Yeah they didn't have Uchiha power you need both Senju and Uchiha to get the Rinnegan thats why i say that Nagato was givin Uchiha power by Madara and mabe the same was done by Itachi to Naruto.

The manga states their distant blood relatives/share a common ancestor. Nothing about branching from the Senju.

And the Rinnegan is a KKG. Manga Facts!

But the Elder Son inherited the Sages Eyes. The Elder Son's descendants are the Uchiha. And nothing more was said about the relationship between the Senju and Uzumaki. Just being distant relatives/sharing a common ancestor.

You're right I really can't say that the Uzumaki is a branch of the Senju just that they are related. But that common ancestor pasted the Senju blood down to Naruto.

So far its safe to assume the rinnegan is not an Uzumaki Kekkei genkai.
Madara himself said he ''gave'' them to Nagato.
My bet is he implanted them, since he implants eyes everywhere anyway.

imo, i dont think madara gave him the rinnegan! if he did give him it shouldnt it be like if you got the sharingan implanted that it is always activated and there is no way to unactivate it?

u see madara gave nagato, an uzumaki (who is related to senju clan),the rinnegan, to investigate the combination of sages eyes with sages chakra and body. of course he didn't expect to see the real limit of this combination in nagato, or else he wouldn't have given him such a power.
