Humanity > All religions.
Hindus and Muslims are the same.. Christians and sikhs are the same.... athiests and religious people are the same... meaning humanity is the same. We simply divide ourselves into groups and seek something that we are not sure of and debate and fight over different beliefs, instead of logically discussing them.
That was my response to the whole "1 truth" thing.
Ok I get you now. If humanity as a whole approached things from a logical standpoint... well one can only dream, as such simply isn't the state of the world.
But in regards to religion, at the end of the day, someone is right. And the answer affects humanity as a whole, both as a truth and how we act.
For example, if the atheist is right, then there are no morals. Things like emotions and logic actually don't exist and can't be explained in a purely physical world. It's all every man for himself, and someone like Hitler is on par with Martin Luther King Jr. Every man can do what is right in his own eyes. Every man is his own god. Additionally, the universe and it's intricate designs just cam out of no where, as did all the physical laws that work it.
But if the Bible is right, then there is an Almighty Creator who has made us and given us instructions. To cross those is to disobey God. Yet there is a route to forgiveness that he has given so that we don't have to suffer the consequences. He has reached His hand to humanity so that we may be saved. But rejecting the outreach -or worse being told to hold on to a falsehood instead of the truth- ends with the consequence of Hell.
Whichever one of these is right, or any other options, obviously will wholly effect how one would live their life. That is the importance.
I think he means to say all religions are right which, if he is, is honestly is dumb thing to even say.
He clarified above xD I misunderstood myself.
