Sense of Sight - User can make the victim see total blackness.. or total light even, or the user can make them see things like their comrades going down, or a friend badly wounded or dead..The last thing they could possibly make you see is a fatal attack coming right at you..

Sense of Sound - The sounds that accompany genjutsu are usually either Ominous melodies .. or Loud sounds that hurt the ears, (Frog song, Tayuya's flute)

Sense of Smell -Uhh I suppose a genjutsu could fluctuate your sense of smell into smelling something bad , or something rather delightful usually tricking the opponent into becoming calm ..priming them for a trap

Sense of Touch - The user could make the victim feel an abundant of things, Most common is the Physical feel of pain, some genjutsu's rely on putting the image of the victim being tortured and having them feel the pain, or even giving a fatal blow and simulating that as well, they could even force the victim to feel an imaginary object ( as my man noni said) like a chain or rope .. or a sword sticking through them

Sense of Taste -I may have to go with what Noni said .. This could be used to trick the user into eating something deadly like a shurikan or Explosive tag, by making it taste like cake or meat, This is rather a bad way to use it however because most shinobi know not to eat during a full scale battle .

Sense of Sight - When the User eyes get totally blinded by Darkness or Light, it can be obvious that it is a Genjutsu. The user may see several out of the world things or some gore things which can cause severe trauma for the user.

Sense of Sound - There might be stupid noise which we hate in Genjutsu. Such as screeching of something, a flute playing or something annoying.

Sense of Smell - There are several smells in the world, from fragrance to stupid smelly stinky garbage trash. The user may also smell several dead bodies even though they aren't there in that world.

Sense of Touch - Genjutsu places a opponent in several types of touch senses. Such as a Snake swirling around them. Feeling Physical pain even though it is a Mental one.

Sense of Taste - I would go with what Noni guy said. If the user has mistaken a poison for a food/drink and drank it. The user would die after a few turns.

Basic but sufficient analysis. Noticing these things is essential in breaking Genjutsus. 95% of the time, you'll be capable of realizing a technique through the senses it doesn't affect/alter.

( Genjutsu: Jigoku Gouka ) - Illusion Technique: Hell Fire
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion where the opponent sees a huge ball of fire descending from the sky and enveloping its target.

The above technique is a great example of this. This technique is fairly basic one and so only affects the sense of sight. If you were trying to realize this technique you could simply wonder, why isn't the temperature of the air around me rising as it approaches ? Why do no burning sounds accompany the descending fire ball ? Yeah, you get the idea.

For your task, I want you to each get 2 separate techniques from the canon list (different ones from each other) and explain how you would realize them by using the senses in which they don't affect. Remember, this won't work for all techniques, so choose wisely.

After this, we'll move onto a new category of our training. I feel like we've done Genjutsu to death xD

Yes we have done much for genjutsu XD, next thing we should do is Logistics of a battle.
________________________
( Magen: Jubaku Satsu ) - Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes five handseals, and appears to dissolve into a mist. Once they stealthily approach the target and get within short-range, the opponent feels completely immobilized, and believes they have been bound by a fast-growing tree and are unable to move. The user then appears as if they emerge from the tree to attack the target. In reality, the target is immobilized, allowing the user to strike or interrogate them.
This one is fairly easy it effects the users sight and very easy to realize its a genjutsu. So its supposed to make me think I'm bind by a tree. First I would try to listen to the growing tree, would I hear the tree grow and crack while doing so? No I wouldn't so that is obvious. That but also its not possible in Nature for trees to grow that fast unless of course your a wood user, then its obvious I would have to use my senses so I would rely on my hearing.
( Kori Shinchū no Jutsu ) - Sly Mind Affect Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion on the opponent that makes them believe they are travelling in a straight line, when instead they are moving in circles. This is only effective on moving opponents. If the opponent travels in the circle for hours, they will be exhausted.

I would rely on my sight. While walking I would try to look at the geographical features, I would probably see the same tree many times or rock. So that is how I would decipher this genjutsu with my sense of sight.

Alright Thank god were leaving genjutsu

( Genjutsu: Kasumi no Jutsu ) - Illusion Technique: Mist Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user creates an illusionary clone that charges towards the enemy, jumps, then explodes in a cloud of cherry blossom petals which results in confusing the opponent and obscuring their vision, leaving them open for attack.

This is a jutsu meant to dazzle the eyes and distract the opponent with an eye grabbing display so its supposed to screw with your sight .. however i would use my sense of touch .. i would concentrate and try and see if i can feel any of the petals that are falling,

( Kasumi Jūsha no Jutsu ) - Mist Servant Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This illusion creates numerous illusionary clones of the user that appear to emerge from the ground, trees, rocks, etc. If these clones are attacked, they appear to multiply. The user can co-ordinate his attacks with the clones to make it appear as if they are real.

This one attacks the sense of sight .. however a way i could tell if this was a genjutsu or not was if i were wearing specific cologne or body fragrance i would check to see if they smell the same .. if i were not wearing anything i would simply reach out and try and touch one .. if its a genjutsu my hand would phase through them

( Magen: Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu ) - Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10 (+5 if you use it double)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion over an area that allows him to manipulate the way an area looks to fool an opponent. He can only change the way the terrain looks, and not any other feature.

