OOC: Good, thank you.

Tobirama materializes out of the moister in the air short range from his student, with his traditional stance; having his arms crossed over his chest.

Very well then, I would like you to tell the me the following in your own words without reading any kind of scrolls(wikipedia)

• What is Rain
• What are its weaknesses and strengths
• Known users that specialize in (Anime/Manga.)

Hal moves a step back as he notices his Sensei materialise.

Huh, cheap move Sensei. Bring something new to the table.

He too folds his arms across his chest, mocking his Sensei as he listens..

What? No scrolls? I don't even know a sh*t about Rain without scrolls:|

Well, guess I dont have any choice, do I?

Rain is an element specially used in our RP. It is something that requires you to use your wind and water chakra to create. In layman's words, you make it rain, you change the properties of that rain, and there, you have a jutsu xD

Weak to: Earth. Rain can be considered the same as normal water. Wind, can blow the clouds away with the appropriate jutsu.

Strong to: Fire. Rain can be used to douse fire as normal water would. Another weakness, although not direct, is that while Rain is falling on the battle field, in certain cases, the use of Lightning techniques may be risky.

I guess Nagato and Yahiko used it

Yes correct. Rain is an advanced version of water release, allowing you to manipulate water on a greater level. For example, allowing you to go so in-depth in the manipulation of water that you are able to focus on singular rain drops. You are also correct on the strengths and weaknesses of rain. Just like water, rain is stopped by most earthen defenses depending on the nature of the rain technique of course. Rain can douse of fire indeed, however not directly from the rain but from the gathering of rain water within a single point, creating a big enough technique that would allow you to evaporate the fire. It's virtually impossible to use a B ranked frozen rain drop to combat a B ranked dragon fire ball the size of a small car.

Now, moving on. I would like you to perform the 'Water Style: Rain Tiger at Will Technique' and make it rain in order to commence our training. You will then sit down and meditate for a few hours. Think about the rain, be one with the rain, try to align your chakra with the rain.

Hai!

Hal forms a single handseal to make it rain over the entire training area. As it pours, he takes his seat on a large rock, where he starts meditating. He senses every chakra on the training field, including his and his Sensei's. The chakra of all the small warm blooded creatures, the chakra of small insects, and ever other chakra that is in the vicinity. With time, he is able to feel the oneness with the rain, as if he is able to control the rain drops minutely. Once he reaches that stage, he opens his eyes, to look at his Sensei ready to gain approval.

(Suiton: Ukojizai no Jutsu) - Water
Style: Rain Tiger at Will Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A perception ninjutsu,
allowing one to freely manipulate
rain infused with the user's own
chakra after waving the Bird → Rat
→ Ox → Monkey → Rat → Snake
hand seals. The rain falls from rain
clouds, formed with the users own
chakra. During this technique, the
falling raindrops are closely linked to
the users senses. When the rain is
obstructed by a chakra belonging to
someone the existence of the target
can be detected. The rain will keep
on falling until the user uses the
seal to cancel it.

I think that's enough meditation. Now...hat did you experience while meditating? how did it feel?

Nothing special actually. I feel like this all the time since I mastered water. It's like I have a feeling I can control ever drop of water now. More like I can control every rain drop. It's much more clearer.

Quite confident I see. That's good, but not all the time.

Tobirama proceeds to open up a scroll in front of Hal.

From now on I would like you to start using this scroll (template) for every time you perform (reply) to a technique.

Splendid.

(Ame Tama no Jutsu) - Rain Bullet Technique
Rank: D
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: By focusing chakra into the user's hand they are able to gather rain drops towards their palms, the rain is molded together by chakra and forged into a high pressured orb. Once done the orb will shoot away from the users hand and the user will be knocked back. If it hits the enemy the enemy will be sent away flying or unbalanced.
This is a very simple technique and very similar to regular water-release related techniques. I want you to focus your chakra outwards and manipulate the rain droplets around your vicinity to come inwards onto your palm. You will the shape manipulate the rain drops into perfect orb of rain water. Using shape manipulation I want you to highly pressurize the orb as you are forming it. Then its a matter of simply releasing the orb to your desired target. Though keep in mind, unlike other techniques this one packs some recoil.

I want you to test it out on this wooden dummy.

Meh, such an easy task >_>

Hal concentrates as he channels his chakra outwards. He manipulates the nearby raindrops to accumulate on his palms as he keeps them outstretched. As it keeps accumulating, he uses shape manipulation to shape it into a perfect orb of rain water. Once done, he launches it at his Sensei.

Oops, I need some target practice (Hahaha)

Strong points

  • No handseal
  • Can get a recoil. If used is an advantage

Weak points

  • Recoil
  • Short range
  • Slow. I'd better use some fast water techniques in this short range.
Combinations-strategies : I'd prefer using this when the opponent it's jumping/flipping

Ways to counter this technique: A small shield of water/earth would do.

OOC: You'll have to go a bit more in depth with these descriptions. I'm not expecting wallies that will make my eyes bleed. However, I would like to see a little detailed or less vague explanation regarding each thing you say. For example, why exactly IS the recoil a weak point? And a strong point as you stated. Which type of situation would make it so?

As for the combination, please try to add a bit more into it. That is very vague and it seems you just rushed it to finish the template. Would the opponent be jumping into you? Or is he randomly jumping and you somehow manage to hit him with it? Would you follow that attack with something else? or maybe something before it due to the recoil?

As far as the countering goes, it also lacks a bit of description and explanation. And for starters, a water shield to defend against another water-based attack? Yes its certainly possible, however not very efficient. As for the earth shield, which technique would you use exactly?

