So next is

- Student's RP Motives/Goals/Vision

So before we talk about your biography options and how to go about making them to fit your taste, tell me what are you goals in the RP.

What do you see yourself becoming, acquiring and what character would you like to portray?

For this I shall answers in 2 parts

First from my own perspective, instead of becoming a strong battle type character, I would want her to become a more supportive character, a dependable supportive, which more specifically, a healer. However, it doesn't mean that she will have to be weak and useless in battle.

Second, from my bio's perspective, her goal is to get significant enough in order to be able to have interaction with another person in the rp world.

So in short, my goal here is to become a significant and dependable supportive character that is strong enough to stay survive.

I like that ambition. Front what I have gathered you want a female bio which would become a medical student. Yes good. When I joined, I have goals too but new goals sprang up due to the progress of the RP. I would be surprised that you have numerous goals.

First thing to note.

You can have up to 3 bios incase you want to different feels of biography and you can actually create goals for the three of them though you need to rank up to juonin before getting a 3rd bio

Check the bio rules for confirmation

Another thing is how to combine abilities and which abilities you think you can use on which bio. This takes you to specific bio rules and combinations. Secondly you might want to check and read up on every cannon ability and character we have here to see how you get to choose. You can create a custom character based on some of the abilities and we'll just need to discussed them one by one in details.

Check the link below and I'm quite sure there would be lots of questions for me.

Yes, I do have several questions in my head right now.

First, regarding the second bio, I don't really understand why we need a second bio, does it brings any advantage in the RP?
Another question is how can we obtain Genkai/Hidden Ability/Advanced Element in the bio? Does it have any special requirements?

Second, regarding of the skills and combination.

Honestly, I'm kind of confuse but I tried to arrange something out of it.

1. My current bio is a custom bio right? Which mean that I can have either one advance ninjutsu and one mode (based on the chart) , so how do we obtain it? Do I need any special requirements for it? And does that mean this bio is not able to obtain the other category of skill?

2. As for the Genkai/Hidden Ability/Advanced Element skill, do we need to be in a specific clan or get a specific bio in order to obtain certain technique?

3. Most importantly, since I want my bio to be a medical student, any thing for me to take note in terms of skill combination?

Please forgive me if some of my questions looks silly and thanks in advance.

- The idea of a second bio or a third bio is to diversify, try new things and test new waters. Of course you can decide to stick to a single bio. I know of someone who stick to just a single bio and a single element and he did just fine. Multiple bios are especially good if you want to run more than one official battles in the Battle Arena. Of course only one of those bio can be USED in the NW.

- You can add KG/HA into a bio in two ways:
1. Cannon Bio: if the cannon bio is said to have the kg or ha or any ability at all then you can add it automatically. However you need to read up on the cannon charater in the link below to know if you need to buy that character or you can just make them freely

2. Custom Bio: You can add any KG or HA to a custom bio but you need to follow the bio combination rules I told you earlier. Custom chakra are not listed but you can create yours.

Exception abilities that are allowed to be added to both custom and cannon bios are the Universal abilities like the leg weights, Y/Y, NB Tai etc. Also can be found in the link above. You can add any of them to your bio so far you buy them.

Summary:
KG/HA some are free and some must be bought. Some come auto with a cannon character that come free or can be bought. Remember the combination rules for custom bio should you want to have a kg or HA in them. Universal abilities can be added to any of the bios without restrictions.

1. Checked your bio and it's an open one. You can have either
1 HA + 1 AN + 1 Mode

1 AE + 1 AN + 1 Mode(ex SM)

1 KG + 1AN + 1 Mode(ex EIG)

You can check it and every HA, AE and KG there is via their link. Follow the link I provided above and click on each of their name and you will be directed to their Thread. Some of them can be made freely and some requires you to be of a particular rank. Byakugan for one is an ability you can make at your level and is also a KG.

There is another possible combination. They are called Custom clan biographies .

To make a custom clan biography, meet with a clan leader and ask for permission to join their clan. Then you can make a biography for that clan.

You can have
1 CC bio + 1 Mode or 1 AN
Link to CC leaders.

Lastly, you can combine two abilities. This combinations are called dual abilities. Eg:

KG + HA
KG + AE
AE + HA

Link

2. No you don't. So far the bio you are making is a custom bio, just go for it while following their individual restrictions which can be found by clicking on them and reading up them in the link above. Only exception is if you are going the cannon route then you follow the restriction of the character itself.

3. Any bio can become a medical ninja. Even cannon bios that are not shown to have medical ninjutsu. Medical ninja is a universal ability. All universal abilities can be added to a bio, so far you already gained them either by winning, buying or through lottery.

Did I touch everything or did I leave something out?

Nothing to worry about. You are free to ask any question. It's your orientation and it's my duty to put you through.