This one is quite easy. Only the Sense of Sight gets disrupted and nothing else. Suppose, the terrain is Grass and the whole area suddenly turned into Sand. It would be obvious it is a Genjutsu.

When the Clone explodes into Cloud of Cherry Blossoms, it seems very unusual since Humans are not made out of Cherry Blossoms xD. When the Cherry Blossoms start to fall on us. It affects the Sight anyway, however when the Petals touch us, we cannot feel the presence of it which means the Person is under a Genjutsu.

Good thing we are leaving Genjutsu. Phew!

Seems like you all disliked Genjutsu, you sure you don't want to stick with it a bit longer ? xD

The original plan was for me to wait until the end of my Sensei test to continue this, but I don't want to keep you waiting too long. Instead, we're going to move onto making custom techniques. Everyone ok with that ?

Hmm, where to begin. I'll assume you know what custom jutsus are, but I'll go over it just in case.

Custom techniques are your own ideas and creations put in the proper format that all canon techniques follow. Once made, you submit up to three techniques in the "Custom Jutsu Submission Thread" and await a mod's verdict on your techniques. If they're approved, you'll be able to use the techniques in official fights and they will be recognized as an actual part of your arsenal. There's a CJ cycle every week and each new cycle is begun with the posting of a 'marker' by a mod, letting you know the new cycle has begun. Sometimes CJ cycles last/take longer than a week to complete, so don't post a new batch of techniques if a new marker hasn't been posted.

With the addition of the new rules, CJs can only be traded/given to six other people, meaning you should distribute your techniques wisely. That being said, people usually trade eachother for techniques, allowing the other person to use your jutsu in exchange for the use of their's.

However, you don't want to know all that. You want to know how to make good jutsus which approved time and time again. The rp has been running since 2008, meaning about four years of consistent custom jutsu submission. This often translates to people getting their techniques declined on the basis of "Similar to existing techniques". Before I continue, I'll list the top 5 reasons why people's techniques get declined

1) Not original enough. Similar to existing techniques
2) Obscurity. The technique itself is not clear enough or some parts are undefined, leading to potential abuse.
3) Poor reasoning or a flawed concept. You need clear reasons why/how your techniques work
4) Being overpowered. Self-explanatory really, your technique is too powerful for the Narutoverse to handle xD
5) Incorrect template or necessary links missing. Make sure each of your techniques follows the template exactly and that any required links (e.g. links to KG training to prove you know the ability).

Looking at that list, you can easily control 2, 3, 4 and 5. The real problem with most submissions is that they lack in the originality category, so that's what I'm here to help you with.

With years of ongoing submissions, its safe to say techniques which create basic shapes/constructs of any of the basic 5 elements has been done. That means no birds of fire, dragons of water, wings of air, swords of earth and etc.

I've found that having a underused KG/Ability is probably the most efficient method for getting your custom techniques approved. Almost by default, your techniques can't be declined for the grounds of being too similar to other jutsus since your field is too unexplored.

Common examples of underused abilities are:
Scorch Release
Storm Release
Steel Release
Blast Release
Magnetism Release
Ink Release
Quicklime Release
Konan's Paper Ninjutsu
Kakuzu's Dark threads
2nd Mizukage's Oily Water
Iron Sand and Gold Sand (to an extent)
and many more

Overused abilities:
Ice Release
Wood Release
Dark Release

I want to know any bios you had/have, that in your opinion have unique abilities with considerable custom jutsu potential. I also want to know any bios you plan/wish to have in the future that contain unique abilities. Explain to me, why you had them and how you used/wish to use them.

Currently I have a One Tomoe Sharingan for my custom Killua Uchiha bio. I no longer need Uchiha since I am gaining the abilities of an Uchiha in the custom clan - Mandalore. I also wish to gain Storm Release after I master Water and Lightning. I will create customs such that similiar to Lightning but the execution may be different. Like creating storm indirectly behind the opponent without him noticing it. Then I will use the storm to pierce it through the Opponent's heart.

What is Quicklime?

To zexion... dont worry to ask question its your job as the student ;) check out this link it has all the KKG and also hidden abilities and characters.

Well I have quite the long list of Ideas when it comes to customs. Even for elemental CJs I have a large list of rough drafts and ideas I have created. If you want I will be more then happy to show them to you guy ^^

The bio I have is a Storm release bio, It has massive potential for CJs mainly looking around there are not much people who have even made Storm CJs so its unlikely for me to get my CJ Idea declined when it comes to similar techinques existing because frankly not much exist for Storm in the first place.
This and also Storm has high possibilities and lets you imagine so many awesome Ideas. First of all Storm has two known forms Laser beams and making thick black storm clouds, giving you endless possibilities on what form your CJ can make and what purpose it can create.
Also I like storm it is very unique and powerful in its own way, its creative and if used correctly can be a bio of awesome abilities and purpose.

