Strong points

  • Comes from above. Not easy to counter without sensing or some form of sensing.
  • Is very silent, as it only changes one raindrop.

Weak points

  • Can only more in a straight line.
  • Can only change one droplet per use.
Combinations-strategies
Definitely use a tech that comes from below. Like stone spikes or swamp. I could also use the water pillar tech to launch the opponent into the droplet.

Ways to counter this technique
Honestly without sensing I'm not sure. If they used it as their first move but if they used stone spikes or similar first I would use the earth armor or hardening tech so that it would counter both.

Question: Could this kill a ninja?

Rukia starts by sending her chakra into one single drop high in the sky. Once the chakra is channeled in the drop, she starts to manipulate it. The first change she makes is to condense it. This causes the raindrop to have a more solid form. The second change is made when the water drop is condensed. Condensing the droplet causes the edges to become very thin and sharp, much like the blade of a katana or knife. The lethal raindrop falls down and cuts a thin branch off a nearby tree. It continues though the branch and impacts with the ground, cracking it slightly

OOC: It's truly quite hard to avoid this technique without meta-gaming. As for the pillar thrust into the rain droplet, it might not be a good idea. You are basically launching someone uncontrollably into the air (where he can then meta-game his way out of the rain drop by using wind stream or something of the sort) the most advantageous way would be to draw his attention by other means. As for your question; By it self, no. Unless the enemy was already near death this technique does not have enough mass to have the potential to kill once it pierces into the flesh. Do to it only being a rain drop, the weight of it would not allow it to like.. pierce through someone's head or something of the sort. It is merely a psuedo way of stabbing someone with a blade although with a watery nature. Though because it can't kill it does not mean it can be fatal or dangerous.

Moving on!

(Ame Kasui no jutsu) - Rain Spike Technique
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user of this technique must place chakra into one or more raindrops. As the drops of rain hit the ground they create a small sized spike of water from puddles on the ground. For this technique to work there must be water on the ground and it must be raining.
This technique requires a bit of prep work, although nothing too major. After you've allowed it to rain for a turn or so (give or take) or it has already been raining naturally, you will look around the battlefield of a naturally created rain puddle of water. As the rain drops fall on the rain puddle, I want you to shape manipulate the source and create a small sized spike of rain water that pierces your selected target. Needless to say, the puddle needs to be close to your desired target.

Strong points

  • Could be used as a stealthy attack. The falling raindrops would hide any sound the spikes would make.
  • No handseals.

Weak points

  • Needs to of already of been raining, so there are puddles on the field.
  • Opponent needs to be standing in or next to a puddle.
  • The spikes aren't very big.
Combinations-strategies
Using the bringer of darkness so the opponent wouldn't be able to see the spikes coming.

Ways to counter this technique
Use the hardening tech, so the water want pierce. Or use the whirlwind peacock shield or whatever to blow the water away.

Rukia starts by channeling her chakra evenly between four raindrops, while they are in the air. The four raindrops land in a nearby puddle. Once the drops hit the puddle Rukia uses the chakra inside of them. With the chakra Rukia shape manipulates the drops and the water in the puddle into four long, skinny spikes of water. There emerge pointing to each cardinal point. The water spikes are condensed enough to pierce flesh.

Splendid. Now time for one of the first useful aerial assaults!

(Ame no Yari) - Rain Spear
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: By using chakra to condense a large amount of rainwater into one place, the user creates a spear of water in the clouds. The spear can at any time be called down to strike an opponent with only one hand-seal. The water will stay in the form of spear for a short amount of time (three posts). If the spear is not used by that time it will fall uselessly as rain. The only warning this technique gives is a second pause in the rain when the water is gathered and condensed.
I want you to manipulate a large volume of rain drops and gather them within a single spot, shape manipulating them into a condensed spear of rainwater. This spear is similar in size to an average sized spear used in close combat, roughly 6-5 ft. You can choose to either leave the spear hiding within the clouds or call it down upon your target immediately. However keep in mind that after a certain amount of time the focused chakra will disperse and release the condensed manipulation of the spear, causing it to turn into harmless water that falls back down.

Strong points

  • Can be made one turn and then released another.
  • Very hard to counter.

Weak points

  • Are there any weak points? Its not infinite is about the only one.
Combinations-strategies
This can be combo'd with anything. You can form the spear at the beginning of the turn then use any tech and then shoot the spear.

