One Piece!?!?!

Ok so I have come to the conclusion that I want to start One Piece...I have a lot of catching up to do so ive decided that i should just try and jump in somewhere and just brush up on my characters via the internet.
I tried to read the first couple chapters and it was so so slow
I would like to jump in at the beginning of the current arc
What chapter and episode did the current arc start?
And if you think there is a better place for me to jump into One Piece just let me know

Go on one piece wiki and START READING. When you find something interesting watch that episode.
But i recommend that you read manga. I watched every last episode when I was a kid but now i started reading manga. It is better.
