Lol no way, Oro is done.

Even if Naruto and Sasuke are gone, still plenty of kage level ninjas to keep him at bay like always.

By saying he didn't have his arms, it meant he had no access to handseals and all the techniques related to that. He didn't have his arms, and he wasn't afraid, he merely acknowledged the attack's power. At the end of the fight (if you actually read it), he expressed his discontent because he couldn't finish the battle. Why you ask? For one, he didn't have his "arms", two, his body started to reject him, forcing him into a bed-written state.

Now, for your statement regarding the Leaf, take a gander. For the majority of the fight with Hiruzen, he refused to physically involved, instead he wanted to break down his former master mentally by forcing to fight his former teachers. This means, for one, he didn't showcaze the things he could've, like Eight Branches. Had he went on the complete offensive from the beginning, Konoha would've perished.

I wasn't even going to go into the 4 Tails matter bc honestly this guys argument is kinda unrelated to the thread but thank you anyway, also absolutely true. So many factors he could've boosted to ensure that victory- his motive to torture his sensei was very clear, represented mostly by this.

But I wouldn't call his need for taunting and the possible victory a feat he should be proud of...Pride was his undoing and it cost him the invasion, just in the same way that Kabuto, Jirobo and Kidomaru's cocky and dysfunctional personalities cost them their main battles. But it DOES seems to be something he's learned from and in the future will have no personal connections to create bias.

Why are so few people getting the possibility of eternity

I'm not necessarily proposing a VS Matchup Thread here of current Oro VS Boruto level Ninja World.....This guy has transcended into BZ territory, where he can oversee generations and pick his moment til he has perfected himself and for a weak generation / awkward transition phase of appear.

He's literally done it twice before already. And the results were a successful assassination and invasion of a vulnerable Sand and a close-yet failed invasion of Konoha because of Oro's personal vendetta getting in the way.

Patience is all it takes. Don't even take into account his infinite existing summons, edo tenseis, hordes of followers and jutsu. Time is the scariest ability this resourceful snake has.

It's obvious emotional trauma was the end goal, it's what he does best right after avoiding death. He manipulates emotions to such a degree, the people who are victims of it are pretty much obsessed to a certain extent, Kimmimato worshiped him like a messiah, Kabuto showcased high amounts of involvement with him, etc.

He's literally done it before whilst the world had semi-strong Kages. It changed nothing. He waits til he has perfected himself and for a weak generation / awkward transition phase of

His life span will only be a threat if he figures out and creates something that will make him stronger, otherwise what you will have is a sannin level crazy guy who can be kept at bay by other weaker but still kage level kages and what not.

Oooops forgot about the bold, yea that could be something. I could see him edo tenseing Sasuke and Naruto without making the same mistake as Kabuto, damn you may very well be right then with that information.

Haha not even the literal shown feats, just think on the fact that during all of Shippuden, Oro had this just hidden and never needed to let the world know he had it, just so he can work on it over time to turn it into a perfect weapon. The fact that he can be nonchalantly sitting on all this kind of stuff is terrifying and makes him a v. real threat.

Edo Tensei is just one example though. Orochimaru can have Summer Projects, create a Manda II, eventually hone his skills to be accepted at Ryuuchi Cave, perfect Curse Mode, eventually finds the next Totsuka Blade (or maybe even the actual blade himself) masters every jutsu, invents new ones. He's already High Kage level if he fought using his entire arsenal and has the power of a Nation at the Sound's peak. Kage and ninja are just going to continually get weaker with peace, whilst one guy knows that the game is still going.

Mmm you do have good points there I must admit, only problem tbh with this whole thing is the fact that the villainous and evil aura that part 1 Oro had is gone, will take a lot for him to be taken serious again by readers and viewers alike.

Maybe he's less scary but i'd say that's just because arcs haven't revolved around him, and quite rightfully so. When he returned after the Kabuto fight, he immediately stated that he still was a twisted f*ck and wanted Sasuke's young body. Him having to tone that down to help the Nations destroy a Genjutsu threat that threatened his work and then to not go noticed by Sasuke or Naruto (Irregular Demigods) is to be expected.

Thanks for the read :)

I agree that a big part of the reason why he's not scary is because the arcs just didn't center around him anymore, not even in the early part 2 where he was still a prominent force was anything truly centered around him, but was rather out shadowed by the larger akatuski ( quiet ironic that he managed to outlive all of them, including the false Madara who was the big bad guy for a long time).

Np man

Also important is that Oro has been experimenting on nearly all the Bloodlines descended from Kaguya. It won't be long before he combines all those bloodlines to re-awaken Kaguya's powers. It's also highly possible and hinted through indirect means that Mitsuki is an undercover spy for Oro as he wants the bodies of Boruto and Himawari (Who are the heirs of Kaguya).

Oro has been hiding his true power for a long time. I mean he has a dimension full of his snakes. One wonders what he may pull out. Top Candidate for Final Villain at the moment.

Saw your sig in the OP section and now this is the first time I've read a Naruto topic on this site since July 2014(only go to the OP section. I've always thought Orochimaru would be the final villain was seriously bummed that he didn't take over Madara's body and acquire sage powers.

As you said, Orochimaru's character revolves around time and longevity. The more time passes, the more knowledge, abilities and tricks Orochimaru gains. He is pretty much a ticking time bomb. Oro could easily gain the abilities Kabuto acquired(which was an anti-especial eye style) and take it to new heights.

Haha, Madara only wanted a longer life so he could manipulate the next generation. Oro's ambition is literally being the last one standing.

He is still standing, outlasting all the major opponents. I have to give you that. And yes he was looking almost harmless in his latest form but those shins still came out of his lab initially. Things may not have played out the way he planned but he cannot be said to have lost much. He is immortal, had made up with Konoha enough for them to raise his kid and he has lots of time to gather all the knowledge he wanted to when he started.

nah, Oro is in check
he tries some shit the new gen will low-diff him
dude admitted 4-Tails could low-diff him and even got neg-diffed by a 3 Tomoe, come on now :l

by the time Sasuke and Naruto get old they'll still be strong and probably even more powerful + wiser
and the new gen will have developed which means that Bolt, Chocho, Salad, the new 8-Tails Jin, and even that Suna dude with the Iron Sand Gucci Jacket will all be in their Prime ready to turn that man into Snake Skin ninja sandals

sigh

Orochimaru had absolutely nothing to fear from Kyuubi Naruto. If his body were destroyed, it'd only be a minor setback due to the Curse Marks...

And... why is it that the new generation's power rapidly grows to the point that they could even stand up to part 1 Orochimaru, but Orochimaru's power remains stagnant? Do you really not see the problem there?
