So after watching Oonoki lift op the turtle island with his light weight rock technique and carry it with one hand. I'm starting to wonder just how big Madara's meteor actually was. Because it took everything out of Oonoki just to stop it even with Garra's sand helping.

Seems like the meteor was much more huge. But even if both, the meteor and the turtle would have a similar size, I think a stone weighs much more than an animal of similar size. Besides we don't know how much time it took until Oonoki has reduced the turtles weight. In addition, the meteor fell down, what it has certainly made โ€‹โ€‹more strenuous.

The big difference isn't in the weight or size. It's the fact that the meteor was falling and gaining speed. The turtle was lifted. There was more force behind the Meteor.

It's easier to carry a heavy object from a stand-still than it is to stop one which is equally heavy and falling towards earth.

Get me? :)

Well of course that makes a difference but I'm more concerned on the size of the meteor.

You must be registered for see images

You can see Oonoki when you look at the meteor.

You can't even see Oonoki under the Island. The Island/Turtle is much bigger.

One more image which shows the size of the Turtle...

Well he could be behind the clouds?

I guess judging from this, the Meteor was bigger. Can't tell exactly how much bigger it is. If the relay team can see it as big as it was from the ground and they are not anywhere near the battle I guess its pretty huge.

Assumptions...

Either way,the Turtle Island is huge and is big enough that people can live on it without noticing it's a turtle right away(naruto) or coming to the ends of it easily. I personally think the images I showed are more representative of the size.
The meteors don't seem all that far away, they don't seem too big here..

Well assumptions or not this is a pretty telling picture as well.

Okay, well this is telling right here. If Oonoki dust release would have destroyed the entire turtle island then I am sure it is not as big as Madara's meteor.

To be frank. The images are about as consistent as my bowel movements xd

I think the Island is probably bigger but the meteor may well be as big or bigger,I just doubt it. Remember when Naruto in KM and Bee are running through the island?-It takes them ages.

I edited my last post. Oonoki could have blown up the entire turtle island with his dust release. Why didn't he just do that with Madara's meteor if that was the case?

Same size. Oonoki could blow up meteor too but giant rocks would rain down and kill everybody.
Except when he uses that ability it always turns everything it hits to dust or nothingness. That's the description on it at least. I think they create the rocks out of thin air anyway. Look how fast Nagato created his rock against Naruto's KM. He created it instantly. I don't think the rocks come from space(it would be impossible anyway if they did). I think it stems from some form of "create all things" the SO6P had.
