TBH, this SasuSaku relationship has no difference to other types of relationship in JP.
Most people there are very committed to their jobs, and thus, do not have the time that it takes to find a relationship.
They do not necessarily seek relationships for the sake of emotional fulfillment.

If Japanese values condone this sort of relationship then that's their problem tbh, shouldn't be normalised over here.

I would be lying to myself if I said I never cared for this pairing. I really did. It's just Kishi's bad writing pushed me away from it.
