Well guess what? With the uchiha still in the picture, naruto would be dead, because a civil war in the leaf would wipe out most of clans that exist today and the remaining village would have been wiped out by any one of the great nations or even orochimaru by himself and the war would be over already. Guess what?? Uchiha's shouldn't be claiming justice for the treacheries happened to them because it's called the turn of events and then the thing that they did to others are put upon them and they can't bare it...
Uchiha's have been portrayed as the power-hungry, strong and sometimes lowly characters... And it's put upon them because of their lusty ancestors and they continue this bastard-ness but there are who actually born in that clan, had countless opportunities to become original Uchihas but they focused on being more human....
That's why they are preferred over many Uchihas...
