That was one scary face.
I will say this, Doflamingo has two things that go for him, a lot of durability and a scary smile.
In fact as far as fictional characters go (at least in stories that I can think of), his smile is only surpassed by Cal Zalbo from Agents of Shield, (now that dude always has this cheerful smile on his face even when he is chasing people around and trying to tear them to pieces and is super angry).
Edit: Yes people, I watch agents of SHIELD and am a marvel fan, don't judge me.

My over all thoughts of this chapter were that it was pretty decent.
My main issue is that it felt slow compared to the previous two chapters.
We had everyone running for dear life and Luffy and Doflamingo destroying the city in their battle, now we get this little speech from Gatz and a good amount of the chapter is just people cheering Luffy and a discussion on the weakness of Gear 4.
I felt that they could have simply jumped into Doflamingo fighting the pirates and maybe shown more of how bad the situation is with the bird cage getting closer, it simply doesn't have that sense of urgency like last chapter did.
And while seeing Sabo in action was nice, having the Burgress problem solved with one blow from Sabo once again took away from the sense of urgency, I think it would have been better to see him do it in another chapter as I felt this chapter should have focused on how little time they have left.

One thing you guys are underestimating is doffy.
Its not that luffy is weak but doffy is majorly powerful. This dude has used strings in more ways then I can even think. Using strings to fly (Still dont know how) , to repair his organs. Etc. If he can do all of that with his fruit, then I would imagine he would be hard to take down.
Another thing, Doffy isnt warlord level at all. He is Admiral level, maybe higher. Seeing as he ties with fujitora
Luffy losing his mode before the final attack was expected. Nothing bad about it. I dont actually see luffy dealing the final blow tbh. I think once birdcage releases, reinforcements will be called, and doffy will escape.

That bag around him.. Starting to make me think that 1.) all df users who die, their fruit will appear in the bag (Maybe he has a df tree in there -shrug- 2.) He has multiple dfs in there. BUT! I cant fathom, out of all DFS around (Pica, Barrier, OPE OPE!!!) He wants rubber. A guy in the middle of a crowd, protected by people. Not only that, BUT one thing i DONT want to see, is a Burgess Vs. Sabo . No. Nah. Sorry. Why? Sabo wrecked him in the tourney without trying much. Now he has fire and on the offensive.. Yeah. No.
Overall good chapter. I like it. and like somebody said, Oda has a knack for giving side characters develop and I like that

It was established earlier by Law that Doflamingo flies by using his string to hang from clouds, much like a puppet on strings.
The main weakness is that if there are no clouds Doflamingo can't fly.

From what I remember Law just states he used the clouds, doesn't go into saying how in specific... Since then I always thought he sort shot a string from one cloud to the next and then jumps / runs along them... Did he not call it "sky road" somewhere? So yeah, didn't think it was like a puppet anyways :/

I know. Things like fairness don't exist in the field of piracy. Yet Blackbeard Pirates considered the strongest in Oda's book. I thought they're confident in their powers.
Well, from the fight, he doesn't seem to need to use any hand or body motion to control the string he is hanging from, so I figure its like a puppet.
I figure that he can probably control it using his mind to maneuver himself and swing himself around.

Hmm, maybe, but just checking it hadn't actually been stated lol, I hope it gets mentioned somewhere, little unknowns like that make my brain itch for ages after I think about them, damn you Oda!

You just gotta use common sense. In the first scene of Doflamingo flying and using Sky Road, it's not a straight path. In fact, there hasn't really been an instance where Doffy's movement animated has been a completely straight path. Every time, it's like he's hopping. He latches the strings onto clouds, and keeps them attached to his body. He then pulls himself through the air. When he does, he launches himself for a while, soaring through the air. When he's about to slow down and fall again, he just pulls another time, sending himself soaring again. It's not just a mental thing, it's highly physical.

Its a tendency the author has, he rarely explains how powers work.
But from what we have read, I would say its safe to assume that Doflamingo has mental manipulation over his string, as he is able make puppets perform complex actions with only small twitches of his fingers.
Or even let it work by itself as he is able to maintain the bird cage and control various people at once and even send puppets out long distances from where he is.

The Blackbeard Pirates are nowhere near the strongest, as stated by the Gorosei, they listed:
Big Mom Pirates, Kaidou's crew, Whitebeard Pirates (no WB or Ace), Red Hair pirates all being stronger as a crew overall
Loved how people were comparing my boy Sabo to Burgess as equals like "ehrmeged Burgess has same haki as sabo they were equals on coliseum fight" and now Sabo just kicks that fat boi's head like some fodder while smiling in the process. So what now? their still equals? eh?
