercept Gaara's sand on Lee,) his strength (able to force a man through a wall on pushing strength alone, breaking rocks with his elbow technique,) or technique (undoubtedly knows many styles, as all of his thrown punches, kicks, and other attacks are comparable to real world martial styles.) Guy is also accomplished in close range weapon usage and the utilization of the eight gates, the gates which diversify and strengthen his techniques even more. While he is not a medical ninja, his style seems to adapt around that through a philosophy of not allowing yourself to be hit, while raining attacks on the enemy swiftly and strongly. This can be readily seen in his fight with Tobi, where the simply being touched once would mean a loss of the battle. In short, Guy's style and Tsunade's style are different, but I would be inclined to give Tsunade the win, if not for her supplementary abilities OUTSIDE of a taijutsu fight.

The argument of the thread seems to be based around Sakura and Rock Lee, and this is where I differ from the author. Sakura and Rock Lee are the two characters described to be "most normal," and it shows, because they are the only characters to have completely imitated the fighting styles and philosophies of people they are not related to. This is not to say that they are not proficient as individual ninja, but as of now, they have yet to go beyond the levels of their teachers. Lee has shown no evidence of asakujaku or hirudora, and Sakura, despite now having the byakugou seal, lacks Tsunade's natural raw strength, stamina via Uzumaki and Senju lineage, summoning, etc. Until either show something NEW, they are not complete as stand alone fighters. However, because of what Lee was taught, I believe that he can defeat Sakura. Sakura's attacks, while powerful, should be easily readable to a taijutsu specialist such as Lee, and the direct blow itself either avoided or parried. From here, the more technique based Lee has more options to counter attack Sakura with (if the blow is parried by knocking her wrist, and thus incoming fist to the side, he can immediately launch attacks at her torso from within her now open defense.) From what I have seen, Sakura's strength and perhaps automatic healing are the only things enhanced, and enemies not even that versed in taijutsu have beaten her once she leaves herself open after every attack (Omoi, almost killed by the two Zetsu posing as a couple.) Sakura's weakness is her lack of defense in the wake of an attack (she poses too often) and the addition of healing only lessens the chance that she will focus on defense (much like Tsunade that steadily forgoes defense in the name of more savage offense.) Lee, being a taijutsu specialist, will rain blows on her for every such mistake that she makes, while dodging or parrying her attacks as he has drilled himself to everyday, and we are all aware of how serious he takes his training. No matter what amount of healing a person has, a kick to the throat or base of the neck is enough to at least put them down for a bit. I think that, while Tsunade has enough in her arsenal to defeat Guy, Sakura would not be able to reproduce that in a match with Lee. What do you think?

What is going on here.
sakura strong as naruto and sasuke
sakura > Lee and Guy
Better taijutsu then lee and guy
Top 10, you have got to be trolling, there are waaaay too many stonger shinobi.
This chapter has made (few) sakura fan as almost as bad as itachi's fans
I was defending sakura for all the hate she gets but this just asking for it.
Like many people have said sakura only has strengths, no speed or good reflexes and her healing does not count as taijutsu.
you could be right about few stuff it will all be clear in the future chapters. but your way overestimating her, just wait a litte.

Thank you for some insigtful imput!

Now as a tag team match of just using abilities....Sakura and Tsunade would beat Gai and Lee....I can respect that.

HOWEVER,

The Auther claims that in Taijutsu, Sakura and Tsunade are better than Lee and Gai. I cannot agree to this. In raw Taijutsu talent, Gai and Lee's speed level implamented with their physically honed bodies are far more refined than Tsunade and Sakura. This is precicely because of Tsunade and Sakura's fighting style.

Sakura and Tsunade do not primarily fight on the premise of Taijutsu talent alone, but instead rely on the element of surprise under the hopes that they can tank an attack and close the gap before an opponent can react to the fact the enemy just tanked an attack that should have killed them (EX: Tsunade bursting through Madara's Katon jutsu). So in short, because of their ability to tank attacks, they do not refine their talents in Taijutsu, but instead train it enough to be able to close the distance, trap, and then One-Shot with physical strength.

