(Raiton: Raigeki no Yoroi) - Lightning Release: Lightning Strike Armour

This overall is my most favorite c ranked raiton. It offers both offensive and defensive uses. It can be used to power up attacks or defend against jutsu of equal rank. It can defend against B ranked dotons too.

(Raiton: Raigeki) - Lightning Release: Electric Attack

I like this jutsu because of its simplicity yet overall usefulness. The jutsu has great range and can even avoid obstacles. This forces the opponent to defend with a faster jutsu or defend at the very last moment so I don't have time to make my jutsu avoid his defense.

(Raiton: Jibashi) - Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder

This jutsu is my favorite because it can enhance any suiton the user is in contact with and increase its lethality and gives it the ability to overcome its natural weakness of doton.

(Raiton: Raiton no Heki ) – Lightning Release: Lightning Release Wall

Description: The user manipulates their chakra while doing the Ox hand seal and then releases it in front of him whilst holding their hands out. By doing this, the user generates a wall of lightning energy that can defend against certain techniques. The user can use this defence to shock enemy targets who attempt close range combat and deliver massive shocks to anything that comes in contact with it.

Merely a lighting wall. So perform the seal while gathering up your lihgting chakra in your hands, then release the chakra by placing your hands out in front of you. The wall shall be made, can defend against A-rank and below earth, weapons and whatnot. You can also use it if you are close to your target, which will shock them quite good.

Why can't it defend against A rank dotons?

One/three advantages:

• 1. A shield with offensive uses
• 2. Only 1 hand sign needed despite being B rank
• 3. I assume the shield can be moved by moving both hands

One/three disadvantages:

• 1. Requires uses of both hands
• 2. Leaves the user vulnerable to attacks from below and behind
• 3. Delivers shocking damage but not numbing

How you would use it in battle: I would use it as a defense to projectile attacks. I feel that using this jutsu in cqc range could possible leave me vulnerable
How you would counter it: I would use swamp of the underworld to restrict the targets mobility and attacked with a ranged jutsu from behind.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): I perform the Ox seal and gather and mold raiton chakra in both of my hands. I then hold my hands out in front of me while releasing the raiton chakra. Then I apply shape manipulation to change the raiton chakra into a shield.

(Raiton: Reijingu Sandā) - Lightning Style: Raging Thunder

Description: The user creates a half shaped dome of lightning that can be pushed forward in a similar way to a "wave of lightning" attack. It has both paralyzing and shocking properties as well as physical momentum.

Pretty much gather your lighting chakra out in front of you, and then use shape manipulation on it to create a half shaped dome. That you will push forward using your chakra, it can be used to counter earth techniques, medium sized ones, and if it hits a person will shock them, and paralyse them, as well as blunt damage.

One/three advantages:

• 1. Judging by the Narutowiki pic it can be done with a sword and it covers a lot of frontal area
• 2. It shocks and paralyzes
• 3. It relies on momentum so it can easily plow through techniques especially dotons and keep power.

One/three disadvantages:

• 1. Its a bright and big jutsu thus not very stealthy
• 2. It has a easy to predict path. Most likely linear
• 3. Attacks only the fronts.

How you would use it in battle: SInce the jutsu covers a lot of frontal service area, I would use it to plow through defenses like Earth Wall. The Earth Wall would block both the targets and my sight so I can rely on the surface area to hit him if I am not spot on.
How you would counter it: Since the jutsu puts the users in harms way, I would counter with a B ranked fuuton from a range. The target will be harmed while I am out of his range.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): I start to gather and more raiton chakra right in front of me. With the use of shape manipulation and I change it to a half dome with a lot of surface area. I then charge it into a nearby tree thus destroying it.

(Raiton: Sandā Sāburu) - Lightning Style: Thunder Saber

Description: The user gathers lightning chakra around his fist, generating a sphere of pure lightning around it. The user can then punch a target, unleashing the lightning in the form of a localized electrical explosion.

Alright so make a fist with whatever hand you want, then channel your lighting chakra into your fist which in turn will create a sphere around said fist. From that you will punch your intended target. For this let's say my clone, and as you punch him with the fist with the sphere of lighting around it, the sphere will explode, it will not hurt you, but will cause a decent amount of damage to your target.

One/three advantages:

• 1. Electrical explosive damage which means concussive and thermal damage
• 2. Can be combined with taijutsu I assume
• 3. Can target anywhere on the body

One/three disadvantages:

• 1. Logically can be countered with the appropriate taijutsu move
• 2. Only lasts for one hit
• 3. Limits the uses of one hand

How you would use it in battle: In combination with taijutsu. It would kinda be similar to NB taijutsu but not be NB taijutsu
How you would counter it: I would use Intersection method. I would catch the arm with my knee and drive my knew downward on their arm which would break it. All while being sure to avoid contact with the raiton.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): I start by molding and concentrating raiton chakra into my right fist. Soon my fist starts to glow and becomes covered in a sphere of raiton chakra. I then slam my fist into your clone's chest which results in an electrical explosion that does a great deal of damage to it.

(Raiton: Ikazuchi no Kiba) - Lightning Release: Fangs of Lightning

Description: The user will raise his hand or a weapon and send an electrical discharge into the clouds, allowing them to create lightning strikes in the desired location. The discharges are triggered right after the technique and cannot be delayed or prepared before hand but are quite fast.

Send your chakra into your hand, or a weapon if you want. Then by releasing the lighting chakra from your hand/weapon, you will release it into the sky as electrical discharge which will in turn create lighting clouds in a sense. Which then will allow you to create and control where lighting hits. The lighting happens as soon as it is in the air, you can't say leave the lighting up there and use it in the next two turns has to be used in the same turn as you post the technique.

