Kisame lost only because of his ignorance of gai's jutsu not because 7th gates was more powerful which is not the case he was better

Regardless if it destroyed a susano which there is no actual proof of madara's susano being destroyed only proof of an explosion but for the sake of debate ima go with it


Madara was fighting multiple shinobi at the time so clearly 1 vs 1 gai would have lost as soon as it started also hirudora would have been a none factor


Any kisame tanked hirudora already since he could still fight , perform jutsu and maintained his physical abilities so adding in samehada and fusing is a durability buff... Common Sense

I still give it to Gai. He is a bad match up for Kisame for the simple fact that Gai doesnt use chakra. The reason he was so strong against bee is because I absorbed most of Hachibis chakra. Kisame said himself his strentgh is according to his opponents. He tried the same with Gai and lost.