Yes, that is clear enough, but new questions arises

To start out,

In order to learn new skills, we need to do training right? And most of it need kumi to buy it.

So, how is the kumi system works? And how we actually do a training?

1. Training

You need training but not for all fields. For basic 9 which are Basic 5 elements, Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Taijutsu, and Kenjutsu, you don't need training for them. You earn them automatically once you attain the required rank for them.
For example, an academy student like you would have

- 300 chakra/35 health
- Can learn Up to C Rank Jutsu in fields he is able to learn.
- Can learn 2 Basic Elements (choose any two elements of your choice and you know them auto up to C rank.)
- 1 Basic Ninja Skill (You auto learn Ninjutsu or Taijutsu or Genjutsu depending on your choice. Also up to C-rank)
- Can Submit up to C-Rank Custom Jutsu of the learned skills

For the automatic learned field, there are several guides already put up for easy learning of the individual jutsus in them so that you don't misuse them as a result of not being taught by a sense.
The section contains several sub sections to access the Basic 5 elements and the 4 basic Nin. Within this subsections, you'll find the Method System which is simple a training guide for each of the auto learned fields mentioned.
It comes in a format
"Method System: Ninjutsu" and so on.

For other fields apart from the ones mentioned above. Once you earn them maybe free or buying with kumi, you need to contact a Sensei who teaches that field for training to begin.
To know which sensei reaches which, check the

Once you've contacted a sensei and you are told to make a training thread. Go to
and create new thread. Link the sensei the thread and training will begin. When creating the thread you will see different tags which is use to label the thread. A [Nin] Tag is used to label an training thread that is under Ninjutsu and so on.

- No. You don't need Kumi to buy training. However there are some abilities or characters that you buy with Kumi which their abilities comes auto. However you need to contact The head of Training section, Detective L for that.

2. Kumi System

Kumi system is the currency system of our RP. You earn Kumi as money and use it to buy abilities, artifacts and special biographies. Detailed information about the Kumi system and the prices of abilities can be found here.

I think I get the point here, but let's double check if I get the right points here, please correct me if I was wrong

1. For the basic elements, I can choose 2 basic elements, which I choose fire and wind as stated in my bio, which mean that now I have automatically learned all the jutsu from rank E to C in both fire and wind elements under the method system.

2. For the ninja skill, I can choose one from either ninjutsu, taijutsu or genjutsu right? Which means if I choose ninjutsu, I will automatically learned all the jutsu from rank E to C in ninjutsu under method system.

3. Other jutsu that is not listed in the method system, will need learn from senseis from specific field through training in training ground.

That's what I understand, correct me if I was wrong, thanks in advance

Rank breakdown (Starting Rank and Rank Up methods, How rank affects Biography and progress)

Rank shows your level in the RP. When I say level, I'm not talking about the bar under your avatar. You progress through the RP by officially gaining a rank after having undergone series of mission or battle and you submit them for grading.

You start out with Academy Student Rank then you proceed. We have five ranks in all.

Academy Student
- Can be created at any time
- 300 chakra/35 health
- Up to C Rank Jutsu
- 2 Basic Element
- 1 Basic Ninja Skill
- Submit up to C-Rank Custom Jutsu of the learned skills

Genin
- Requires Completion of 4 D/C rank Missions or Battles
- 600 Chakra/75 Health
- B Rank Jutsu
- 3 Basic Elements
- 2 Basic Ninja Skill
- Submit up to B-Rank Custom Jutsu of the learned skills

Chunin
- Requires completion of any combination of 5 B/A rank Missions and/or Battles
- 1,000 Chakra/100 Health - A Rank Jutsu
- 1 Element up to S rank
- 4 Basic elements
- 4 Basic Ninja Skills
- Submit up to A-Rank Custom Jutsu of the learned skills

Jounin
- Requires completion of any combination of 6 S rank Missions and/or Battles
- 1,600 Chakra/160 Health
- 5 Elements
- S ranks and up
- Submit up to Forbidden Rank Custom Jutsu of the learned skills

Sage
- Requires completion of a Sage Mission or Purchase for 25,000 Kumi
- 2,000 Chakra/200 Health
- Custom Clan
- Learn a Third Custom Fighting Style

The chart shows you the amount of missions required to rank up and the rank of the missions. Once you are through with the mission, you link them and a moderator would come and check it and if it is valid, approve it. Once you have been approved, you can go ahead and update your bio while reflecting the new rank.

Any question?

That's quite clear enough, the question I have here is about mission. I have read through the thread about mission yesterday but still a bit wondering how to start a mission.

By how to start I mean do we just spawned our bio into the desire landmark and just do the mission straight away? Is there anything I need to pay attention when doing a mission?

Another question here is, I'm a bit confused about the traveling between landmarks, can you explain it a bit for me?

Thanks in advance

Sorry for the late reply.

