Sasori completely destroyed Kankuro in a matter of minutes before, it just sounds unreasonable that he would now be able stand up to Sasori's level and beat him. Too little time.
Sasori has decades of fighting experience, even if you give Kankuro Sasori's parents and Sasori's body Sasori will have the same arsenal plus Iron Sand and 100's puppets, he's immune to poison and only has one weakness.
This to me, seems like a clear difference in power.

Kankuro could never beat Sasori head on if Sasori was still alive. Kankuro is tooting his own horn. The Sasori we saw vs Chiyo/Sakura was a force to be reckoned with. Kankuro will never reach that level. Sasori did a lot if stuff to modify his own body and make himself stronger while Kankuro is still fodder.

All in all, Kankuro could never beat prime Sasori. His skill is far inferior

You made a thread and have emphasized in the past that Sasori beat the 3rd Kazekage in a fair fight. Also didn't Chiyo manage to put up a good fight against Sasori even though Sasori has iron sand?

2. Kankuro is much more powerful now than he was during the beginning of Shippuden.

Not saying Kankuro is even close to Sasori's level just yet but the purpose of their encounter had two implications. One of it was to show that Kankuro improved a lot and is now a formidable opponent and leader. The other was that Kankuro is now a more skilled user of puppets compared to Sasori. This means that if both Kankuro and Sasori had the same puppets, Kankuro would win.

We don't know how that fight went or anything about it at all.. Considering Sasori used the strategy of clogging chiyo's puppets with iron sand, its possible it happened to him in the fight.. lets not forget sasori is also a very capable ninja himself, who also had himself as a puppet...


And you think kankuru made a leap from utter fodderness, to mid tier akatsuki level in some months? due to what? his own self praise and self hype? Baseless self hype when he doesn't even know what sasori is capable of? doesn't know about his 298 puppets, doesn't know anything about him really..
