[Spoilers] saddest AOT death, who didn't you want to die?

of all the ppl that died in AOT, which one "touched" you the most, the saddest death, the one you really didn't want to die..?

for me .. I'm not sure, it's probably Hannes :S

every single death was extremely unexpected and touching for me. i honestly have never watched an anime that has gotten me so into the story and moved me so much. even when neji died i shrugged it off but everyone in AoT died just so insanely that i got hyped up each time

yeah dude all those guys got killed in extremely horrific ways! noone just got hit by a shuriken like in naruto they got eaten alive and ripped limb from limb its what we all fear! AoT is so awesome because humanity is finally facing an enemy that looks at us the way we look at other animals and idk i just like the idea. like those fodders that died protecting eren and the special squad while they were running in the forest those were great

I remember seeing her and thinking how her hair resembles Unohana Retsu... and that was close to when Unohana got massive trolled so the sad face was pretty high that day.





For me.... it was the Elite Squad during the Wall Plug operation (not to be confused with Team Levi). Surprising right?!


Here's my reasoning.... This is the first opportunity that humanity is winning. These people are right there watching Eren move the boulder. They know this is the first step in the direction of Humanity regaining their walls and even land beyond. The see that humanity is finally going to be able to begin moving against the Titans and maybe win, but they also know they will NEVER see that day finally come. They are going to die JUST IN FRONT of that door.

It could be something like this: You are playing in say a tournament of any kind. The match you are in is just before the finals... but everyone knows that whoever wins here is going to be the ones who win the tournament. But you end up getting hurt during that round in order to keep other players safe. So you have to fall knowing that you would have been able to experience and participate in the victory round, but you can't because you are falling just in front of it.

Watching that commander's head roll just as the last person to die honestly stopped me in my tracks and made me think: Holy shit... this sucks so much!!!



The worst named death is by far Hannes who was some form of a Fatherly figure, or even possibly an idol in the sense that he was a soldier. Followed by Petra and the squad Levi members.... and Mina because she reminded me of Unohana.

this was exactly my thought! once they entered battle the first time and everyone who seemed like they would be supporting characters started dying i realized that this anime wasnt some fairy tail like naruto or bleach or one piece. in this everyone was subject to death much like in real life and it kinda scared me cause now i fear for mikasa and armin even for levi

I know Auruo came across as a bit of a prick but he was just trying to act cool like Levi, even to the end when he said "hey you" to the Female Titan. He's an interesting character and it was a sad death.
