Pretty sure the manga today clearly shows big mom's soul isn't in the ocean but her daughters candy df like I said. But does anyone still think she can put her own soul, the soul of a df user, in the ocean? Lmk

That was Big Mom's soul in the ocean, she made a homie out of a non-living organism just like she had almost everything else on Whole Cake Island, including a "ball of fire and a cloud".
DF users loose their strength when in contact sea water, but as shown by numerous characters, their DFs still function like normal. It doesn't completely nullify their abilities like Seastone does.
This is shown when:
1. Aokiji freezes the sea and the sea king
2. Oven boiled the sea in the previous chapter.
3. Luffy, during his fight at Arlong Park, was still able to stretch despite most of his body being underwater. Not to mention he also used
Elephant Gun against the Kraken, while underwater.
4. Robin used her giant hands while underwater.
Big Mom putting a part of her soul into the ocean, which is one of her primary DF abilities, is no different.
Unfortunately Oda draws the ocean similar to how he draws Perosperos' candy so it's easy to confuse. If you still aren't convinced, take a proper look at these photos, specifically where Big Mom is, and you can see she is on top on Perosperos' sea slug which she is using to safely ride the ocean like a raft, obviously she can't stand on the ocean herself because she will drown.
Not to mention the name of the chapter is called "A Wave Room" which is this:

If she didn’t put her soul into the ocean then where did the tital wave come from? If your gonna say someone else’s devil fruit then that doesn’t make sense that someone else’s devil fruit would work but not hers,

I don't think that was her soul; her ability is quite similar to that of Moria, she's probably using the souls she keeps on taking from the island people to bring inanimate objects to life. The hats need to start eliminating the dwellers of the island to weaken Mama and get the upper hand on her.

Devil Fruit users are not allergic to the ocean, they can touch it, they can manipulate it. The only stipulation is that you turn into a powerless hammer when you get into the water with more than your knees.
Aokiji froze the ocean, Law lifted a lake. Robin spawned giant wings outside the bubble while descending to Fishman island, Luffy used a Gear 3 technique outside of his bubble against Hody. The last two even commented how the ocean was draining their power but they were still strong enough to pull of the technique.
Big Mom however isn't even getting her little toe wet. She is safe and sound on the candy. while riding her wave.

What? Show me a scan of the candy having a Homie face in it because none of the pages I posted show anything like that and like someone else brought up, not every Homie is made from BM's soul that's why Prometheus,Zeus and Napoleon are so much stronger than other Homie. You're whole issue rests on her soul shouldn't work with the ocean well, it could have been a non DF users soul that she had absorbed.
Plus by what you're saying that means Jinbei swam through Peros candy. Is that what you think happened? The wave was absolutely water. Whether she also put a soul into Pero's candy is another issue but I don't see how you can deny the water became a homie.

See what she's standing on? And it has eyes? Ok then well if she can't stand on the ocean than she's standing on candy you can obviously see its face. Go to the two previous pages before that and look at her standing on a wave with a face (which can't be ocean or she would weaken, and fall through as she doesn't have chakra). And the candy is colored differently.

The candy does have a homie face in the new panels but that doesn't change the fact there was water being raised as well with it's own face. If that was all candy then how did Jinbei swim through it?
Idk maybe it will be made clearer cause the giant wave isn't darkened like the candy. So.. But I just wouldn't think it'd be right for the soul of a df user to use the ocean. That's so op. That's better than black beards fruit.. Like it just doesn't make sense. She could easily just splash people and win

2. Nah, BB atm is probably the most OP character in OP IMO, Yami Yami no mi nullifies devil fruits but if Tsunami is somehow a problem which I doubt it would be but if it is then he has Gura Gura no mi which he can use to make seaquakes...
3. A bit of water doesn't and shouldn't defeat a top tier DF user(post by Nuetrix supports this) also this is one of the reason why some people have said why they won't eat a DF....

It's incredible how you try to depict other people in this forum (including me) as being wrong while they're presenting you facts with manga panels. While you're discussing based on gut feeling, assumption and false information.
1) The wave is not candy
2) Both the wave and candy contain a soul
3) They're not her souls, Big Mom collects the souls of people living under her protection or takes them as punishment. So the chance that the soul of a DF user is in that wave is very unlikely.
4) Devil fruit users are still perfectly capable of manipulating water.
You're so oblivious that you didn't even recognize Big Mom in a flashback where someone else was referring to the character as Big Mom. So please let this thread end with: "pretty sure I was wrong".
