Fine, anyway rain is basically that, it is rain. Set with an extensive arsenal of jutsus, there are many forms of Rain release, such as acid and glue rain. Quite the funny list don't you think? Anyway, rain hails specifically from Ame, quite fitting. It is another form of water release, but in a little bit more of an advance form, AKA rain. Rain is also lowkey, OP, I mean I just need rain to make a blade appear behind yo neck? But I don't plan on using it like that at all, storm and rain combination is what made me hard as hell. The combos are endless and controlling the weather can be a huge turn on in a fight, and taking control of it with pure will and tactics. Anyway, there is not much to go on. Has same weaknesses and strengths elemental wise as water as well, but blowing rain clouds away can work as well with wind.

Anyway, I have a request, as you post the jutsus, can I just summarize them and explain them with detail? I don't wanna template or really to perform em, this is coming from a teacher to teacher, if I ever become a sensei for rain, I'd like to look back on this thread and use my explanations (if they are correct) to show my students and teach em. Also, I find it more fun. <_<

Alright so this technique is rather basic. The main purpose is simple, the user will use a pre-existing water source, and manipulate water droplets, to form a pressurized orb of water right on the palm of the user. After creating the orb, the user will simply release the orb forward sending the orb at the opponent while at the same time pushing the user back. If the orb makes contact it will easily deliver a blunt force impact and send the opponent flying/unbalanced. Nice simple technique.


(Secchakuzai no Kouu) - Rain of Glue

This is a very nice technique, the user will manipulate the water as it rains, to manipulate it into a sticky adhesive glue like substance. It's purpose is simple, to bind the opponent in place for a short duration of time, restricting the opponent's movement, leaving them open for attacks. The rain glue will continue to rain as such for 2 turns, after 2 turns it will stop. However after the opponent is bind it would take him 2 more turns for the glue to settle down and release, unless the opponent already stops it before. Counter is simple, using wind to blow the glue away would work well, but also trying to stop the rain would help, many methods for that.

Focus your rain chakra once again and create a reflection of yourself in the rain. As this 'clone' is only a reflection, it will mimic every movement of yours and it is not able to touch physical objects.

A very nice, but simple technique. As the user is within the range of rain, they will release chakra outward and use the rain as a make-shift mirror, producing an exact image of the user within the rain. All it is, is a simple reflection. The image does not play any offensive or defensive role, it can neither block techniques or send them, but it can lead to confusing the opponent in wondering how many people are on the battlefield, even confuse it for a shadow clone. I would use this in close range taijutsu battles. It is easy to disperse the image however, hell if you are able to figure it out, then ignoring it as well would be just fine. The image also remains close range of the user's initial position and from there on out, as he even moves.

One of the more deadly techniques if used, but once again quite simple. Manipulating some random rain droplets, the user can turn them into a solid blade. The blade will then fall down in a straight line, almost projectile like, aiming to slice anything- or anybody- unlucky enough to be on its trajectory. Now countering it is also quite simple, using basic armors would do just the trick.

Focus your chakra and use it to condense a large amount of rainwater into the sky. Then create a spear of water from the condensed water in the clouds. You can call it down anytime you want with the use of one handseal.

This is quite the weird technique. Now basically, as rain falls from the sky, when it makes contact with the ground it will leave off a small puddle (naturally)- however with chakra infused into the rain droplet, at the user's command they will have a small spike erect out of the puddle, now this spike is not that large, I'd say around a shuriken in size, as well as the damage it can receive. It's main usage is to pierce the footing of the opponent, probably dealing slight pain and making movement quite painful. However this technique is not a deadly one, but it can be useful in most cases. The biggest problem with the technique is, rain must continue to fall, an opponent can easily meta-game their way out so be weary of this.

By channeling chakra towards the clouds from where the rain is falling, the user will create a spear made entirely of water. Now this technique is considered a dormant technique, meaning the spear will remain up in the clouds for a certain period of time- in this case three turns- or by the user's command, he will have the spear come down from the cloud. What is great for this technique, and dormant techniques as a whole, it can be used within that duration whenever you want, making for a great surprise attack and combo's in a sense to bombard the opponent with attacks from all angles. The only warning for figuring this technique out, is as it will be commanded down, the rain will stop for a second and in such an opponent can notice this change and react.

Focus your chakra and send it towards the opponent. Your opponent of choice will seem to be attracting the raindrops because of your chakra. The rain will attack themselves all over the opponent and will then attach to the ground when there are enough raindrops gathered. This will restrict the opponent in their movement.

