What would have been the result of the final Gai vs Kisame fight if Kisame had began the battle at 100% (full rest, no half transformed body) and had Samehada's full loyalty?

* Let's only talk about 7th gate Gai in this since we already know if he went to full 8 they'd both wind up dead anyways.

I thought Kisame's shark transformation might give him an edge in the ocean. Would you guys mind explaining more? I haven't picked a side or anything, just interested to see how the battle would play out.

He would have been able to fuse with samehada and since they were in an ocean samehada's loyalty would have been a big advantage if that were the case he would never get hit by hirudora in a vast ocean as a shark ...

Kisame lost because he was weaker, he used his ultimate attack which did nothing. Knowing about hirudora doesn't help him because he can't do anything about it when his strongest attack couldn't save him.

U literally said fail because he already had the advantage without samehada ._u must thought that shit was bullet proof. Anyway yes he was at an advantage from the start which is the ocean but fusing increases that advantage and takes it a step further .

Kisame without samehada cant swim like he can and has with samehada which maneuverability in his oceanic advantage is vital in this debate since he could avoid hirudora entirely as well as take it and keep on trucking as i explained previously how without samehada he resist genjutsu and perform jutsu and still could move and attack furtherfusing with samehada increases his durability and or negates the injury depending on if he fuses before or after hirudora is landed...
