A 2/3 power sm naruto was beaten by Deva path.
A full powered Sm/base naruto did

Um...... I don't buy into the divided power among clones argument. It's why Pain> early SM Naruto. The power is clearly the same as the originals but slightly lower. It's only when you spread them out too much that there's a difference. Maybe I should make a thread on this.

Shushin, Jutsu's, number of clones you can make and a whole other host of other things use chakra. With 1/3 his chakra, he was limited in what he could do. It's in the same sense a 1/3rd itachi couldn't use any MS jutsu, naruto's also hindered... He wouldn't be able to use any of his oodama attacks for one.

If anything, Pain just got finished using ST which delayed his powers for about 3 minutes (pretty long time in NV) while Naruto was at decent enough power and still ended up on the ground.

Pretty sure that's only relevant if it took all of the chakra to do so. In Naruto, it's like there's a set amount of chakra for a ninjutsu. Reserves aren't really a factor, only quality. You realize that if clone reduction was a factor, 1/12 of SM Naruto solod the 3rd raikage. In other words, he's beyond godlike in speed according to this logic?

Pein clearly had the element of surprise, due to th lack of intel on their shared vision. I won't deny pein being fast and strong, but his taijutsu is lacking in skill feats. So to use a feat of base naruto fighting deva alone in taijutsu doesn't prove much

He isn't wrong. Deva and all the paths were handicapped. According to Konan, using the Almighty push slows down the recovery rate of the paths. So even the rest of the paths were not at 100% in this regard. Let's not forget that Deva or any other path didn't want to kill him.

I think it should be clear by now that the purpose of this thread was an attempt to make a fool out of me by posting this time wasting giant wall of ignorance, and then linking my debate with him.