Before we delve into missions I would like you to read the NW rules and guidelines. Once you understand that, we can talk about clans, how to spawn, chakra and health regeneration and mission. Generally we'll talk about how to RP.

Give a good read.

Actually You can begin RP in the NW without being in a clan. But in the process, your missions can not be used for clan progression. On the other hand, you can join a clan or make your own clan.
To join a clan, simply meet a clan member and declare your interest and if they want you, you join the clan so clan missions for the clan. You can equally start your own clan by submitting using a template in the and then wait for approval.

Once the clan is approved, you can start RP by first spawn in your chosen base landmark. You base landmark can not be anywhere already claimed by another clan. For this part of the orientation, at the end, you'll be undergoing a mission in the NW to see if you really catch and follow.

As for movement in the NW, I'll borrow Never's outline a little bit.

You can spawn anywhere that has not been claimed by a Clan, if you check the thread there is a map in the Third Spoiler tag that shows which landmarks have been claimed. The White spaces are locations that are free to be spawned in. The best place to spawn is somewhere that makes sense for your character's history or planned story arc.

Travelling between landmark to landmark is pretty simple once you get the hang of it, it seems daunting at first but it's actually a piece of cake. The thick black border lines on the map I posted in the previous post are the lines that seperate each country into the five sections we currently have open (Land of Fire, Lightning Mountains, Great Wind Desert, Badlands of Earth, Water Archipelago), anywhere else belongs to the "Ninja World" Forum. then each piece of landmark that is a number surrounded by a black line has a thread. Lets walkthrough it.

If you were to start in Landmark 51 and wanted to get to Landmark 74

You must be registered for see images

You'd have to make a post in each adjacent Landmark between there and the other, and the Travel time (Time you have to wait before posting again in each landmark) is always 45 Minutes unless you have an Artefact or ability that states you can cut travel time down by X amount of minutes. I have plotted an example route here :

You must be registered for see images

You'd have to from Landmark 51, then post in Landmark 52, Landmark 61, Landmark 63 before arriving in Landmark 74.

The same is for travelling overseas, however you have to remember that the Landmarks for the Sea are located in the "Ninja World" forum as they cannot be claimed. Another example of a route is this one, travelling from Landmark 27 to Landmark 204.

You must be registered for see images

Using the plotted route below, and waiting 45 minutes between each post one of the ways you can go is like this :

You must be registered for see images

From Landmark 27 through Landmark 25, Landmark 1, Landmark 2, before arriving in Landmark 204. Don't make the mistake of others where they skip the Ocean, you MUST go through the Ocean to get the Landmark 204 or else it will be declared as invalid travel and you'll be set back to Landmark 2.

Of course those routes aren't set in stone, you can go through any amount of landmarks to get to your destination, you just have to make sure you post in each one in a route that makes sense.

Was that Easy to Understand?

Before we go into the missions proper, do you have any questions?

Next is Missions.

So it simple. To start a mission once you have spawned, you travel to the landmark where you wish to do the mission. Don't forget to link your previous landmark in your post when traveling between landmarks. This is necessary to trace your steps and know if you have traveled correctly.
An example of linking previous landmark which you can then trace movements between landmarks can be found in the link below.

Before taking a mission, you must know how to form a story and equally write a story. At the end of this course, I'll give you storyboard elements and you'll play out a mission in this orientation thread before we take it to the actual NW threads.

Steps
- Pick a storyboard element or several elements according to how your story is playing in your mind. Storyboard elements can be found here
- Follow the template for starting a mission using storyboard elements. For example :
This post marks the beginning of my (our) mission using these storyboard elements:
-Save a large community from danger (5)
-Survive a near-death situation (5)
-Convince a criminal to confess (3)

Summary: This mission will be about saving a local village from destruction at the hands of dangerous bandits. After surviving a near-death situation while fighting the bandits, I will capture one and then convince them to confess to who ordered the attack or who their employer is.

[RP begins here]

*Note: When using Faction Missions as the mission, merely note which mission you are completing rather than the individual elements. Custom Faction missions follow the same guidelines as above, but indicate its nature as a custom faction mission, and for which faction.

To spell it out for you, it's not that complicated. Once you are through with the above template, start writing your story. Note that your story must at least 70% reflect your storyboard element, else the mission is close to a fail. What I mean is that you must swell more on your elements and not only brief through it after having done other things. It's also advisable to choose more than one elements for diversity and broad story.

Example of a mission

Also you need to check the Mission. Submission thread. You can find all completed missions here and read many. You can see the grading of all mission and you can see the numerous reasons why some fail theirs. You can learn a thing or two from the gradings and check out the mission to see what the checker was talking about.

So are you ready to try a mission here?

Yes, but before I start writing anything I want to confirm something.

1. It's not necessarily to have a fight or use a jutsu in a mission right?

2. Can I make a character/NPC for the mission?
