It's not a bad thing- as they are the target audience after all but please even Oda wouldn't claim that anything about Franky is for female fanservice. Nami and Robin were not impressed with his last enhancement but it were the male crew members going ga ga over him.

How Oda handles his characters works for his audience and that's all to it. And yeah I agree his fan service is not added just for the sake of it but put in there in a clever way.That makes him a good story teller and entertainer.

Edit: Yea I do find some of his female character quirks and jokes quite stereotypical and sexist but then again I knew it was a shonnen thus targeted at male audience when I started reading it so no surprises there either. So while I can notice when it's being sexist and objectifying women I also know it's all just fun talk from male prospective. Again it works in that story line.

Yeah I like how you come in and try to join this discussion just like that, however there is a backstory that you don't know about since I don't see you a lot in this section. Vasu is a weird guy who gets a rush out of pretending to be a fan but meanwhile bashing OP as hard as he can, there is no constructed criticism whatsoever, it's all just for the fun of dragging it through the mud and telling how Naruto and Bleach and his 7 other manga are in every way superior. Actually, Ace's death did change Luffy. He realized that he can't just ignore the possibility that his friends or himself can die. Why do you think he ordered the crew to train for 2 years? Luffy may talk a big game, but his words to Shirahoshi in FI made it clear he's more mature when it comes to death.

Those are the ones that got me annoyed the most. Especially when he puts down zoro or others over a random females doesn't even know. lol. I'm pretty much used to him doing it to Robin and Nami, and plus it makes sense. But there is no reason why Sanji a logical person be acting like that with a random woman , and putting down his crewmates. And this was what i meant by overusing the pervish thing. Like Jiraiya and roshi kept it pretty mediocre.

You are a great One Piece fan dude! One Piece is not perfect, but it is really amazing and it is one of the best if not the best shounen I have ever seen/read. I love Sanji but I hated how he acted in Fishman Island with the nosebleeds and almost dying. He is supposed to be the cool, suave dude that can win over the ladies. I've seen people write that Sanji is a loser who never even got a girl because he acts like he's going to faint anytime he comes near a beautiful woman. LOL.

Sanji is so mysterious and I like how Oda lets him do his own thing such as being Mr. Prince and saving them from Crocodile and then later hopping aboard the sea train for Robin. I hope Sanji gets back to that real soon as he works best behind the shadows kind of like Itachi and IMO that is one of the reasons Oda has not shown his true face on the wanted poster.

This is not real-life. That's a perk of having OP in his own fictional world, Oda decides the social norms. If Oda says "Well, in this world, it's okay to walk around in a bikini top and a pair of jeans," then there's nothing you can do about it, you can't use real life in this kind of argument. You either move past such an irrelevant detail, or take it as a tiny blemish on an otherwise great series and move on.
