Since u listed every minor issues why you think it's meh now,or what u don't like I too will put my cards on table.

1. Timeskip=useless for every character from developement pov. 2 years is a large amount of time to mature,I mean ffs they are like 20-21,leaving robin and franky.

2. Ace's death=useless,I for one thought this should've changed luffy to act mature but no. Just look at naruto,the dude completely changed after jiraya's death giving it a meaning.

3. Things you listed.

4. Fanservice,guess kishimoto is the only author who dropped stereotypical fanservice for male viewers,after that sexy jutsu,which I like.

5. New world=fail hyped world.

6. Repeating personalities and char. back story - nami=weakoshi
nami/vivi=rebecca.

7. Little to less true plot advancement.

It surprises me how fast people who don't like OP jump headfirst into threads like this that are located in a section dedicated to OP...you would expect to simply ignore things you don't like. Not that you're forbidden to post your opinions, however it's quite ludicrous to start agreeing with or complain about stuff that you didn't even watch/read completely.

oooooooooooooooooooooooDamn, can't believe i'm actually gonna do this to Oda. But here it goes. However, i do acknowledge there are people who like the changes, but this is my opinion. This is not a rant or a complain. Since these characters hardly relevant to why i read one piece. =D


- Ussopp = the b*tchiest person on the show now. I thought he would've became more maturish and grown up... But i guess not. Seems like he just became an advanced version of his part 1.

- Sanji = the most annoying person in the strawhats.. There is a time and place to be a perv, and put down others who do something to females.. saying the same shit over and over and over, is just freaking annoying. Just grow the f*ck up yo. I honestly thought thats why Oda had him sent to the Okama island to loose that attitude.. but neverr mind i guess.

- Nami/ Robin = Gone from a badass looking female, to someone who oda has just to please the male viewers with her body. They look like god damn prostitutes now. Next thing you know by the end, they'll be in bikinis during a fight. Zzz



These things annoy the hell out of me. I mean yes there have been some funny moments with those things.. But come the f*ck on.. how many times do I have to see Ussopp B*tch and moan in the same volume. When the things that are going to happen are inevitable.

All by all these are really minor things and are peanuts compared to the story as a whole.

1) Usopp is Usopp. Drastically changing characters is something that rarely happens. I was disappointed when he started fleeing again so easily. I don't mind him still being scared, but for someone whose dream it is to become a brave warrior of the sea, he shouldn't have fled again so easily. That was a let down for me. But outside that I still find that Usopp had one of the best timeskip evolution. Before that he was always the odd one out of the group. He was the only who didn't had any real abilities nor position. His position as sniper appeared mainly symbolic and didn't had much contents and he lack real combat abilities. Even with his kabuto slingshot, before the timeskip he had to resort to petty tricks like plastic cockroaches and fake hammers filled with air. On top of that he looked so ridiculous with his long nose and black curly hair. But after the time skip he simply looks...cool and his plant ammunition is really unique, diverse and has both supplementary, defensive as offensive properties. Most of the other Strawhats had an upgrade of their abilities, but Usopp had a complete new set.

2) Sanji is Sanji. Every Strawhat, and many other characters, have their personal habits that define who they are and probably will never change. It's what makes them who they are. That timeskip never had the purpose to rid him of his perverted nature. If you actually expected that to change, then I would say that your expectations where misplaced. The point of the timeskip was to make them ready for the New World and not to dramatically get a personality switch. Even though Sanji is a perv, behind it there's still a real moral code. He was taught to not hurt woman, it's a serious principle of his. He actually got turned into an okama for a while, but found the resolve to turn back. That in itself is a testimony of his character.

3) Nami has always been like that. She has always used her ***/sensuality as a weapon. That's not something new, she invaded Enies Lobbies with the shortest skirt in manga history. Her usage of her *** appeal probably originates from back she was still in Arlong's crew. She had to collect a 100m beri and she started when she was a little girl. She didn't had any real combat abilities, so she had to use what she did had to its fullest potential if she wanted to collect that amount of money, meaning her cunningness, intelligence and the awareness she can trick many men easily with her looks.

Something similar with Robin. She was forced to flee from when she was a kid fearing for her life. It's only after Luffy and the other Strawhats saved her from Enies Lobbies that she became 'free'. Just before the timeskip she said it, didn't she? That for the first time in her life she would become stronger for someone else's sake. Her dressing up like that is IMO a sign of her being free of her past, that she can now wear stuff she wouldn't have worn when she was still on the run.

