That incomplete sage mode is weak against A. Jiraya's defennse would only put up a little fight. He got bannged up by pain's fists and he's suposed to be able to take a boulder to the face. seriously A's lariat is way to fast for Jiraya WE ALL saw his speed. 2nd fasttest ninja

This is a tough one, personally I would give it to Jiraiya if he started in Sage mode or if they were inside a building so that he could turn the walls into a frog's stomach that never lets people out. Only Amaterasu was able to ever burn through that and that is only because it never stops burning until whatever it touches is gone.
If he starts in Sage mode than he takes less damage from attacks and has more powerful taijutsu than normal. Also he has sealing techniques, and a bunch of awesome summons. A has shown no proclivity with ninjutsu other than lightning armor so I don't know how he would beat those summons or that frog genjutsu. And A's raiton armor does increase defense but I don't think it would be able to stand against a reat ball rasengan. Especially if Sasuke's chidori was able to pierce it.
So unless A has some secret talent for dispelling frog genjutsu and a way to deal with all of those summons then he is in for a tough battle.

if jiraiya can fight off the raikage long enough to enter sage mode, then he'll win. but the question is if he can do that. what techniques does he have that would help keep his distance from the raikage?

This is a tough one indeed i want to say ero sennin but logic makes me lean more so towards raikage due to his level of speed and strength but sometimes that's not enough. Both have huge chakra amounts and are physically powerful when in sage mode and using the raiton armour jiraiya can sense chakra in SM and use that ability to track raikage's where about's like he does against animal path but could he react quick enough to counter once raikages where about's is known im not to sure but with shima and fukasaku he has there knowledge and experience at his disposal plus combo's with them plus his own arsenal so it's very possible hard one to call for me

Honestly this is the harest fight to decide I've heard of for a while.I t all depends on a number of factors, like if Jiraiya starts in SM or not, how long the battle goes on for, and whether A has any good ninjustsu because now mostly he just does taijutsu. At first I was going to say Jiraiya would win it but now I'm not so sure.

you got a point its true pain was the one who beat Jiraiya because they where six but still to be one of the five great kages is a hard challenge i still don't know who would win it is a close call cause they are both talented and strong i thought at first Jiraiya would win but now i'm not sureyou are kidding right?
