I honestly think the meteor was smaller than the turtle. We did see the meteor moving at a high speed, thus taking a lot of effort to stop it. The images may be scetchy, but being able to see Oonoki's outline while under the meteor does seem to imply it was smaller than the turtle.

As for his dust tech, I think that point is irrelevant. As we all know, blowing up a meteor that is close to the earth's surface is by far the worst thing you can do. If he did try to blow it up with his dust tech, he would likely have increased the size of the disaster area and might have ended up killing more people overall.

One other thing I wanted to note is how telling the first page of chapter 515 actually is:

Its a simple process to work out the size:

1. The intel extractor and the other guy (idk who that is honestly) are seen on one of the turtle's spikes, so we know the relative size of the spikes.

2. The spikes are shown in close proximity to the turtle's head in two separate shots, giving us an idea of how the spikes compare in size to, say, the turtle's eye or pupil.

3. Based on these relative sizes, I'd say a person is about half the size of the turtle's pupil which can barely be made out in the larger image. Bottom line, I'd say that we would barely be able to make out Oonoki and co. under the turtle even if they were in view.

That basically leads to the conclusion, for me, that the meteor is not any bigger than the turtle. I think I can safely say that the meteor is either equal in size to the turtle, or smaller. In reality, I'd assume its quite a bit smaller.

Dude, it's not just the meteor... It's the acceleration power it has that made it hard to lift... If the same meteor was still on the ground, Oonoki would propably lift it single-handly as well... U_U

Most meteors are smaller than a basketball before they hit our atmosphere and then they shrink even smaller. An average meteor is smaller than a regular turtle let alone a giant turtle.
No my friend, most meteorites are originally about 1 Km in diameter, but it shrinks in the atmosphere... Sometimes it is redused to dust, and others it can break into small conterparts... Or be shrinked into a single one. Most meteors that hit the earth are either at the size of a basket ball, as you said, or the size of a palm... Some exceptionally big are even at the size of a tree... So, acording to physics, if a meteor as big as Madara's was to atain the surface of the earth, it would mean it's original size was about that of the Moon (!). And, btw, something like that would crack the earth apart...

You're all forgetting something. Oonoki was exhausted. He couldnt even use his dust release.
Doesnt matter how big the meteor was,it wouldnt be much of a problem for a full health Oonoki.