Because of this, when the auther says that Sakura and Tsunade are better in Taijutsu....I disagree. Taijutsu is the ability to utilize one's natural body functions to fight. Sakura and Tsunade rely on the support of an ability to enhance their total combat efficiency where as Lee utilizes 100% Taijutsu, and Gai uses basically 95% pure Taijutsu.

Finally, it has been said that the 8th gate grants power above the Kage....considering Gai knows this move, he would be the overall strongest Taijutsu user in the series.

I don't comment on Sakura vs Lee; however, I do comment on Sakura's pure Taijutsu vs Lee's pure Taijutsu which the auther has stated as Sakura's Taijutsu > Lee's Taijutsu. A concept that I do not agree with.

Lee spent his whole life dedicated to Taijutsu....there's no way Sakura can outclass him in a pure Taijutsu fight without adding supplementary Ninjutsu techniques....and I will once again say the 8 Gates is a methode to override the brain's natural restraints on muscle use, and as such is a Taijutsu technique.

Once again thank you for a legitimate argument!

And when did i say he didn't have jounin level taijutsu? ;]. And Lee can become a jounin without knowing ninjutsu or genjutsu..

Taijutsu:

is a basic form of techniques and refers to any techniques involving the martial arts or the optimisation of natural human abilities. Taijutsu is executed by directly accessing the user's physical and mental energies, relying on the stamina and strength gained through training. It typically does not require chakra, though chakra may be used to enhance its techniques. Taijutsu generally requires no hand seals to perform, occasionally making use of certain stances or poses, and are far quicker to use than ninjutsu or genjutsu. Taijutsu is simply put: hand-to-hand combat.

Sorry sir but Sakura with her strength and training in medical ninjutsu.. is way more lethal then Lee in taijutsu.

Here is the problem.. she doesn't need "several" attacks.. 1 hit plus blitz is good enough for her.

I told him that, because I was annoyed. Does it mean I cared if he likes Sakura or not? no. Maybe instead of lecturing me on this.. you can tell others to stop character bashing? would be a whole lot more helpful to not only me , but the mods.

I explain sakura that way.. but the other don't explain lee as in that noone can touch him right? Your doing a bad job at being "non-baised"

Jiraiya disagrees:

You must be registered for see images

What you're doing right now is just trying to turn it around on me because you don't want to accept the undeniable truth that not everyone is going to share your POV. Your explanations sound like you're trying to force your POV of Sakura down their throats and make them see it your way. Non-biased? Hate to break it to you but I guess I am being biased. I don't like Sakura but I also don't bash before you go runnin your mouth about "haters". I know just how powerful she can be and ive accepted her stregths but I'm not going to agree that she can best two characters that I think are much better at taijitsu than she is and no amount of explanation from you or Telos is going to change that.

Medical ninjutsu is almost the only advantage they would have over rock lee or Gai IMO. But as far as strength goes its not going to win you every fight so easily. That's my opinion. Deal with it or GTFO.

Taijutsu is more than raw strength and power. Yes, Sakura is physically stronger than Lee.

But Taijutsu is more or less martial arts and the skill one has in close range combat/hand to hand battles. Lee is an up and coming master, trained by the undisputed TaiJutsu master in the series. Gai.

Lee's skill, agility, and raw power (which is not as impressive as Sakura's, but compared to the average human. . .Pretty damn impressive) will be more than enough to defeat Sakura and claim that Lee is the more superior Taijutsu user.

As far as Taijutsu goes, and an all out fight goes, Lee beats Sakura. I acknowledge that Sakura has monsterous physical ability; but her speed can't matchup with Lee's. Sakura's ninjutsu or genjutsu are not enough to slow Lee down; forcing a battle of hand-to-hand combat. In a taijutsu fight, Lee wins; Sakura is strong but you can't hit what you can't catch.
Tsuande can take down Guy, because she is versatile. Sakura isn't.
Pure battle: Lee > Sakura
Taijutsu: Lee > Sakura
