(Suiton: Suishōha) - Water Style: Water Shock Wave
How you would perform the technique in battle: Clapping his hands together, Tiashe releases chakra out from his body, and a mass of water spontaneously appears around his body. He uses shape manipulation to give it the shape of a vortex. It spirals around his body, causing the ground around him to become wet. He also becomes wet, and his hair and clothes flap around wildly as the vortex of water of spiral rotates around him. It makes him feel exhilarated and excited, not to mention he looks pretty badass too. Soon, Tiashe manipulates the water to move up and form a wave which he then sends forward. It goes crashing down a few metres away from him, churning up dirt and demolishing the ground beneath it. Truly a powerful technique, Tiashe thinks.
How you will use the technique offensively: I would most likely use it when the opponent is short range from me since it will surprise them more easily. It does not require a water source, and materializes instantly just after clapping the hands. So of course if I am in short range, the opponent should not have much time to react. Since it also reaches up to long range, I could aim it towards the target, and that would give me more time to add another element to it, one which is faster than it so it can catch up, like lightning. Also, this technique is great for defending from others. It creates a shield around the body, and therefore Taijutsu users will also not be able to land a hit. Elemental techniques which are weak enough also will not pierce through. Similarly, users who mainly use Taijutsu could perhaps use this technique to not get hit either.
How you can defend against the tech: To defend, a simple earth technique can be used as it is stronger than water. Wind and fire of the same rank as this technique could also be used to nullify the attack. Since water is fast, it would be better not to be in short range of this technique. Sharingan users can defend against this more easily that ordinary ninja as they can predict its movements. Also, one could use hiding like a mole technique but that would be highly risky if they are in short range as they will be slow to move into the earth.
Whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting: I find it to be quite interesting as it just materializes after a single clapping of the hands. This allows for a well executed and surprising attack. It also does not require hand seals. And since it only needs a clap, it does not mean much to the opponent as claps are used for many Jutsus. They will not be able to predict the attack.
Questions: 1- Can this wave be used to travel on? What I mean is, can the user 'ride' the wave by controlling chakra on their feet without being harmed since they will be on top of it?
2- When the water materializes around the user and forms a spiral around the user, how long does it spiral around for? Because since this technique can be used as a surprise, I'm thinking maybe it might actually not be surprising at all since the opponent will be able to see the water spiraling around the user before it attacks them. In that case, I would use a Jutsu before this one to distract them first.
(Suiton: Ukojizai no Jutsu) - Water Style: Rain Tiger at Will Technique
How you would perform the technique in battle: Tiashe performs the Bird → Rat → Ox → Monkey → Rat → Snake hand seals and then sends his water chakra into the clouds above. He then wills it to rain, and rain starts to fall steadily. As it makes contact with living things, Tiashe can sense their chakra. He feels the chakra of small things, and concludes that they must be little animals, scurrying around in the rain trying to find shelter. It is a strange feeling for him.
How you will use the technique offensively: This technique is a great one to use when the user has poor visibility. Thus, I would use it in conjunction with the hidden mist Jutsu. That way, the opponent can not see me, neither can I see them. But since I would be using this rain technique, I could detect them and for an attack. Also, the opponent will not even be able to see the clouds and blow them away since they would not be able to see anything.
How you can defend against the tech: To defend, one can use a wind Jutsu to blow away the clouds causing the rain. If blown far enough away, it will cease to rain anyway since it has to be a certain distance to the user.
Whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting: This is quite a good technique, as it makes a pretty good combo with the hidden mist Jutsu. Also, they are both low ranking techniques, and at the same time they can get the better of an opponent with higher training in elements. I also find the idea of sensing the targets chakra to be quite interesting. So even of the user was in a low visibility situation, they would know where the target was. And I love how it is long range. That way, the user can also use it to gauge how many opponents there are on the battlefield when in low visibility. And since the hidden mist Jutsu is also long range, they can both be used together without any problems.
Questions: 1- Once the user finds the targets location, can they shoot a lightning technique onto the rain falling above the target, so that the target may be electrocuted?
2- How high are the clouds? Because this technique works in long range, does that mean they should be within fifteen metres?
3- Does the user send water chakra to previously formed clouds, or are the clouds themselves made by the user? And if the clouds are made by the user, then the opponent can observe the clouds being formed? Or if clouds can not be formed, and only water chakra is sent up, then can that be observed by the target?
