A lot of people where upset about the introduction of so many characters and thought they would only be relevant for this arc and maybe come back at the very end. Oda had other plans XD

I knew it would come to this eventually. With all the parent/child tension going on and Luffy slowly revealing his feelings on the subject. Whether he declines or accepts, I'm sure he's going to speak about Dragon next chapter. How he either wanted him there but he wasn't so he'll be the parent he never had, or how he valued his freedom (or something like that) of not having a parent and say no because that's too much responsibility.
I think he's going to say no though. Parallels don't get more direct than this. He's not taking after Whitebeard, he's taking after Roger who was a loner crew.
Lastly, why are people saying this would make him Yonko level? You don't need a fleet to be Yonko level as an individual... you need power within yourself first and foremost, territory, and status. Roger never had a fleet, all he had was his crew iirc. Does that make him not above Yonko level?
And they were fighting neck at neck it SEEMS... but yeah that wasn't serious haha. Still looked good on Luffys part though, can't discredit him

Fujitora is so extreme i like him even more now , the fact that he blinded himself adds depth to his character !
Ofcourse luffy will say no or something but for sure not a yes in any case .. We know one piece well by now haha.

It was really interesting chapter. In one piece there are generally two types of chapter, first type of chapters include normal chapters, which are necessary to continue flow of story and second of path breaking types, which reveal significant things.
This chapter was of first type, yet had few points which make it a bit like second type.
Few interesting points I want to leave here, include:
-Luffy was doing well against Fujitora, even if he was injured. Yet, he had absolutely no counter for Fujitora's mass destruction attack, clearly underlines the fact that Luffy needs to awaken his DF, before he can compete with Admirals.
-Luffy has gotten a massive force along with him now and I guess the way things are going, it isn't difficult to figure out that Oda wants Luffy to be next yonko.(replacement of Kaido, maybe??)
Although, I prefer Luffy to be replacement of Shanks, since Shanks is more like Luffy's senpai and Kaido is on a whole different level atm for Luffy and his team.
One thing for sure, One Piece from this point onward is going to be way lot of interesting than it was.
-If in case Luffy accepts the proposal of these guys,(which I think he will or they will simply follow him, just like posters before me implied) I will certainly rate Dressrosa arc higher than what I rated it previously. Prominent reason being it justifies the length of the arc and the background stories of all the characters and justifies the significance given to the individual development of the characters and will justify the length.
-I am expecting all these pirate groups to allies of Luffy and not the part of Straw hat crew, directly.(just like Whitebeard had pirate allies, different from his own crew)

Oh 7 commanders, adding Jembei to it we get 8 in total(i guess we all agree mermaid island is with Luffy now)
Chap was 5/5, but i guess Luffy has started to feel up the tension now, him getting out of his character and going full on Fuji was hint to it, he has realized now he'll be getting more of such trouble if he acts carelessly.
Im sure luffy will not straight away say Yes, but its gonna be 800th chapter so i guess there will be something out of normal related to it, and he will say Yes afterwards. And even if he says No, there are other reasonable people there to convince him.

Great chapter, huge story progression at this point with the allies.
About the whole Fuji thing why are people jumping in to conlusions? Over the whole fight Fuji never used hardening, g3 or G2 hits were all blocked by pure physical strength, the seriosity of the fight died when Fuji understood how pure hearted is Luffy when Luffy told him the reason behind him screaming his hits, Fujitora even said himself : "How can u be this stupid boy!? I've been trying my damndest to stick to my principles from the very start!" It really explains that Fuji is forcing himself in this fight because deep down he aswell as the citizens see Luffy as the hero who saved a country by tyrants, he even explained it later that he would like not to be blind just to see what Luffy looks like and that Fuji is sure that Luffy has got a kind face, this little scuffle wasnt really much about power levels, Fujitora is a great character, I really like him, possibly the only marine that is in my favorite characters list, he is well written.
