Awesome chapter.

We've finally been introduced to Luffy's control over Haki. It's good to see he can use it to this extend, hinting that he's probably got some crazy tricks he's keeping for a stronger opponent =P

After seeing this chapter, I kinda hope that Hodi is the next Nakama O__O. Having someone evil, while being dedicated to the crew, would be awesome. He certainly wouldn't the strongest in the SH but he'd be a great addition.

I choose Hodi over Jinbei anyday.

Did you noticed that Luffy blocked Hody's kick with a haki infused arm. Instead of using a haki shield, that invisible one he choose to strenghten his arm. So why would he do that? He didn't attack with that arm afterwards he used a kick. So does it mean that Luffy doesn't have that haki aura shield ?

it was pretty good seeing how luffy uses some of his new powers i cant wait to see what oda has in store once they are out of the water and would be a bit crazy if hodi becomes nakama seeing how he hates humans and wants to kill them all and weakoshi is a princess of the mer ppl she wont do it either i think it might be jinbe but i think it might be to early in the new series

Awesome chapter Luffy is owning Hodi. Luffy has diffenetly mastered all 3 forms of Haki I wonder which one he'll be best at because I think I remember Rayleigh saying that a person that can use Haki is usually stronger at 1 more then the rest.

& Shirahoshi was great this chapter she is the best new character from this arc I'd say.

This thing what is surrounding Rayleigh. We know Ray doesn't have a DF so he couldn't have altered his abilities, yet there is something around him protecting him from the elephent.

Luffy however didn't defend himself this way but he used the same kind of haki to harden his arm to block the kick.

It's possible he's still struggling with that form of Haki. However, I think he only did this to show off (as mentioned in another post).

have you considered the fact that Silver's blocked the ramming with his palm, and then pushed it back? The only difference is that this is the first time we've seen Armaments Haki tainting the skin black, but it's irrelevant... There's no such thing as Haki shield xd

Though comparing both pictures, it's obvious Silver's Haki is stronger than Luffy's. That or an elephant rampage packs less power than a rampaging Hodi.

We will find out in a few weeks when it will be animated. But in the next panel Luffy says it's the same as Sentoumaru's Ashigara Dokkoi defence. He just pushes out his palms and luffy's punches get reflected. When Luffy fought Sandersonia he couldn't land a punch either it is all the same defence. So we'll find out sooner or later. (But there is a haki shield!)

my favorite moment this chapter was when Luffy dodged those waterdrops and when he left his facial impression in the iron shield.

Hodi and Luffy bouth against Vander **** Man, it doesnt sound chalanging at all. The guy is ugly and totaly useless his ability would work only in NBA, throwing things....
