[Discussion] Pain and Itachi

Everyone on these threads are so repetitive. As I remember when jiraiya was fighting plain Genjustsu was suggested no special sound genjustu or any special type of genjutsu in that matter. The only reason that sound genjustu was used is because jiraiya himself not able use genjustu. Or at least a powerful one. Either way when pain was caught inside the genjustu he was helpless. And as stated by madar even the weakest genjustu can be the most deadly if use appropriately. Itachi is a genjustu master along with his mastery of both the sharingan and mangekyou sharingan, plus he is able to place powerful genjustu by pointing his finger, he's not limited to tsukiyomi. In addition he also has amaterasu and susanoo along with his two sacred items. Plus with tsukiyomi you wouldn't need to control all bodies just one and if pain is caught It's basically over because of the ability itachi has that ables him to control space and time. I'm not sayin it would be a walk in the park for itachi (6 bodies would be trouble some for anybody.) But I honestly think he could beat pain.

I've got to say that Pain's vision being linked would cause him to lose the fight. In previous Itachi Vs _______ fights we've seen how quick he is with " Da Genjutsuu ". Tsukoyomi to the brain and it's all over. Pain's fighting style is very direct and I don't think he'd be able to change it around much without opening up new flaws!

amterasu vs pains gravity, what happens in 0 gravity if amterasu was used on pain? if amterasu is still like fire, it would pretty much expand burning up the air in its area till it puts itself out...so it would be 1 big wave of fire...but this flame is retarded and works underwater...maybe that wouldnt happen, if amterasu works on pain...itachi could have this one...

first of all pain doesn't control the gravity coefficient, just uses his body as a center of gravity while pulling a victim towards him. Also amaterasu is materialized wherever the user is looking so he can touch pain at any gravity coefficient as long as pain does not outrun it.

It's hard to counter shinra tensei or chibaku tensei..even ninjutsu can't withstand it and Itachi's ultimate weapon is only susano'o which is also a ninjutsu.

lol, simply because when itachi is alive it is HIS assignment to capture the 9tails and not pain. and its for the plot, dont assume that pain is scared just because of that you fanboy.

2. Pain can push the fire that is materialized and then cannot use his jutsu for a few seconds, while Itachi can easily create more fire. .

and really, the only TRUMPH card that itachi can rely on is SUSANOO. and sadly susanoo only last for a few sec/mins depending on itachi's LOW chakra reserve.

It's Pain. Most times I say Itachi wins just because there's basically nothing you can do against tsukuyomi (even if you're not making eye contact he'll just amaterasu). But its been shown that genjutsu only affect the path they're applied to (eg frog song) and it'd only be possible to get one path at a time. Itachi definitely isn't capable of using tsukuyomi six times, so he wouldn't win that way. He also couldn't use Amaterasu six times, and plus Pain can absorb it.

If Itachi is healthy then same advantage should be given to Nagato- Give him his legs back(his health). It's only fair.U_U

Susano would last only as long as Itachi can hold it without going blind/out of chakra. Susano was broken by Raikage. Pain's attacks were no less strong. His chakra rods stops one from using their own capabilities as the victims chakra goes heywired and so does his abilities.

6 Paths vs Itachi (no sickness)...that's the versus and that's what should be debated.

Also, about the susanoo. IT was "broken" by the Raikage, but (1) it regenerated back for the next fight, so no permanent damage and (2) that susanoo was a lot weaker than Itachi's susanoo, the one that was able to stop kirin. Remember that.
