And it's a matter of opinion but i thought this chapter was good because really it's what I thought it would be. There was no way Doflamingo would be beaten that easily and anyone who believed so clearly has paid no attention to this series or any Shonen Manga.

We all knew Luffy would suffer some kind of setback because of Gear 4. And when Luffy fights someone actually tuff he gets beaten down before he goes over. I see in about 5 or 6 chapters Luffy beats Doflamingo.

For gear 5th, yeah we've had just about enough of them gears, so oda need to work on base luffy, gear2nd luffy, and most on G3rd luffy. G4 is quite okay given he'd definitely overcome the repercussion.
Awakening is completely welcomed in the next 2 arc to come, certainly not now.

I really think people are underestimating the idea of Awaken. I think when Doflamingo told Luffy that his Gear 4 was powerful but it was severely messing him up and there was another path for DF users to obtain insane power that was Oda telling us that Luffy has to make his power stronger without going into further Gears.

It actually kinds reminds of Naruto using RS the first time and how it hurt his hand and he needed Sage Mode to complete it.

We'Ve had enough of gears, I pray a one shot doesn't happen after luffy regenerates, that would just be meh

By killing Luffy, he could get the fruit to regrow in place of one in his bag or whatever

I care for the manga more than I've said, really. And just because I do doesn't mean I'd just follow up the story without having a little discontempt with the story, powers, character/s, ot the plot its self (as I did with todays chapter) about optimism you stated, one can only be optimistic about what's to come. What already is is to be liked or disliked, and believe me the optimism I have for onepiece is immense. About reading op halfyour life, I've seen a guy who has been watching/reading naruto from a very early age to the time it ended, you wouldn't want to hear his opinion on it now.

It was a good fight, I admit, of cox it was, but just how much relevance does it have to the story? And luffy wasn't entirely serious about it, see what happened when he did, just partially though. Should he have used G4, we would have had a giant con headed geezer massacred.
I don't like luffy being the underdog, that's certain, that's my choice, that's what I don't like, and the fact that its getting too repititive. And guess what, one can't be all possitive on something, that's just what it means to be human, we crave for a flaw from perfection.

That opening page was awesome. I'm not sure how "canon" or realistic those are supposed to be, but I like the implication that Law and Luffy can keep up with each other while Luffy is using Gear 2 in a "friendly" way xD

The exposition on Haki is something I appreciated, I'm glad we're getting more info on the ability and its nature.

The highlight was Gatz and the others for me. It really shows Oda's attention to side characters, a major strength of the series.

inb4 leopard-coat man actually turns out to be Kaido and kills Doffy.

I'm really starting to appreciate the minor character Gatz. Always doing his job perfectly in the coloseum even when it was destroyed and now helping Luffy against his previous boss. What a hero

Luffy still has a long way to go. Even after his internal organs getting destroyed as an handicap, Luffy still can't put Doflamingo down with his strongest mode and now need citizens to protect him from the 10minutes back slash. Not sure if i like the development from now on now considering that if he can't put a weakened Doflamingo down with his strongest attacks, it would mean he'd have to develop new gears for the likes of Kaido or other monsters to be effective

Either way, i don't think those guys could do something useful, so i expect Sai and the others(who are somewhere around) to be the one buying the 10minutes time to Luffy, but they'd be slaughtered in the process, not before though giving their final encouragement to a Luffy who will end up finishing the job. After the 10minutes timelimit, it will still remain a 30minutes before the birdcage close in completely, but many people will probably start dying. It's where Zoro and co should do their job in stopping it with whatever means they intend to use

I don't like the lot of regenerating haki as well. Looks too much like chakra/ki now, especially when this gear4 requires this much amount of haki to use correctly. That means it practically force Luffy to improve his haki game from this point in time

Now Burgess.... Well i don't know, rubber seems to fit a brawler like him perfectly, but Law is down for the count now and he was just infront of him and helpless, holding the "ultimate devil fruit", yet he ignores it completely when it could be useful in the future? Could it be idiocy? Lack of knowledge? I found that hilarious though

"Are you freaking kidding me??? He jumped all the way down" I shared Koala's reaction after seeing Burgess jumping down a mountain in a second like it wasn't a big deal. I was like Wtf??? It took like 10chapters to Luffy to climb that mountain....

Sabo kicks him in the face however, but he was blindsided, so it doesn't say much. Plus Sabo is right infront of a weakened Doflamingo now and i doubt he'd be the one to defeat him, so Burgess would have to be strong enough to at least fight him meanwhile(during the 10minutes timelimit and after).

The art was good too especially the evil smile Doflamingo got in one panel or the one where he is flying like a boss through the citizens

4/5 overall. Nothing was perfect but nice set up chapter with great resolve and character development. The next chapters will sure be interesting.

Well quantity wise that left something to b desired though quality was A okay.

I know with Burgess going after Luffy when he is at death's door is cowardly but if u look at it in that he is going to kill the person supposed to be taking down Birdcage by beating Doflamingo and seems rather nonchalant about the doom that BC is, it makes u wonder does he think he cld escape it easy.

Hope we get more pages next week those cliffhangers r awesome a tool for the writer but for the reader damn they r gruesome.

Zoro and his merry man better get to hacking BC otherwise those oafs helping Luffy wobt have places to hide as civillians r in danger if close to them but BC is forcing pple to a single point(right next to DD who's hunting Luffy).

Actually all he would have to do is extend the time limit on Gear 4 and he will be fine.

He basically had Doflamingo until Gear 4 ran out, Doflamingo is a single blow away from death.
