Well people say its a sin because the christian god (the bible god, dont know about others) does not allow any other idol besides himself. In my opinion the act of watching anime is not a sin because Christ said that what you watch and listen is not a sin however what you speak out actually is. Example if you listen to atheist talking about the lack of evidence of a god that itself is not a sin. However if you start saying there is no god then that is a sin.
So you can in fact watch anime but not be idolizing certain characters. Lesson to be learned. . . . Do not be a d!ckriding fanboy

Case in point Itachi and the much repeated phrase "people tend to live their lives" yariyara. Have you read some of the stuffthat is said here. Take the example of thunderthehybrid (nb member) hes out there preaching that an eternal dream (moons eye plan) is actually t the best solution to the problems this world has. These type of members are detached from reality and are in fact idolizing these characters.

Sadly from memory, religion threads always gets messy since its a sensitive topic.
I try to refrain myself from being involved in such thread since I do respect other peoples faith and I don't want to force my own faith to others as well.

There's a difference between agreeing with a character's philosophy and idolizing one. I think you're exxagerating a little there.

I think the moon's eye plan pretty much correlates with the totalitarian elite we deal with here in the real word. Whatever you interpret in anime, it usually originates from rl sources. So, 'detached from reality'? Nope.