Ways to counter this technique
Another tech that would be hard to counter without sensing or somehow accidently countering it. The pause in rain really wouldn't help much if its shot off next turn.

Questions: Can this kill? Its says short/mid does that mean from the user? Because technically the clouds are long range away.

Rukia begins by first channeling her chakra into the clouds above. Using this chakra she gathers a massive amount of raindrops that haven't fallen. Once she has gathered the required amount of water she begins to manipulate it. First the water condenses down into a long, thin cylinder of water. After the cylinder is form Rukia shapes it further. At the head of the cylinder it sprouts outward to each side. It then grows from the middle, forming a triangle. The whole shape becomes that of a spear. Rukia then performs one hand seal. This hand seal causes the spear to plummet from the sky and land next to her.

OOC: One of the weak points would be that it requires hand seals, thus opens the possibility for your opponent to meta-game and counter attack by cornering you should you decide to keep the spear in the clouds. Oh and also, the MAIN weak point is that the entire battlefield's rain pauses for a split second, signaling the gathering of the water to be condensed. And yes, it means up to medium range away from you. So you could potentially create it above your opponent location if he is medium range away from you. Though the spear would still be bound by needing to be created in the clouds. As for the killing factor; Yes it has more potential to kill if used correctly. This one unlike the rest of the techniques you've learned have a greater mass, and it's shape allows it to pierce through targets easier. Due to it's condensed form as well as the altitude in which it is dropping from it could very well pierce through flesh.

(Ame Nottori no Jutsu) - Rain Capture Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This technique causes a target of the user's choice to "attract" raindrops. The water in the rain drops will attach themselves over an opponent. Once enough water has gathered over an enemy it will also attach to the ground, holding the user's opponent to the ground.
I want you to manipulate countless rain drops and manipulate them onto your target's body, causing them to attach themselves like glue, though not entirely so. Once enough rainwater has attached to the opponent's body, it will begin to attach itself to the ground beneath your target, successfully holding them in place.

Strong points

  • Very good for distractions or to have an easier time taking control of the fight.
  • No handseals. Able to do sneaky things with this tech.

Weak points

  • Easy to counter as the opponent would know what's happening rather quickly.
Combinations-strategies
I would combine this with a lightning tech as the water would conduct the lightning. I could also use the hyouton no jutsu to freeze the water.

Ways to counter this technique
Id use the earth armor to push away the water or Id use a whirlwind shield to blow the water away.

Question: Is this sorta like water prison?

Rukia begins this tech by channeling chakra into the raindrops. Using her chakra she causes them to attract to your clothing. This causes the raindrops to stick to you instead of rolling off of you. With each raindrop the amount of water on you grows and grows. Soon the amount of water is too much and it begins to sag due to the weight of the water. After more raindrops collect the water sage even more and the water connects to the ground. All this water weighs down your arms and makes it extremely hard to move.

I hope thats right. >_>

OOC: It is sort of like it, but not entirely. You could could say the rain drops cover the opponent's body like a layer of water that then also descends into the ground, preventing him from moving from his location. However, this does not physically restrict the target, at least not with his arms. The water merely gathers around his body until enough is built up for it to slide into the ground with the feet and bind him in place. Also, time to change up the counters and defends please! I've seen too many earthen armors or wind vortexes! (And freezing it xD)

(Ame Bunshin) - Raining Clones
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A jutsu that creates false clones of the user around drops of rain. Every clone is totally harmless and is destroyed by one hit or if they collide with the ground or the enemy. This technique is used as more of a distraction than anything.
This is basically an advanced version of the E-Ranked clone technique and a Pseudo-Version of the water clone technique. Basically allows you to create clones revolving around rain drops (made of rain) to distract your opponent. If the clone is struck, or falls against the ground/object/structure it'll collapse into a very small source of rain water.

  • Two or more is better than one.
  • Distractions, distractions, distractions!

Weak points

  • Can't cause any harm.
  • There's better clones to use.

Combinations-strategies
Use this as a distraction to flank your opponent. Or use it to draw fire away from you.

How to Counter
AoE jutsu like spikes or swamp or tornadoes.