One/three advantages:

• 1. Despite all the things that need to happen for the jutsu to work, they seem to happen in quick succession.
• 2. Lightning Strikes are fast
• 3. No handsigns despite being a powerful jutsu

One/three disadvantages:

• 1.Although it doesnt need storm clouds like Kirin it still needs clouds thus cant be used on a non-cloudy day.
• 2. Can't be prepped or delayed
• 3. Sending raiton chakra into the sky gives off that it is an attack from above

How you would use it in battle: I would use it to lessen the escape routes. For example if I used a jutsu that attacks from underneath my opponent then I would follow up with this jutsu from above so they can't jump.
How you would counter it: Out of my current known jutsu. Lightning release wall would be my best bet. The two jutsu are equal rank and the same nature so they would cancel out. There isnt an need to shoot a more powerful jutsu that would go through the raiton because my jutsu would just continue into the sky. Although a powerful enough Katon could defeat fangs of lightning, continue into the sky, and setup a storm for Kirin.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): I start gathering and molding raiton chakra into my right hand. I then hold my hand up into the sky and discharge the raiton chakra into the clouds above. Quickly the raiton discharges my down in the form of a lightning and hits a nearby tree.

(Raiton: Shichu Shibari) – Lightning Release: Four-Pillar Bind

Description: After the user performs the Ram → Boar → Dog → Bird → Hare hand seals, he releases his lightning chakra into the ground, using it to forcefully shape the earth into 4 big pillars (proportionate to the target area) around the target. Once they rise, they unleash a barrage of lightning bolts, currents and shocks to whatever is inside, paralyzing, shocking and damaging the target from all around.

With this one you will perform five handseals, then by releasing your lighting chakra into the ground, it will flow though said ground. Until it reaches your target which from then the lighting will forcefully shape the earth around your target; it will be transformed into four big pillars which flow lighting though them. Releasing some lighting bolts, from all sides.

(Raiton: Ikazuchi no Utage) - Lightning Release: Lightning Burial ~ Banquet of Lightning

Description: The user brings their hands together and an electrical energy will begin to crackle around them. They will then slam their hands to the ground to send an electric current racing through the earth. When the current approaches its target, it can split into multiple tendrils to attack separate targets individually.

So bring your hands together while channelling lighting chakra through them, once you have done that. Slam your hands on the ground releasing the chakra in the form of a current of lighting that will race though the earth, cracking it about, etc... You can also make it split into more then one current to take more then one person, or attack the same person from all different angles.

I perform the hand seals Ram → Boar → Dog → Bird → Hare and start to gather loosely concentrated raiton chakra in my body. With precise chakra control, I guide the raiton chakra from my body into the ground and forcefully shape the it into four pillars within short range of me. They then release a deadly raiton chakra into the center point between them which would kill any normal ninja.

Question? Is this plausible defense to Swamp of the Underworld? Like can I make one of the pillars appear under me and jump off before they shoot off raiton?

Now I clap my hands together and start to gather loosely concentrated raiton chakra in both of my hands. Then I slam my hands into the ground and channel my raiton chakra into the ground. My raiton chakra then races through the ground toward a tree mid range away. Once the chakra gets within short range of the tree, it splits into multiple currents and hits the tree from multiple angles.

Some more questions. In the anime this was done with two swords. After the clapping step can this be done with two swords in the RP? Also does this jutsu work on a body of water and how exactly does it interact with Swamp of the Underworld? Sorry about the Swamp questions, but once I master Raiton and Katon, I want to use them exclusively or atleast as much as possible. I believe Scorps or some mod ruled Nagashi was no longer a defense against swamp because its size. Most raitons if not all the raitons I have learned aren't large size-wise so I'm just curious.

It can be used against the swamp, but can't be used to boost you out of the earth.

Yeah if it was shown in the anime that it was used with two swords, I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed to not use it with swords. No it won't work on a body of water, you'll get hurt if you do that. You can use this technique as a counter to the swamp, it rips through the earth, it dries up the earth/swamp. Yeah, Nagashi can't counter it anymore.

Really simple, and quite boring imo. You lift your hands up into the air, gathering your lightning chakra and releasing in the same motion, this releases a bolt of lightning which goes towards your target...

Now I gather and concentrate raiton chakra between my palms. With the use of shape manipulation, I elongate the raiton chakra into a rope. I then grab it with my my right hand a whip it at a nearby tree.

Does this jutsu deal concussive or electrical damage as in shocking?

Now I start to gather and mold raw raiton chakra in my my right hand. As the chakra radiates it makes the standard electricity noise. Anyhow I thrust my raiton covered hand toward a tree and radiate my raiton chakra 1m in front of me while apply shape manipulation. My raiton chakra takes the form of a wolf complete with the barking now. I still have to keep up my focus and use shape manipulation to move the legs of the raiton hound. The raiton hound, while under my control, runs in a zig zag pattern, bashes into a tree, and disperses after applying electrical damage.

I assume the raiton wolf can run atop of Swamp of the Underworld correct?

I start to gather and mold raiton chakra in my open mouth. At this point the raiton chakra is rather unfocused. Now I release the raiton chakra from my mouth. With subtle shape manipulation, I allow the raiton chakra to keep its natural lightning form, but I have the blast split into multiple streams as the ravage through the area and hit the multiple training logs.

Note: Can only use lightning based techniques up to B rank.

Lightning shadow clone, with a good effect instead of just disappearing, it turns back into lighting which for example if your target punched it, they would get shocked in their effort.
