I get it, lightning is followed closely behind so if I were to use a technique like Intelligent Hard Work or Magnificent annihilation, followed by a powerful lightning technique, if my fire is countered by water, the lightning will still follow through, the fire will act as a distraction.

Final question, in terms of countering another elemental technique with lightniing. For example; opponent uses a B-ranked water technique and I use an A or S-ranked lightning jutsu (a wave) how would that technically work due to the mass of the water and overshadowing the lightning?

Same with earth and fire

Excellent! Now, as you might imagine, all of these variations are Chidori Variations. Chidori is in essence a specific high vibrancy lightning set of techniques that paralyze and numb besides also piercing your target.

The lightning in the user's palm sounds like birds chirping, hence the name.
Note: Someone who mastered lightning release can perform chidori with just the Ox hand seal.

Basically a chidori that covers your whole body. Its unfocused so it won't kill your enemy nor will it block most attacks. However, it will paralyze anyone that comes near and can even break low rank genjutsu (up to B-Rank). Also, in the all around version the range is short, if you aim at a single direction or channel it through something it can go up to mid range (although not all around in this case).

Again, self explanatory. Sasuke used this against Orochimaru (when he was about to possess him) and against Killerbee.

As the opponent reaches him, the user strikes the falling opponent in the back with his Chidori, and then lets the helpless victim falls off.

Self explanatory. While you are in the air you concentrate the chidori in your hand and unleash it, forming a large thunderbolt that comes crushing down on your opponent.

(Raiton: Chidori Jinrai) – Lightning Release: 1000 birds ThunderClap.

Note: Only the spear extention can reach up to mid range.

Only question I have is, when you said unless I had a Kakashi or Sasuke bio I'd need the sequence of seals correct? It says in the technique that you can use only the Ox seal if you wanted to once you master Lightning release is that still true even without a Sasuke bio or Kakashi bio?

Also extending from that note will I need the sequence of seals for ALL of the varrients?
