Yeah dreamworld is down right childish, but hidden abilities can make you take a second look at a lot of obsolete pokemon. Now that hidden abilities have been mentioned...
I don't like them. :|
I don't like the idea of going online and playing Pokemon on my computer instead of DS just to find (or not) a Pokemon that's not available on the DS.
I mean, I've bought a DS game, not a half-DS, half-PC one. And sure, one can say that nobody forces me to use DreamWorld, but then I'm behind folks who use it when it comes to competitive battling.
IMO DreamWorld should have never been implemented.![]()
No problem bro, love Pokemon and love discussing itThanks for the detailed input I really appreciated it. I probably should have added that I tend to stick to double battles
Let me just add that trick room DOES NOT effect gyro ballit actually doesnt effect the speed stat at all, it just makes the pokemon with the lower speed go first. So bronzong is still a wrecking ball
Ive got the cacturne with the hidden water absorb ability, it always surprises people trying to use surfbut I didnt think cacturne learned toxic spikes. I was thinking about replacing him with a stealth rock/leach seed ferrothorn, but I havent found the time to breed one.
Man, do I love my Rampardos, But rock polish on a trick room team just doesnt work, and I know you said already that. I wish I would have bread one to have learned hammer arm to be honest with you :/
I'm really considering mirror coat for my glaceon, thanks for that one
about bronzong... honestly I wouldnt mind replacing explosion at all. im still thinking about which move though. And I cant just leave him with the 5pp gyroball :/
Yeah eelektross is a mean mf, and trick room makes him competitive with the best of em'
Thanks for your critique!!! I really appreciate it.
I really hate that they gave Kyogre's and Groudon's signature ability to Non-Legendaries. That likes takes away from their legendary status. Kyogre controls the oceans and Groudon controls the terrain (hence Drizzle and Drought). How can a fat frog make it rain or a cute little Kyubi make the land dry up rivers? Come on ._.Yeah dreamworld is down right childish, but hidden abilities can make you take a second look at a lot of obsolete pokemon.
Examples:
Ninetails: drought (its a permanent sunny day)
Polytoad: Drizzle (permanent rain dance)
Seaking: Lighting rod (Electric-type moves are drawn to this Pokémon. Electric-type moves will do no damage and the Pokémon's SP ATK is raised one stage)
Dragonite: multiscale (When this Pokémon is at full HP, damage is lessened)
Slowking: regenerator (HP is restored when you switch out)
Yeah but, honestly, would you give polytoad a second glance if he didnt have drizzle lolI really hate that they gave Kyogre's and Groudon's signature ability to Non-Legendaries. Yeah, now that im thinking about my team again I'd almost like to just replace the bronzong all together, maybe cofigargus or dusknoir. theyre both tanking, ghost type, trick room users. but i like the mummy ability much better than pressureNo problem bro, love Pokemon and love discussing it
- I didn't know that, haha that's actually a fact I've learned today because when I used Gyro Ball on a poke that was paralyzed it took no damage but I just remembered paralyzation actually does affect a Pokemon's Speed stat
- Lol, I don't remember if Cacturne learns Toxic Spikes I was just saying in general. I can't remember if it can do Stealth Rock, but if it can, I think that would be a better choice because it has no way to be stopped. (unlock Toxic Spikes which can be negated by having a poison type or someone with levitate)
- Hammer Arm would have been a better choice in a Trick Room team, you're right =P
- Glaceon can learn Mirror Coat through a Heart Scale (you probably knew that already), I think breeding one with Fake Tears would be good too, but I'm sure you don't feel like IV Breeding/Training again because it is VERY time consuming lol
- IMO, I'd replace Gyro Ball with Iron Head just cause of the flinching properties and Explosion with Hypnosis but then again Hypnosis below mediocre accuracy makes it unreliable so the next best thing is confuse ray.
Actually I prefer pressure over Mummy just due to pressures beastness. It's an excellent "pressuring" ability for Low PP moves like Fire Blast especially when combined with Protect. Mummy is basically useless for Pokemon that have no Physical attacks but also it can be great for Pokemon that physical fighters. One thing I dislike about both tho is that their HP is too low and moves like Night Shade can quickly deplete them. Might I suggest this Dusknoir, I'm not familiar with Cofigarous as I have not done much research on it, sorryYeah but, honestly, would you give polytoad a second glance if he didnt have drizzle lol
and just compare polytoad's stats and movepool with kyogres. did they really take away its legendary status

bring it on.i make ev trained teams for fun<Probably the only one who knows most about pokemon here on NB than anyone else, Or one of the very few if there are.
You are right about the whole hp thing. I like to have Will-o-wisp/hex combo in my moveset, but i guess it works better for cofigargous since he is a sp attacker. Thats probably the only difference between the two; theyre both mix walls, same type, low hp, but dusknior is a physical sweeper. Mummy can be really annoying if it gets rid of a key ability. it can be awesome if it can get rid of levitate/lighting rod/rain dish/mold breaker/ect... you get it. the key is to switching cofigrigigrius in on an attacking pokemonActually I prefer pressure over Mummy just due to pressures beastness. Dusknoir
Adamant Nature
IV trained Attack, Defense, Special Defense
Will - O Wisp, Protect, Shadow Sneak, Confuse Ray
Not to sound like a douchebag, but the terms sweeper is used for Pokemon who has great speed stat as well as Attack/Special Attack. Dusk is more like a Wall if anything. I'd stick with Cressilia not only would Azelf not fit in a trick room team. It's defenses aren't that great. You are right about the whole hp thing. I have an Azelf trained and it has good coverage but its the same type as cresselia.
Now that I've really thought about it I want a hidden ability slowkingtoo bad I need like 6000 more dreamworld points to be able to get it
Dont worry about it dudeNot to sound like a douchebag, but the terms sweeper is used for Pokemon who has great speed stat as well as Attack/Special Attack. Dusk is more like a Wall if anything. Nah just stick with Cressilia and you should be fineDont worry about it dudeyeah theyre both walls, but dusknoir's 100 base physical attack and cofigrigiru's 95 base sp attack arent anything to overlook
Im sorry, not azelf. I ment to say Mesprit... a bit more usable in a trick room team, even stats across attack and def. but not as good as cresselia
bring it on.i make ev trained teams for fun![]()
Whats your favorite team to use, what are you using now?Nah just stick with Cressilia and you should be fine
Your sig is awesome! xdi might copy of reds team but then i have to go through leaf green to put into pearl to then put in black -.-"
Lol actually I had used a flashcard and I had platinum I EV and IV train/bred my Pokemon I had at least 200+. My brother and I got into an argument and he broke it. Now I don't have any lol. Idk if I'll get back into it because now there are more Poke to train and IV/EV Training is really time consuming lolWhats your favorite team to use, what are you using now?
I'm sorry to hear that :/ I remember when my best friend in elementary school broke my blue version. but this is the perfect excuse to buy the new versionLol actually I had used a flashcard and I had platinum I EV and IV train/bred my Pokemon I had at least 200+. You don't understand, I spent mornings, noons and night in my high school years playing that, it took a total of like 3 years to legitly get all those pokemon let alone IV/EV train. Too time consuming =/I'm sorry to hear that :/ I remember when my best friend in elementary school broke my blue version. but this is the perfect excuse to buy the new version![]()