Of course people are going to say that I'm flipping and that it's just fanservice, however I never got the feeling that Oda does much fanservice for the sake of fanservice.

IMO the OP timeskip is still by far the best and most successful timeskip.

How would you know they haven't watched one piece? Your just butthurt that some people think one piece is sub par and it hurts you inside haha. op: how can you forget luffy he's the same exact person from the start of the series it sucks when the main character doesn't get development at all.

1. Again, *****ing and moaning increased. I'm not hear to justify something that is a fact. His goal is to be braver.. instead he is still repreating the same old shitty routine he has been doing ever since he was introduced.. People get annoyed of it.

2. "sanji is sanji".. yea only problem is there is something called "Character development".... Saying "Sanji is sanji" isn't going to justify the fact he got more annoying. Preach my man. And when Captain Smoker switch swapped bodies with Tashigi, he was being more modest than them even though he undid his shirt, the angles weren't focused on wiener erupting panels every page.

And yeah I'm starting to think Oda... doesn't really know what to do with Usopp. And it's just annoying. But still, OP is awesome and I know he'll start actually putting some clothes on the females and braving up Usopp soon.

And about Sanji, those are just his morals man. Protecting girls is his thing, his personality. Unlike Usopp, he doesn't really have any ripening to go through, he's always been like that. Not to mention it gives him spice and substance, and always fixes him up for a badass entrance and rescue.

Naruto's main focus isn't fighting its the morals and the messages (its funny how people don't even get them). Hence why when people judge it from a point of view like, they are suppose to be getting action every chapter.. its weird. Its like yo Kishimoto already said his focus is the lessons.

One piece, is just a big adventure highlighting many things people do. And showing how things go on around us even though we think we are on a epic journey. I mean its not "moral" based, but more story/ adventure based.

Bleach, well none of the other 2 come close to bleach when it comes to fights.

After reading the above posts, I just want to sum up how I feel about Nami and Robin.

If the want to run around in 2 pieces all day, then more power to them. They can wear whatever they want to wear. But Oda shouldn't constantly be aiming for ass shots every other page. It can get really distracting, easily.

Like Captain Smoker/Tashigi's body swap. Her shirt was undone, but there wasn't really any tempting or over revealing panels during that time. It's all about the delivery.

EDIT: but the moments like this are actually really funny.

Naruto's main focus isn't fighting its the morals and the messages (its funny how people don't even get them). Hence why when people judge it from a point of view like, they are suppose to be getting action every chapter.. its weird. Its like yo Kishimoto already said his focus is the lessons.

One piece, is just a big adventure highlighting many things people do. And showing how things go on around us even though we think we are on a epic journey. I mean its not "moral" based, but more story/ adventure based.

Bleach, well none of the other 2 come close to bleach when it comes to fights.

And the funny thing is that you say people don't get the morals in Naruto and in your next sentence you say One Piece isn't about morals but more about adventure.

Naruto's morals are so obvious that it's like watching sesame street and you already know what is coming next and the message is often cliche.

In One Piece however the morals are packed subtly and delivered carefully while handling themes like racism, the holocaust, slavery and other touchy subjects that most people who don't read this series closely often miss (like you.)

Therefore it is indeed the biggest manga of all time and it deserves it place in manga history as the all time #1 (with all the big boobs it has to offer too)

Also Sugar isn't a kid, she is probably older than Nami and perhaps older than Robin.

Since u listed every minor issues why you think it's meh now,or what u don't like I too will put my cards on table.

1. Timeskip=useless for every character from developement pov. 2 years is a large amount of time to mature,I mean ffs they are like 20-21,leaving robin and franky.

2. Ace's death=useless,I for one thought this should've changed luffy to act mature but no. Just look at naruto,the dude completely changed after jiraya's death giving it a meaning.

4. Fanservice,guess kishimoto is the only author who dropped stereotypical fanservice for male viewers,after that sexy jutsu,which I like.

5. New world=fail hyped world.

1. Timeskip was useless in a development pov? It wasn't centered towards their development first of all, the purpose was to become stronger and to be able to survive in the new world. Their development did improve slightly but none of them were awful or bad.

2. Ace's death ALONG with the separations of the SH's made him stronger... he realized that he must become stronger than before to protect his friends and dream. He also learned that he must move and he clearly did that.

3. Nope those are all false and not even supported with factual evidence.

4. No kishi wasn't the first.
