First of all it would've been a Sasuke, Naruto, Jiraiya vs ITachi and Kisame

If ITachi and Jiraiya fought, that would've been plot holes in the story.

If ITachi fought Jiraiya he would need Mangekyou sharingan, and If ITachi used Mangekyou Sharingan, then his eye sight would've deterioated. How would he be able to fight sasuke since he already sick. He would've died fighting him, since he's in bad health.

And if Itachi and Kisame fought Jiraiya, then the whole leaf village would've had to come help or that wouldn't make since if they didn't. And the way Kisame and jiraiya fights, the whole village would easily tell theres a battle since kisame has flashy attacks, and so does Jiraiya. And what do Itachi look like fighting and killing all those people he sacraficed to protect? PLUS if itachi or Kisame killed Jiraiya, right in front of naruto Face, then NAruto would've got mad, and of course he would've turned 9 tailed fox, and that wouldve been the end of everybody.. (since Yamoto wasen't there)

Kishi had his reasons for preventing that fight, cuz that would've caused tons of plot holes in the story like.......Who would battle pain since Jiraiya was his only teacher. And How would a sick ITachi fight a kage level ninja, after he used Tsukiyomi twice? Itachi was already low on stamina by using 2 Tsukiyomi's.

jiraya lost to pain only because he was nt having any information abt his techniques and he still managed to kill his three bodies.
I would say the match between itachi n jiraya would end in a draw because jiraya ws nt having any information on ms techniques, n even itachi ws nt aware abt the sage mode. So the battle should end in a draw

Itachi may not have wanted to hurt any leaf ninjas but that didn't stop him from trying to take Naruto away if Jiraiya didn't show up. It might not of been fear of Jiraiya that caused Itachi to back off it could of been out of respect. People got to remember Jiraiya was asked to be Hokage before he turned it down to hand it over to Tsunade. No doubt Itachi is strong and the fight would have been epic, but I believe it would have ended in a draw or one of the two barely winning. as for the person who said Kisame could probably beat Jiraiya. I hate to say it, wait no I don't Jiraiya would massacre him hell Guy did and he did mostly with taijutsu.

They did finally meet jiraiya and neither one of them was shaking with fear, actually remember kisame blocking jiraiya for itachi to beat the crap out of sasuke

Anyway itachi will defeat jiraiya, and kisame also has a great chance of defeating jiraiya.

Kisame doesn't understand the dangers of nature energy, so if samehada absorbs it for him, he'd just turn himself into a frog, and then stone lol

Firstly Jiraiya can't break tsukuyomi, it can't be dispelled by forcing chakra into the victim, sasuke's tsukuyomi is much more weaker than itachi's and sasuke is better than itachi in the use of amaterasu while itachi is better in the use of tsukuyomi.
Secondly, how many times do i have to point out the fact that jiraiya needs to buy time into sage mode? and who's going to buy him time? Gamabunta? He's just a huge target for amaterasu, we saw how easily itachi dealt with nagato's summons using kunais and amaterasu so no summon can buy jiraiya time automatically jiraiya is helpless even in sage mode he'd still get owned.

I agree with this. Just because Itachi was sick and was one foot from grave at that moment,and still has the willpower to shit out chakra god for a comparable duration to that of Sasuke's [while not diseased],means that for just once he would instantly collapse doing that granted he is initially in a healthy state.

Why, Must people overpower someone because they are given the title Sannin? Oro was a Sannin too either on par with Jiraiya or little weaker. I can't say Jiraiya is stronger than Oro, because Oro was pretty bad ass, but it doesn't change the fact that Itachi beat him (Oro) with second with a regular genjutsu oh and guess what Oro is a Sannin.

Jiraya has been underrated, but than one topic opens and people are already overrating him. Do people honestly think Kisame and itachi were speaking of Jiraiya? It's funny because after they spoke of that 'He', Kisame clearly said, "Isn't his care taker the legendary Sannin" They were talking about Naruto in other words the Kyuubi, unless people are clearing stating that Jiraiya strength is on par with the Kyuubi? Nagato when he fought the 8 tails Naruto was amazed by the power of the Kyuubi. If Itachi/Kisame fought the Kyuubi it wouldn't be as easy and if they are to be defeated the other Akatsuki would have a laugh at the Uchiha and Swordman (shark).

Jiraiya would lose Kisame/Itachi VS Jiraiya. A one VS one would be debatable, but still a speculation.

Itachi VS Jiraiya

Itachi does have low stamina and chakra, but when Kisame asked Itachi why retreat was necessary for him, it raised a lot of questions clearly Kisame knowing that Itachi has used MS, thinks he can match Jiraiya at his current stage.

Itachi using MS VS Kakashi and than on Sasuke would probably lose, but Itachi having his first battle of the day IMO would win.

No one said anything about a sick itachi and it wasn't confirmed if itachi was sick at that time so i don't know where you got that from... besides anyone who thinks itachi and kisame can't beat jiraiya is just a fan boy, i respect the author of this thread since he gave some reasons as to why he thinks jiraiya is stronger than itachi but after learning the truth about itachi we can't trust those words itachi said besides we have seen jiraiya fight without holding back we know how powerful he was and we also know how powerful itachi and kisame was and from what we've seen we can determine how the fight will go and i can boldly say jiraiya can't beat itachi and kisame at the same time... it's the truth, it doesn't matter if jiraiya fans beleive it or not.
