Uses only as much chakra as need.

well i thought the same way as you and almost made a theory a little while back.

Simply put, both yin and yang have both quality and quantity.

Generally yin TECHNIQUES are quality techniques, while yang are more QUANTITY techniques.

(generally shinobi can make their chakra both strong(quality) and have large chakra pools(quantity))


Madara has a large quantity of chakra, and an extremely strong chakra. Hashi has a extremly large quantity of chakra, and a strong and powerful chakra.

In Naruto, I see Yin as they stated: imagination. You can manipulate your techniques to a whole new level. Make all sorts of weapons from thin air.

Yang is vitality. It can breathe life into forms and it can enhance the user's abilities physically. I think senjutsu is a form of it (not sure if this has been stated or not in the manga, so sorry if it already has).

For non-elemental techniques like the Nara clan's shadow techniques, those employ yin release. Yang would probably use something like Wood Release, which involves a stellar physique or it will overpower the user.

If we accept this as truth then what decides about amount of chakra and power/strength of this chakra are: Powerfull chakra comming as one ingredient of Yin element responds for strength of chakra, while physical energy(most likely as Life force is in everyone) should reffer to amount of chakra.

In short: Physical energy has to balance spiritual energy to create chakra, while about strength of chakra decides powerfull chakra component of Yin element and about amount of chakra decides life force..., that what I think at least.

Let me explain about this, using Orochimaru & 4 Kages + Sasuke.
Kurama theory is a bit difficult to explain. (Unless you need to use.)
Because Kurama theory include both Minato & Naruto (all about chakra), is complex issue.

Yang = Living Body of the person/beast
Yin = The soul of person/beast
Both must be balanced at 50%

In Naruto manga, the 3rd Hokage extracted Orochimaru soul (both hands) and seal into himself and die.
Orochimaru research about how to retrieve his soul. His hands cannot do anything.
After that incident of destroying Konoha Village, and because of his immortal form, he need a container.
That was why Sasuke did not reach him in time, hence Kabuto had to use another body to do so. Next change = 3 yrs.
This means that he need a container (another human body) to be alive.
He found the so-called Sealing of the Soul, that's how he took back his soul = both hands.

In edo mode, Orochimaru use 4 of the zetsu (as container) to became all 4 Hokage.
In Bijuu mode, SO6P creation of all things, (shell or container, etc) then put part of Juubi chakra in.
SO6P using tails to difference between all 9 bijuu.

If using both SO6P sons, who is Yang or Yin.

why ? I cleary explained what components are need to create chakra.

It is simple actually life force decides how big amount of your chakra will be, and powerfull chakra decides how strong your chakra will be.

Life force fits this explanation... just Look at Nagato and Hashirama. They are pinnacle of Life force

Powerfull chakra fits this explanation, just look at Madara, Sasuke or Itachi(little stamina still able to use Sussano and other techniques)

Well, its pretty much that we are grouping together things that don't need to be spiritual energy, powerful chakra, life force, and even physical energies are all seperate and should be thought of that way.

Someone did said about Sakura and Naruto being yang and yin.
Kakashi did not fully explain on this.
Everyone born and have both yang and yin.
Kakashi would means that using yang and yin as theory and practical - wrong.
Sakura was excellent in theory, but need more training (practical).
Naruto poor in theory, but excellent in fighting skill.
So, Naruto need to study more.
Both Sakura and Naruto, yin yang were not balance.

Chakra is composed of both spiritual energies (yin) and physical energies (yang). Large chakra pools can involve having large amounts of either (or both) energies.

Anything else is fanfiction.

I'm against the idea of Yang = Quantity. That has never been flawlessly proved.

But about Yin, I could tell you that... if you know the definition of "powerful", then:

You know, if two persons with the same amount of mass in their bodies try to push the opponent, the one with most powerful mass (the one with more inertia) will push back the other's body. From POV of energy, two energies are presented. If the two energies are used to nullify the other, the most powerful will endure the most in its active state.

The Younger son didn't inherit any 'great sources of' chakra, he inherited lifeforce. But, the elder son inherited powerful chakra. This only can mean that the elder son inherited chakra with higher quality... that endure more with the same use.

This is a proof that can't be taken so lightly... there are persons out there that will purposely deny the meaning behind the word 'powerful' only because they don't like the idea of this fact to destroy anything that can put in danger the idols of their respective fanboyism (for instance, that base Naruto has larger stamina/chakra than Sasuke).

They only will understand that Sasuke's chakra is incredibly more powerful than Naruto's.

Quantity is Quantity, but my main issue is why. physical and spiritual energy has nothing to do with mass or volume of chakra. Its much simpler than you think.
