Hello, ladies and gentlemen I present to you an interesting Idea that has not been posted on Narutobase and Narutoforum ever. This unique idea includes the main 3 ninja of Naruto-verse and, 1 god and 2 avatars of hinduism.

I do not mean to offend any religious people out there, so please read with a neutral mind.

Before you read:

The stories of the Avatars and other figures are based on common myths.

Also, there are difference pronunciations of the same name in many different scriptures, so please think open minded.

- Lord Ram , is also called "rama", there might be people who disagree, but it is true. "Hare Rama , Hare Krishna". Lord Krishan is also called "Krishna" in many dialects and songs. In Sanskrit, the original language, the word that refers to Lord Ram is pronounced "rama", unlike the hindi counterpart where its called "Ram".

So just want to clear that up.

Rikudou Sennin and Lord Vishnu

Lord Vishnu : The supreme deity of the Vaishnava sect of Hinduism. The Vishnu Sahasranama declares Vishnu as Paramatman (supreme soul) and Parameshwara (supreme God). It describes Vishnu as the all-pervading essence of all beings, the master of—and beyond—the past, present and future, the creator and destroyer of all existences, one who supports, preserves, sustains and governs the universe and originates and develops all elements within.

Rikudou Senin: This man is the supreme being of Naruto-verse and is hailed as a god. He has the power to create life and destroy life. He is "god" of Naruto verse, and displays similarities between the powers Vishnu had.

Connection: Rikudou in his life really had no challenge that is known, even the Juubi was supposedly not a big deal for him. In that aspect Rikudou is the top god of NARUTO. And in a sense is the Vishnu to the ninjas of the Naruto-verse.

Hashirama Senju and Lord Rama/Ram:

Lord Rama: He was the 1st of the 2 MAIN avatars of Lord Vishnu. Rama is referred to within Hinduism as Maryada Purushottama, literally the Perfect Man or Lord of Self-Control or Lord of Virtue. He is pictured as the ideal man and the perfect human. For the sake of his father's honour, Rama abandons his claim to Kosala's throne to serve an exile of fourteen years in the forest. His wife Sita and brother Lakshmana, unable to live without Rama, decide to join him, and all three spend the fourteen years in exile together. While in exile, Sita is kidnapped by Ravana, the Rakshasa monarch of Lanka. After a long and arduous search that tests his personal strength and virtue, Rama fights a colossal war against Ravana's armies. In a war of powerful and magical beings, greatly destructive weaponry and battles, Rama slays Ravana in battle and liberates his wife. Having completed his exile, Rama returns to be crowned king in Ayodhya (the capital of his kingdom) and eventually becomes emperor, rules with happiness, peace, prosperity and justice—a period known as Rama Rajya.

Hashirama Senju: A man who can be looked as the return of Rikudou to restore order to the world. Was hailed as a god of his time. Looked up by the shinobi world. Looked upon as the "ultimate" or "perfect" shinobi. Battled a Tyrant who was a threat to peace "finished him". Reigned as the "king" (exaggeration of how he was feared and the world followed what he said) of Konoha/Naruto-verse during his time. He is the "virtue king" of Naruto-verse also, seeing as he has given many advises and so on.

Connection: The connection between Hashirama and Rama is the closest out of the ones I've mentioned in the thread. One can view them as the duplicate copies of each other (No disrespect to Ram). Both were "kings". There personality and strong belief in peace, and being virtuous and looked upon as the perfect idol, strengthens their bond and similarity. Not to mention their special and loyal wifes. And the loyal brothers =]

Naruto Uzumaki and Lord Krishna

Lord Krishna: The 2nd Main Avatar of Lord Vishnu. Started to show miraculous powers since childhood. the divine Vishnu himself descended into the womb of Devaki and was born as her son, Vaasudeva (Krishna). The Hindu Vishnu Purana relates: "Devaki bore in her womb the lotus-eyed deity...before the birth of Krishna, no one “could bear to gaze upon Devaki, from the light that invested her, and those who contemplated her radiance felt their minds disturbed.” This reference to light is reminiscent of the Vedic hymn "To an Unknown God," which refers to a Golden Child. According to F. M. Müller this term means "the golden gem of child" and is an attempt at naming the sun.N anda was the head of a community of cow-herders, and he settled in Vrindavana. The stories of Krishna's childhood and youth tell how he became a cow herder, his mischievous pranks , his foiling of attempts to take his life, and his role as a protector of the people of Vrindavana. He was also the main reason of the Victory of Arjun ( a king) in the great battle of Mahabharata.

Naruto Uzumaki: Special since birth, looked upon as the return of the Rikudou by some. Viewed as the "golden child" (Not talking about what Mizukage said about Gaara lol.)Blessed with great power since childhood, had the goofy attitude and was and is still a prankster. Is the main reason why the Shinobi world will win the 4th Great ninja war.

Connection: Both are special since their birth. In fact had a special birth, not a typical normal kind. Had great power since birth. Both are pranksters during their life time. Both are looked upon by other leaders of the world they are in. Both decide the great outcome of the great battle between good and evil.

CONCLUSION/OVERVIEW

Basically,

Rikudou ->Hashirama -> Naruto = Krishna <- Rama <- Vishnu

Now people will say oh Hashirama isn't the strongest one or isn't even gonna be on par with Naruto in the end. But that is precisely why he is also related Rama. Rama is the inferior of the 3.

-Rama had 14 Kalas (symbols of divinity).

-Krishna had 16 Kalas

-16 Kalas = fully god.

Alrighty guys there you go hope you guys enjoyed reading it, and PLEASE POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn... This was nice. The only problem is that the Senju are based on Buddhism and the Uchiha are based on Shintoism. The process of Reincarnation (Rikudou in to Naruto) is more Buddhism related because of the Rinnegan relations.

But this was very well researched and presented. I commend you for that.

Modern Buddhism itself is derived from hinduism =D. Not to mention the last name "rama".

I couldn't really think of anyone in Buddhism that fits the role of the 3.

Aha! That is very true. Although the reincarnation is Buddhism related (The Buddhist process of such), the fact that it is derived from Hinduism proves a good point. Again, I will say this is a very insightful and good thread.

True true. I just can't help but think that Kishimoto looked at figures like Rama , since they are famous in buddhism also. =D

I would be inclined to agree. I mean... LOOK AT SHINSENJUU. It's literally a massive Buddha. =D

The song in the thread and the music I was listening to kinda mixed there and it confused me for a bit as to where the noise was coming from.

Excellent work. There is no doubt that Kishimoto takes inspiration from many religions. Tales that are told through oral and ancient writings are also influenced by one another and Kishimoto continues that tradition with his tale. Raijin & Fujin, the Nio Kings, Fudo Miyo O & Aizen Miyo O, Kwan Yin the list goes on and on. Keep your theories open to additional possibilities because Kishimoto certainly is. ;)

I have plenty of other theories on Rikudou being born with the Rinnegan and so on =D. But them theories is overdone.

Unfortunately the Naruto Manga has predominantly Buddhism and Shintoism influence, not Hinduism.

Naruto is a Samsaric Rebirth of Rikudou Sennin which is a Buddhist and not a Hindu concept, Buddhism unlike Hinduism does not believe in a permanent self (Anatta) therefore Naruto's Soul is Rikudou's Soul but their identity, memories are different from each other only sharing the Karmic imprints of the rebirthed soul.

The linkage is that Buddhism is inherently derived from Hinduism. Only difference is the ways they interpret the method of reincarnation.