Rukia begins by channeling her chakra into the raindrops in front of her. Using her chakra she causes the raindrops to gather up into a hapless mass of rain. Using shape manipulation she causes the rain to take shape. it first takes on a humanoid like shape. Then it seems to solidify into a human. Then Rukia causes the features to form. Once the features form Rukia sees that she has created an exact replica of herself that can move independently from herself.

Sorry, I just hate clones. Thats why. ;~;
Strong points

  • Can create two or more clones. These clones can surround all around my opponent. I could then hide among the clones.
  • No hand seals. So it would be a stealthy tech.

Weak points

  • Will not cause harm to the opponent, so its useless to use for anything other than confusing the opponent.
  • Is destroyed in one hit, no matter what hits them. Making one would be a waste.
Combinations-strategies
Will first I could use bringer of darkness then this clone tech. The opponent wouldn't see the clones being made and be confused about which one is the real me.

Ways to counter this technique
Will since these clones can't use anything the opponent won't risk saving them, so an AoE attack would be best. Like swamp or the destruction rock pillars or chidori thunderstorm.

Rukia begins by channeling her chakra into the myriad raindrops in front of her. Spreading the chakra evenly among them she begins to cause them to form into a shapeless mass of rain. Using the chakra inside of the mass of rain rain begins to form the rain to her liking. Carefully she shapes the rain by concentrating on the shape inside her mind. Following her commands the rain shapes into a humanoid like figure. Once the figure has formed she concentrates on changing it into an image of her. Holding the image of herself in her mind, rukia commands the rain to take on her features. Once done the water before her has turned in an exact copy of herself but unlike the other clones this one can move independently from her.

OOC: It's fine and sorry for the delay, I've been having a few things to deal with recently.

Another thing you could use the clones for would be for techniques that require small sources of water. If you were to create multiple clones that all dispersed into rain water you could potentially make a technique. However, like I said, it would have to require very LITTLE water. Nothing like Dragon Bullet or stuff of that big nature. It would involve simplistic things like Suiton no Jutsu.

(Gouu no Jutsu) - Heavy Rain Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A jutsu that actually uses the victim's clothing as a medium to effect him or her. By filling the clothing with water-elemental chakra the user causes the clothing to fully retain all water it comes in contact with which will gradually cause the clothing to become heavier and heavier. Unfortunately, this jutsu that does not create water, so it is only useful in a rainy or otherwise wet environment
A very unique and fun rain technique. I want you to focus your water chakra throughout my clone. This will allow you to begin and draw extra rain water towards the target's clothing, gradually causing him to get heavier and heavier. A very versatile technique to use. Please list various ways that you would use this technique against your target!

Strong points

  • No hands seals. Would make for a very nice opening or second move combo.
  • Very good tech to set up attacks or to give you an advantage.

Weak points

  • Doesn't necessarily stop an opponent from attacking.
  • Honestly not seeing a lot of weak points, its actually a very useful low rank tech.
Combinations-strategies
If the opponent has a hood or cloth head wear you could weigh it down until it covered there eyes, opening them up to an attack from below like great flame pillars.

Ways to counter this technique
Full body chakra bursts or just where the water is pooling up. If a high enough fire tech is used it could evaporate the water but it would have to be a fire tech that came from the body. One could rip their clothes off with a tech. And also you could freeze it. (#YukiOverLords)

Well I could uses this o my opponents legs to make it hard to move. Use it on their arms so forming hand seals wont be easy. I could also use it on their hood or cloth head wear to pull it down over their eyes.

After she finishes speaking, Rukia begins to channel her chakra into your clothing. Once she has channeled her chakra evenly thoughout your clothing she causes the water to gather. Usually your clothes wouldn't hold more water than it could absorb but due to the chakra infused into your clothing becomes an infinite sponge. Soon your clothes will fill with so much water that they will become heavy and then even more water will be absorbed until your clothes are so heavy that standing upright will take all the strength in your body.

Very good. Now, before we move onto B ranks I want you to perform a full battle (three jutsu) combination against my clone long range away from you. I want you to utilize at least two of the techniques you've learned so far with me. You are able to use kunais, shuriken and such as well. Pretend it's a real fight and that you have to use rain instead.