Please re-do this technique and if you have any questions feel free to ask me here or via VMs ^_^

Strong points

  • No handseal required
  • Recoil. Say the opponent had made an attack that requires you to evade it. At such situations you can use the recoil to you advantage while at the same time make a counter attack.
Weak points
  • Limited range
  • Slow. I'd better use some fast water techniques in this short range.
  • Recoil. Since this this technique is so slow, it is easier to make a counter for it. Which means, the opponent can evade it easily, leaving the user to take the damage of recoil.
Combinations-strategies : Say the opponent jumps on to you. You can simply use this technique to attack him and keep a distance from him thanks to the recoil. And since he doesn't have contact with the ground, he'd find it difficult to evade it (unless he uses some technique).

Ways to counter this technique: Basically techniques which require no handseals

(Doton No Jutsu) - Earth Release Technique
Rank: D
Type: Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Descripton: Creates small pillars of earth, small tools, and small shields of earth

(Fūton Kihon Jutsu) Wind Release Basic Technique
Type: Supplementary/Offensive/ Defensive
Rank: D-Rank
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 10
Damage: 20
Description: The user will release basic simple blasts or streams of wind from his limbs or mouth to defend or attack an enemy.

(Fūton Kihon Jutsu) Wind Release Basic Technique
Type: Supplementary/Offensive/ Defensive
Rank: D-Rank
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 10
Damage: 20
Description: The user will release basic simple blasts or streams of wind from his limbs or mouth to defend or attack an enemy.

OOC: Much better, thank you. ^_^ As for the ways to counter, although it may be fairly obvious at times, I still would like you to describe exactly how you would use the technique posted above to defend. (Ex: I would use doton no jutsu to rise a shield of earth that would block the blast of water. Or, I would swing my arm across my chest and release a blast of wind that would disperse the water orb. etc etc)

(Secchakuzai no Kouu) - Rain of Glue
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: When user makes it rain and then changes the compounds of the water(materials in the air). Then makes the rain sticky which binds the opponent in place for 2 turns.this jutsu lasts for 2 turns.
One of my favorite rain techniques on the list.

After you've successfully created a rain source, or simply are using a natural rain source (which would delay all your rain techniques because your chakra is not already within the drops) you will channel your chakra outwards into a medium range radius, or any area within medium range that you desire. You will focus on each individual rain drop within that are and shape manipulate them, changing their compounds similar to the water syrup technique. However, you will go a step further and make it more gluey. This sticky rain allows you to bind your target for a total of two turns if they don't get rid of the sticky rain. The best thing about this jutsu is that it lasts for two turns so the opponent is forced to either make a shelter, take care of the clouds, or change positions.

OOC: Why? Why? I thought I'll make this my CJ. And its already present in the canon list >_>

Hal focuses his chakra outwards on the falling raindrops as he stretches out his hands outwards. He feels each and every raindrop on his palms as he starts channeling his chakra into the raindrops. Slowly he manipulate the properties of it, to change it into gluey substance. He concentrates enough to keep a constant amount of chakra within each drop so that all the drops may have the same quality. The gluey substance with keep the opponent glued on for 2 turns.

Strong points
  • 2 turns. Non moving target. What else do you need :p
  • It actually a fast technique and the opponent wouldn't even know what happened.
Weak points
  • If the rain is sticky for the opponent, then the same would apply to the user as well. (Specially when fighting close range)
  • It does no damage actually.
Combinations-strategies: Use any jutsu that the opponent would normally counter by moving/flying away.
Ex.
(Doton: Yomi Numa) - Earth Style: Swamp of the Underworld
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user will first perform Boar → Tiger and then by changing the surface of an object beneath an enemy into mud and creating a non flammable swamp, the user can sink his enemy into the mud. The adhesive, chakra-infused mud ensnares the enemy's body, making it almost impossible to recover one's strength and escape from the swamp. The size and depth of the created swamp depends on the user's skill and the amount of chakra used, but if the user is an expert in this technique, it will always be possible to make a fair-sized swamp which is extremely effective against a great number of enemies or when having to face gigantic creatures.
(Doton: Kujo Joushou Iwa Chuuseki) - Earth Release: Destructive Rising Rock Pillars
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Mid-Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: This jutsu causes gigantic pillars of rock to forcefully emerge from the ground. This is a even greater scaled Earth Release: Rising Spikes and is large enough to impale a summoning technique.

Ways to counter this technique: Destroy the clouds >_>

Blow away the clouds using...
(Fūton: Tatsuno Ooshigoto) - Wind Style: Severing Pressure
Rank: A
Type:Attack
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:30
Damage Points:60
Description: The user sends wind into the sky to darken the clouds and make the environment stormy. These clouds will create a cutting tornado that comes down as a F-5 tornado with slicing wind.

OOC: On the positive side you don't have to waste a CJ slot to create it. (;

Keep a tip in mind when using this technique. Any rain technique manipulated throughout the gluey rain area would naturally also be gluey.

(Touei Ame Bushin) - Reflection Rain Clone
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This technique creates a reflection of the user, this clone is unable to touch physical objects or cause harm. Every move that the user makes the clone mimics at the same time. The reflection clone is destroyed after one hit, this is a tactical technique.
Pretty simple technique, by utilizing the falling rain beside you, I want you to manipulate the rain water and create a reflection of yourself just as if you were looking at a mirror minus in the reversed effect. This clone is very different than other clones. Unlike regular clones this clone will mimic your every movement.
