After hearing Nathan Sensei's request, Sakumo carefully thinks before responding.
1. I want to learn Raiton because it is the most useful of the 5 basic natures in my opinion. It can boost or be boosted by water. Enhance reflex and cutting power. In addition to that, it is required for a Magnetic Bio. Last but not least, it is the most visually appealing.
2. Raiton is weak to fuuton because wind is an insulator. Its also weak against Dark release because dark release can absorb raw energy which is what raiton basically is.
3. Raiton is strong against doton because lightning easily travels through and destroys earth like materials. Due to raiton's cutting power, it has the advantage when facing Ice, wood, and crystal. Suiton can conduct raiton and boost each other. Lava for some reason is weak against Raiton. I guess it can cut through rubber, but i don't see how it has any other advantage against the other variants. If you could explain that to me, that would be great.
4. Sasuke, Kakashi, Darui, Ay, and Killer Bee are all raiton users. Sasuke mainly uses chidori variants. Kakashi uses a wider array of raiton like Rakiri, Raiton Clones, Rakiri Transmission and the like. Darui combines it with water to create Storm jutsus and well as using water as a conductive medium for raiton. Ay uses it to increase his speed and reflexes. Killer Bee uses it to increase the cutting and piercing power of his swords...and pencil.

With lightning and electricity, the molecules in the element move at such a high velocity they are so powerful and hard to control and that instability is reflected upon in the in the use of the element. In Raiton techniques, there is always some level of discharge showing the lightning’s rebellious and difficult to control nature. The speed generated by lightning doesn't only increase its instability but it can also increase properties such as sharpness. The radip flow of molecules being condensed to vibrate at high frequencies and speed allow for applications on bladed weapons. Take Sasuke's use of lightning with his katana, or Ameyuri Ringo, one of the seven swordsmen of the mist with her blades, Kiba. Lighting is added to those blades which increases their ability to slice through almost anything like butter. Though this isn't the only practical use for lightning, there is also the properties of electrocution. The amount of electricity a lightning technique possesses can cause so much damage from paralyzing one's opponent to completely overloading their bodies with electricity and killing instantly. Some cases (as suspected with Kirin though never proven), the complete obliteration of one's opponent. Not only electrocution but heat. One generally thinks of Fire when the word heat is brought up, however why is that? Higher energy is generated when molecules move more rapidly. As mentioned before, those within lightning and electricity move at great speeds, thus allowing for burns to be generated with lightning release as well, however that's not commonly thought of.

Sakumo takes the paper from Nathan Sensei and places it in his right palm. He then concentrates chakra into his palm. Soon after blue chakra appears around his palm. Sakumo notices the paper still has not changed.

Soon Sakumo finds himself in an open field in the middle of a thunderstorm. He sees powerful bolts of lightning striking in the distance, but then it stops. Out of nowhere, Sakumo himself is struck by lightning. The sense of death awakes him from his meditative trance. Sakumo awakes to see the wrinkled piece of paper in his hand. Sakumo kneels as he presents the wrinkled piece of paper to Nathan-Sensei.

Then he thrusts them towards Nathan Sensei's clone and sends out multiple bolts of lightning at it. The bolts all hit their target causing the clone to disperse. Sakumo grins as he looks at the raiton chakra in his hands and clinches them in fists.
Next please. Also the jutsu was kind of vague on where the bolts come from so I assumed the hands. Can they come from other body parts or anywhere on the body? If so would spinning and releasing bolts in an omnidirectional area be a valid move?

Yes from the hands when it is vague like that, and yes it would be a valid move.

- 2. It could be used to throw a Swift Release user off
- 3. Possibly force the opponent to jump

- 2. Doesnt have numbing effects(I think)

A futon of equal or greater rank that can be aimed at the ground. I have not been trained in futon but in specific I would use Wind Release: Dust Wind Technique. Since the jutsu loosens and throws the top layer of the ground if would effectively disturb the medium the raiton jutsu uses while interacting with the Raiton itself.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): Since the jutsu is very similar to the past jutsu, I remember the steps used in those jutsu and gather raiton chakra in my right hand. Next I wave my hand from right to left while releasing lightning bolts thus creating a wave of lightning bolts.