A really basic technique, the user will release their chakra towards the rain and aim at a specific target, after setting the target the rain drops will begin to attract at the opponent, all coming at him, after a short duration, when enough rain is gathered up, the water will attach itself to the ground and restricting the opponent in place. Now, the basic assumption is you would need to focus on the rain as they attach themselves to the opponent, but it can help in combo play, however it is nothing more then a basic restrict and attack. Simply blowing the rain away from the body with a wind technique would suffice as a proper counter.

Despite its seemingly, uselessness, it does have some purpose which can aid in battle. The user will manipulate rain drops to create these false clones, all having similar traits physically to the opponent. Rather weak, they do not attack nor are they very durable. However, using them in deceptive tactics can help really well. These clones are created short range as well but can move anywhere, in the battlefield.

By filling the clothing with water-elemental chakra the user causes the clothing to fully retain all water it comes in contact with which will gradually cause the clothing to become heavier and heavier. Unfortunately, this jutsu that does not create water, so it is only useful in a rainy or otherwise wet environment

Focus your chakra and send it towards the opponent's clothes. Then attract as much rain as possible towards them and enable their clothes to fully retain all the water it comes in contact with as a sponge. This will cause the clothes to become heavier and heavier and thus slow the opponent down.

(Ame Kumo Bunshin) - Rain Cloud Clone

However, it does have the shape and colour of yourself. These clones can attack and be attacked, however your opponent has to be very lame to be distracted by them in terms of thinking they are yourself, because.. well.. they fly..

Something similar to past jutsus. The user will utilize a rainy environment, and take control of the droplets, forcing them to attach to the opponent, however the rain will be attached to the clothing of the opponent, absorbing itself within the clothing. The rain will forcefully push the opponent down making them heavier, however to be quite honest despite its restriction, this will be the case for most water techniques and many other techs already similar. It only effects clothing as well so its easy to counter, even using a heat source to thaw your clothing and drying them up would work. It will not necessarily restrict them completely neither but just slow them down pretty badly, it can help if combined with fast paced taijutsu/kenjutsu based movement.

Well this is a generic clone technique, however the clones are made of rain clouds. They have the same physical appearance but that is all. They are light in nature, allowing them to fly and can move on their own. They can perform basic free-form attacks, what is best is how they can also take attacks so making them a shield can also work. A lot of things to work out with this is, since they are made of clouds they have a wet nature and likely to conduct lightning, use that as a good way to combo. Countering can be anything simple enough like just piercing them. Nothing too much to sweat over.

Description: User performs the necessary handseals and places their hands out in front of them. Using chakra they gather up a large amount of rain and create a wall of solid water. The water is dense and difficult to move through, thus protecting the user from most taijutsu attack and fire attacks. Earth based jutsu and Lighting jutsu are highly effective against this technique. The user must keep his hands connected into the wall at all times or the wall will return to its normal state. If struck by electricity it will move through the water and strike the user as well.

Focus your chakra and start performing the necessary handseals. Once you're done you will place your hands out in front of you, as if you are going to stop a technique with your bare hands. Whilst you do so, you will release chakra through your hands to gather a large amount of rain from the sky, from the ground, from where-ever and use it to create a wall of solid water in front of you. Due to the density of the water, one is almost unable to move through, and thus you're protected from almost all taijutsu techniques. Keep your hands connected to the water to keep channelling chakra through, otherwise it will turn back into ordinary water.

The end result is big raindrops that fall to the ground at a faster then normal rate. They aren't big or fast enough to cause any real damage, but they are quite distracting.

You have to use your chakra and send subtle waves into the clouds. Using your chakra, manipulate the rain drops so the rain drops will have a large nuclei for the water to condense on so the rain will be coming down faster then normal.

So basically, you would perform some hand seals (3-5) and release chakra into a existing rain shower. The user will take sudden control and will the rain to draw together, and form many bullet shaped rain. So think of really large rain bullets, the rain will then continue to fall at a higher speed, and begin to bombard the opponent, impaling them. There is some slowness to the technique, since they most draw together and form, which is best to figure out a counter, such as an omni-directional technique. Like many other rain techs, they fall rather fast and in a projectile form.

A larger description, but its basis is very simple. It is essentially a shield made of water, by halting, and manipulating the already existing rain, and to formulate a shield. The shield is best used against most taijutsu and some fire techniques. The worse idea possible is to use it against earth or lightning, for obvious reason. The wall can cover the body of the opponent on the front, and that is it, you will still be open on the sides and back. Other then that, it is mainly a defensive based technique, you would need to keep your hands on the shield and concentrate to continue the technique, failure to do so, means it will turn back to a puddle of water.

