so many trolls.. Nagato is great sensor, He never controlled he's rinnegan the way sage did. Kishi made hanzou attack to burn nagatos legs very early on the series so it would become he's doom in the end.. resisted control and can't walk/run.

kishi confirmed that nagato was given a handicapped of immobility, hence he lost, using Kabuto as a medium to emphasize this fact so that readers would assume a different outcome if he didn't have this handicap.
If I were the author, I wouldn't have to make up a silly excuse if I know that itachi is superior to Nagato, and that he'd beaten him fair and square. The excuse was made up so that Nagato would win against itachi had the circumstances were different.

When the scenario is perfect without bullsh*t other factor that get's in the way, if and only then Rinnegan users would come-out on top every single time. However we all know that Kishi or any other author/mangaka, would throw in a curve ball for the sake of the plot. For example, Nagato's immobility, and numbers gain or Naruto/Bee distraction that allowed Itachi to throw kunai to the eyes of Nagato's summons.

This thread was meant to show that the Rinnegan has counter for everything, hence whoever posses it are virtually invincible, and that's all that matters. It's that simple, no fapping/fanboyism bias in the equation.
