Yeah, again, what you're saying about his "portrayal" is stupid. He's been kidnapped, his mentor/father figure's life was threatened, and his crew threw themselves smack dab in danger. The past 100 chapters have been nothing but shitty situation after shitty situation for Sanji, and you're trying to invalidate him being happy at the one good thing that came out of it(from his perspective). Not only was it a good thing, but the guarantee of his crew's survival in a situation where it's easy to die.

To be honest despite Sanji talking shit about Vinsmokes if something do happen and Sanji had a chance to help them,I'm 100% sure he'd help his family despite him having one of the worst childhoods ever.
BM's crew wasn't an imminent threat though as it would have taken weeks for them to learn of it and then react to it and Zou is constantly moving.
Also if Jack couldn't destroy Zou or even the Mink nation, then short of BM coming herself her crew wouldn't have been as destructive as you're attributing to them. One Yonkou commander(who many claim is the strongest of his crew's commanders) and his group were unable to wipe out Zou. So BM would need to send more than that and let's not act like characters move with their full force from the start, she'd send a unit like the enraged army to investigate and handle it first but they'd be defeated then she'd send a commander but he'd be defeated as well(because it'd likely be Cracker since that's who she sent first in the example we have)
Plus they'd have a healthy full SH crew to help back them up and a weakened tired Luffy held well against the majority of BM's enraged army a healthy Luffy should have no problem with that division.
The only way Sanji staying on Zou would pose more of a threat to them all is if they stayed on Zou until BM herself came.

What I'm saying is that at that point in time there was no way for Sanji to know how deep in the shit he was. Kicking it off against Capone and rejecting the invitation to the wedding at that point is playing Russian roulette with 5 bullets if your up against a yonkou. Besides the threat on Zeff's life was made by the Vinsmokes. Even if Sanji didn't get hunted down by Big Mom he still wouldve double crossed his father who would've ordered the hit on Zeff.
So in the end this is still the outcome with the least amount of casualties among Sanji's friends. That was his goal all along.

Wrong, Jack DID destroy Zou and the entire Mink nation. Everyone was beaten and dying of the poison gas. If it wasn't for Chopper and Ceasar the first time and Momonosuke the second time Jack would've succeeded in doing so.

Sanji right now is being set up for some major redemption. Only thing that puzzles me is how will he handle the Vinsmokes? Really hope they don't get sympathy on behalf of Reiji. And Reiji being attacked and let go puzzling too. Was she supposed to survive or did she escape? Did Sanji just leave after hearing what he heard? Was Reiji investigating and got caught or what? How Reiji ended up in that situation is very curious imo. Great chapter for me, Luffy callin Pudding a ****in ***** was pretty funny lol
Im not buying it. Why help the strawhats reach Whole Cake island to begin with. She did give them a map. She also protected them from being discovered when she first met them. And what was this whole page about then:

Not sure why she said what she did to luffy, but at the same time, why bother telling him at all. (Also notice how she whispered all that to him, the guardsmen couldnt hear what she was saying, but surely he must know as well. Why keep it a secret from him, and if it is because she didnt want him to know that she was spilling the beans, then why is she telling luffy at all) I believe this is her plan. She plans to pit the vinsmokes against big mom so the wedding is called off. I think she also wants to force luffy into action by telling him what she did. She wants him angry against big mom and her so this wedding doesnt force sanji into a terrible situation. Also why tell Reiju the plan, isn't that a bit dumb for someone who is such a conniving ***** and a great liar. See I think she told reiju, and injured her, and let her escape, so that the "plan" would be leaked to the vinsmokes and the wedding called off. This whole time, big mom has not let off a single air about something going on behind the scenes. She in the past has been more than happy to marry her children off into a powerful alliance, I dont see why she wouldnt be following the same tactics now.
What Pudding told reiju might be true, or it might all be a fabrication to further promote conflict between big mom and the vinsmokes, but in either case, I think pudding is a triple crosser on the side of the strawhats.

First: She plans to open the tamatebako at the party. How in the world will she be able to do that if there is a huge fight going on there instead of a wedding party.
Second: If Pudding was telling the truth to Reiju, the Big Mom should know EXACTLY why luffy thinks of pudding as a friend because she told her to trick them. She would have made a comment on that about him being tricked instead of asking why he thought that.