A really basic technique. Sending your chakra to a rain cloud, the user will release a large, condensed rain drop. The rain drop will fall to the ground at a faster rate then normal, and its mainly used to distract the opponent. So supplementary uses, countering it is almost too easy. However, adding some lightning to that water won't hurt, and as it is used as a distraction, you can attack the opponent with another technique, due to its projectile manner.

Focus your chakra, perform the necessary handseals and use your chakra on the falling raindrops to take control over them and stop them from falling. As they are stopped, they will stay still in mid-air.

(Ame Aikuchi) - Rain Dagger

The water returns to normal shortly after creation. When the dagger cuts into something the water from the dagger expands within the cut to increase the damage.

Focus your chakra and use it to gather raindrops which you mould into a dagger-like weapon. Due to infusing your chakra in the created weapon, it gives it more density so that it can be used for attacks instead of a splash of water in the face xD When you use the dagger to cut someone it automatically expands the cut with the water to increase the damage.

(Amagasa no Jutsu) - Umbrella Technique

Description: A helpful technique for staying dry in the rain. After a few short handsigns, the user can create an invisible umbrella by extending their arm over their head and holding an open palm towards the sky. This "umbrella stops all rain, but cannot stop jutsu that take a more solid form like the Rain spear technique. This technique was actually made to stop the acid rain technique and other average falling rain techniques from touching the user.

Focus your chakra while you perform the needed handseals, then extend your arm into the sky and release the chakra through your hand, this will create an umbrella which will stop the rain above you from hitting you. It does not work when the rain is somehow hardened or the likes.

Very simple technique, the user performs a set of hand seals, and releases their chakra into falling rain drops, completely stopping their downward movement. Now this has some tactical uses, such as combining the rain with another elemental attack, but it can also leave it open for an opponent to quickly destroy the suspended rain drops if not used quick enough.


(Ame Aikuchi) - Rain Dagger

Description: A simple jutsu that gathers the rain with chakra and then forms it into a dagger-like weapon. The chakra gives the water a more solid form so that it can be used for attacks. The water returns to normal shortly after creation. When the dagger cuts into something the water from the dagger expands within the cut to increase the damage.

Another simple technique, the user would manipulate their chakra into rain drops, and shape it into a dagger. This dagger can appear with a certain level of stealth, such as right behind an opponent, or on top of their head. Good ways of detecting it is trying to look at shadows, listening to water, etc. However, if you can combine this with other distracting tactics, it becomes even harder to deduce. When it makes contact with flesh and begins to cut, it expands more, further increasing damage.


(Amagasa no Jutsu) - Umbrella Technique

Description: A helpful technique for staying dry in the rain. After a few short handsigns, the user can create an invisible umbrella by extending their arm over their head and holding an open palm towards the sky. This "umbrella stops all rain, but cannot stop jutsu that take a more solid form like the Rain spear technique. This technique was actually made to stop the acid rain technique and other average falling rain techniques from touching the user.

Very simple, defensive technique that you can use to stop, light weight rain. Meaning solid rain, or heavy rain, will not work. Others is good game, and should be a notable defense in stopping most rain techniques. Simple, but effective for defense.

Description: An advance version of rain capture where the user bounces the rain into the clouds.The higher up they go the more colder they get untill they freeze and come falling down(similar to hail)in the form of a net or a dome to capture the opponent.

Focus your chakra and send it into the clouds to make the rain bounce higher before it falls to the ground. Because it is colder higher in the sky, the rain will freeze and fall down like hail. When it does, you use your chakra in the drops to create a dome or net from it to capture your opponent.

Description: An advance version of rain daggers where the user bounces the rain into the clouds.The higher up they go the more colder they get until they freeze and come falling down(similar to hail).

Focus your chakra and send it into the sky to make the rain that will fall out off the clouds bounce back further into the clouds first to freeze up. Once the rain drops are frozen, they will fall down towards the ground, hitting your opponent like large hail.

(Touketsu Ame Ittou) - Frozen Rain Blade

Description: An advance version of rain blade where the user bounces the rain into the clouds.The higher up they go the more colder they get until they freeze and come falling down(similar to hail) and unlike the original they do not turn back into rain until after 3 turns.

Basically this is exactly the same as the technique before this, the only difference is that the rain will not turn back to water, but rather stay it's frozen self for three turns.
