Reading through these battles is kinda boring. There isn't enough talent. They're not that creative. It's boring. Also people keep posting while a battle is suppose to be going on, isn't there rules against that or is it expected that the people show some common since?
I'm more a visual person myself, so I believe the host of the battle should provide a picture of the battle location, something like this.
And when setting the rules up. Instead of ruling out something that might be a benefit to the opposing player (like long ranged, fire, genjutsu, etc) how about just ruling out what rank the player can or can't be. Like if your a genin and only want to battle vs a genin how about just saying.
Rules: Genin Level Entry with E & D Level moves?
I think it just rips apart a battles excitement when the host purposely picks and chooses styles that best fit his/her fighting styles. When Neji (a close ranged fighter) had to fight vs Kiddoumaru (that spider sound ninja guy) the odds were stacked against him yet he won because he used his weakness to his advantage. Be a bit more creative in that way too. Oh and another thing.
A lot of battles start off like, "Throws a kuni at you but not at you at you just at the side of you to see what your going to do." then the reply goes something like this, "Takes out a kuni and hits the knife away." and then all of a sudden, "The paper bomb that was attached to the kuni blows up." but wait the guy didn't get hit because, "Moves away really fast and runs at you at full speed."
Booooorrrrrriiiiinnnnngggg. Where's the talent? Please be more creative when your writing these battles out. At least make the battle interesting enough to want to read. Become the character you've created and fight according to that characters personality and fighting style while trying to be realistic as possible. Also since this is a ninja fight, ninja's aren't really that special without hand signs unless they're using tijutsu. Is there any rules vs that too or are people allowed to just do whatever all "mysteriously"?