*a giant, odd-looking bird carries Pein and the gang over the training grounds. The Six leap off in unison to join their pupil down below, producing small shockwaves of rainwater upon landing. Deva, the lead Pein, seems irritated as he marches right up to him*

Your mistake was not coming to me from the start when you wanted to learn Rain release. Now i'm left picking up the pieces. Very well. I'll help you master Rain even if it kills you. My methods are straitforward: I give you sets of jutsu you'll need to perform with as much detail as possible, describing all aspects of the jutsu and the process you go through while performing it. Your targets are usually us, the Six Paths of Pein, or a summoning so showing the effect of a technique shouldn't be a problem. If something is confusing or unclear, don't hesitate to ask questions. We start from the B ranks...

First of all, use your chakra to pull down and condense a portion of the rainclouds above to form a clone of yourself from it. However, it's won't be a perfect copy. While it should have the same shape and color as you, the clone still looks like shifting clouds. Despite that, it is solid enough to take and receive attacks. How about a little match?

*sends a Pein to punch your clone when it's created*

(Ame Kumo Bunshin) - Rain Cloud Clone
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A jutsu that creates a clone from the Rain clouds in the sky. The clone resembles the user but keeps the appearance of moving clouds with only the shape and color of the user. Because of this the clouds cannot be used as a distraction. The clones are able to attack and receive attacks.

Next, perform a string of handseals and imbue the rain with your chakra. Then you should be able to gather rain in the form of several rain bullets. The increased weight of the bullets will make them fall at an faster rate and with the same force as large falling rocks. Go crush his dreams.

*points to a Pein walking happily beneath an umbrella*

(Ame Ame Tama) - Raining Rain Bullets
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user does the necessary handseals and focuses chakra into the rain, the rain draws together and forms several bullets of rain. The "bullets" fall at an accelerated rate and feel like large rocks falling from the sky.

For this one, after forming a string of handseals, simply hold your hands out in front off you and gather a large amount of rain into the form of a solid wall of water connected to your hands. Obviously it can protect you from attacks but only while your hands stay connected to the wall. As a consequence, you'll also be vulnerable to electrical attacks striking the wall. Defend yourself. Katon: Gōryūka no Jutsu!

Rank: B
Type: Offense/Supplementary
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user fires several large dragon-shaped fireballs at their opponent after performing one handseal. It is able to alter localized weather conditions to the point of making thunder clouds when shot into the air, enabling the user to perform Kirin.

(Toku no Ame) - Shield of Rain
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: User performs the necessary handseals and places their hands out in front of them. Using chakra they gather up a large amount of rain and create a wall of solid water. The water is dense and difficult to move through, thus protecting the user from most taijutsu attack and fire attacks. Earth based jutsu and Lighting jutsu are highly effective against this technique. The user must keep his hands connected into the wall at all times or the wall will return to its normal state. If struck by electricity it will move through the water and strike the user as well.

What a strange group of men, they could probably form a boy band. Rukia thinks to herself. Without much hesitation the man (men?) begin teaching her. She listens to her instruct and performs what she is told.

As instructed she begins the performance of the first jutsu. To start she sends a good amount of chakra into the clouds above her. With this chakra she rips down the blackest cpart of the clouds. Once she has them down around her she begins to shape and mold them into a more cohesive shape. After molding the clouds that take on a shape that resembles rukia, much like a clone, but unlike a clone this replica retains the cloudy look and thus seems out of place. Good thing its getting punched because it ugggggly.

After performing the first tech flawlessly, rukia moves onto the next tech and the poor sap who'll bear the weight of it (lol). Once again she sends her chakra into the sky but this time it is sent into the rain drops. Using said chakra and performing the necessary hand selas, she causes the drops of water to gather together and throw a huge surprise party for their friend bill. Just as the party is under way the huge rain drops fall from the heavens. They soon reach terminal velocity on there path towards the unsuspecting fool. They crash into him breakin all the bones in his body.

Not wasting anytime -seeing as there is a giant fireball heading towards- she quickly starts to set up the next jutsu. She first performs the required string of hand seals and thrusts her hand forward, with this motion she channels her chakra into her hand. She then has the rain draw in towards her hand. More and more rain is collected and soon a huge mass of water is formed in front of rukia. The fireball slams into the wall and with a loud hiss is extinguished into nothing.

Well done. Keep it up. Now i want you to send your chakra into the clouds and change the how the water condenses in them, making the nucleus of each droplet larger than usual. This should make the raindrops bigger and therefore fall at a faster rate but this change isn't enough to damage an enemy. It does however serve as a decent distraction. Get their attention.

