1. Great Toad Sage - Mount Myōboku
2. White Snake Sage -Ryūchi Cave
3. Sage king of apes -Shikkotsurin (Suren caves)

I dont understand how you are linking suren caves with shikkotsurin
And it would make more sense some type of slug SM existing since toad and snake (dragon) SM exist

I agree that their are only 3 types of Sage Mode because its supposed to be a legendary power, if every summon could get it then it would lose its uniqueness.

Also it fits with the whole Sannin thing.

It does, since they are inspired from the Tales of Gallant Jiraiya. Orochimaru had Snake Magic, Jiraiya had Toad Magic and Tsunade, Jiraiya's wife, had Slug Magic.
How obvious can that be?

In my opinion at the moment from reading the manga through3 times now take note of what kabuto says on page 12 of 579.

"Ryuchidou is a legendary place equally famous as myobokuzan and shikkotsurin!"

it's the name of this last one that im interested in.

now the translator has put underneath 'fancy wood hill and humid bone forrest.'

im guessing fancy wood hill is where all the lovely lil frogies play =]

but humid bone forrest??

what the hell lives here??

im sure that this is the only other sage village, rather than there being one for each summonable creature

in chapter 568 son goku did mention he was a sage .... also only people knowing about sage mode and attempted were jiraya, orochimaru... also the common link between them was Sarutobi hiruzen who taught them abt summons may he can do sage mode....
also during pain arc if tsunade was sage she could have used SM but she didn't and kakashi also mentioned only person alive from konoha to use SM was jiraya so IMO its at east not slug sage mode it must be apes..