(Ooki Kouu no Jutsu) - Big Rain Skill
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: By sending subtle chakra waves into the clouds, the user is able to create unusually large nuclei for the water droplets to condense on. The end result is big raindrops that fall to the ground at a faster then normal rate. They aren't big or fast enough to cause any real damage, but they are quite distracting.

Next, form these handseals and send your chakra through the surrounding rain, causing every droplet in range to stop falling and merely hang in the air. Though visually appealing, technique can have advantages in battle as well. For instance when using or dealing with other rain jutsu like this one. Ame Nottori no Jutsu!

*makes the rain fall toward you and gather on your body, eventually covering you if you let it*

(Shuushi Ame) - Stop Rain
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This technique defines the users chakra control and for tactical measures for other techniques. The user creates the necessary handseals and every rain drop stops in mid air or wherever they are

Time for an offensive technique. Simply use your chakra to gather rain into the form of a dagger-like weapon dense enough to cut like an actual blade. In addition, when the enemy is cut, the water from the dagger will expand within the wound to cause more damage. There's your target.

(Ame Aikuchi) - Rain Dagger
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: A simple jutsu that gathers the rain with chakra and then forms it into a dagger-like weapon. The chakra gives the water a more solid form so that it can be used for attacks. The water returns to normal shortly after creation. When the dagger cuts into something the water from the dagger expands within the cut to increase the damage.

After rukia hears her instructions she begins to perform the next set of jutsu. To start off she sends her chakra into the rain clouds above. Once the clouds are saturated with her chakra she uses the chakra to pull the raindrops together, one raindrop is now as big as ten. Not able to bear the load the raindrops fall to the ground. They land all around the mediating pein. Each raindrop makes a loud splashing sound and interrupts the peins concentration.

Rukia begins to notice the raindrops adhering to her clothes. Acting fast she performs the necessary hand seals and sends out a burst of chakra and divides it evenly among the raindrops. Using her chakra she causes all the raindrops to cease there falling. Each raindrop stops and hangs in mid air, like they're holding there breathe. With all the rain stopped rukia will no longer get swamped by the rain trying to stick to her clothes.

Rukia knows shes almost done with this set and so she kicks it into high gear. To start this last jutsu she sends chakra into her hand Using the chakra she draws in raindrops. Once a shapeless blob has formed she shapes the blob in the form of a very ornate dagger. With the newly formed dagger she rushes the oblivious pein. Once in range she slashes his arm and creating a minor cut. The water from the dagger itself seeps into the cut and quickly expands, turning a minior cut into a most serious wound.

Great job. Moving on, perform a few handseals and raise your arm over your head, palm up. Through chakra manipulation create an invisible umbrella above you to shield you from the rain just like a regular umbrella. It also protects against rain jutsu but not dense ones like rain spear.

(Amagasa no Jutsu) - Umbrella Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A helpful technique for staying dry in the rain. After a few short handsigns, the user can create an invisible umbrella by extending their arm over their head and holding an open palm towards the sky. This "umbrella stops all rain, but cannot stop jutsu that take a more solid form like the Rain spear technique. This technique was actually made to stop the acid rain technique and other average falling rain techniques from touching the user.

Here's something a bit different. Take control of the raindrops and make them rise high into the sky above your enemy. While raising it, shape the water into a net or dome that should freeze solid in the cold atmosphere, fall from the sky, and capture the enemy below. They need to chill out.

*points to a couple of Peins fighting out of boredom.*

(Touketsu Ame Nottori no Jutsu) - Frozen Rain Capture Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: An advance version of rain capture where the user bounces the rain into the clouds. The higher up they go the more colder they get untill they freeze and come falling down(similar to hail)in the form of a net or a dome to capture the opponent.

Now we begin the A-ranks! Like the last technique, raise rain high in the sky in the form of multiple daggers that should freeze and fall on your enemy like hail. Eliminate those traitors.

*points to a tent where some Peins are hiding out*

(Touketsu Ame Aikuchi) - Frozen Rain Dagger
Rank: A
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: An advance version of rain daggers where the user bounces the rain into the clouds. The higher up they go the more colder they get until they freeze and come falling down(similar to hail).