When it comes to what else I want in my bio well you can say I like to have only one bio, so in my single bio I have a personal list I want to complete firstly I like Sound release because I have already thought of some ideas and of course not much people have sound release and it gives me room to create great CJs. Also I would like snake SM but I don't know if I can make any CJ with it.

Well currently i have no special abilities and KKG, however one that i would like to acquire that i noticed when going through the list is the Rain Release ability, i have always liked the hidden rain village, and i love the rain. Since Dark release is too crowded ATM and most likely always will be ..I'd be happy to go with rain release. I really do not plan on making any more bio's i simply want to become revered with this one U_U

As for CJ, given the time my mind could come up with and endless possibility for customs, especially seeing as i have never seen anyone with this ability yet

Making bio/ability exclusive techniques will only take you so far. Sure it will establish you as a notable user of a particular style but you'll be disadvantaged in more ways than one e.g. alienated from most CJ trades, outmatched when someone posses a superior ability to yours.

The second way of getting quality CJs approved is making customs of the basic five's variants. Some elements (e.g. Water and Fire) will have more variations than others (e.g. Lightning and Wind). List all of the variants in the template below and explain each one in your own words.

Fire -

Water -

Earth -

Wind -

Lightning -

Fire- Aight so when it comes to fire there are from my knowledge 3 basic forms or alternative releases.

The first is ash, now ash is quite versatile. It produces a certain mist type form, but its much thicker and can cause third degree burns. The thickness of the mist can severely harm the users vision and inhaling the ash would not be the most smartest thing to do, so it can produce internal damage as well as external. The ash is lastly highly explosive, as shown in the manga a simple click of the teeth while releasing the ash can cause a wide scale explosion, mixing it with fire would just cause an even larger explosion.

The second form we have seen is hot debris or mud. When fire is released towards the ground it begins to mix with the ground and gather debris in itself. This is actually a more slow way of moving but is highly destructive and very hard to counter. It can not only produce a blunt impact that can push the opponent back while burning them. This can also affect the terrain afterwards melting the very ground preventing from using most earth jutsus due to the destruction it can leave off. We have also seen mud get super heated by fire, almost like a pseudo-lava. Once again it is quite slow but is destructive and due to the stickiness of mud it will attach to the user and continue to burn him while adding weight on to his body as well restricting his movement. Some fire attacks appear like this only when combined with earth, so this can be considered a combo but only if you use another earth jutsu in combo, if you use plain ground non-chakra infused then it would be considered a alternative form of fire. Ex. (Katon: Keshi Makuga Hara) - Fire Release: Exploding Flame Crater.

The third and final form is very similar to ash. Its flammable gas, it can cause a large scale explosion when exposed with fire to ignite it. Other abilities is how it can harm an opponents internal organs when inhaling it and some gases can be thicker then others. So it can harm an opponents vision and depending on its thickness can even burn on contact or irritate the skin.

Water- In water there are 3 alternative forms.

One form would be considered sticky water, probably the form that is best for making CJs for water release. Now sticky water is quite straightforward and its abilities sound exactly how it sounds and that is, the water is very sticky. It can restrict the movements of an opponent when thrown on them, it can even enter the pores of harden materials and break it apart. It can also attach materials on to one another. This form is more of less a supplementary form, meaning it does not have a high range of offense but its meant to supplement your attack by stopping an opponents movements or jutsus.

The second alternative form is oily water. This type of form is actually hard to make CJs as there is a CE for this form so its limited to how you can use. Basically you would not be able to use it as a singular element to do offense or defense. But this form would require it to be shapeless. Now with that being said, its is highly flammable and can be ignited with friction that can cause a spark or a fire source which can ignite the oil. After ignition it will result in a large scale fire attack.

The last one is mist, mist has very little destructive abilities but can be used to mask an your presence. I have though seen how you can shape manipulate a mist and even sharpen it but only through CJs, so that gives a destructive ability for mist which helps on making CJ.

Earth- So from my knowledge there is one alternative form to earth release but that makes up how versatile it is.

That one form would be mud. Mud is very thick and heavy. It can be used for many things like crush the opponent from below or even make it to restrict an opponents movement by creating a mud swamp under them. Mud can also create projectiles attacks, walls, and streaming attacks. With that being said, you can combine mud with fire to create a super heated fire. With that being said, this mud form can appear from anywhere including from the users body and from a earth source. It can even mix with water to create a very light mud which forces the opponent to sink faster while still be restricted from movement.

Wind- Alright so wind has one alternative form.

That for is considered dust, when wind is released along the ground itself it will begin to gather dust as well. The wind itself can have a blunt force impact or even a slicing attack, but mixed with dust will hinder the opponents vision and when there is a large scale of dust it can even bury an opponent making them heavier harming their movements. I always wanted to make a wind jutsu where the dust particles would be sharpened along with the wind to deliver cuts. With that being said it is as fluid as the wind jutsu that acts as a base for the dusts travel.

Lightning- Now lightning is quite confusing when it comes to form. There are 2 alternative forms.

The first is considered a plasma, but making this would be considered impossible since it is a CE so its highly limited to usage. Plasma though is almost a solid/condensed form of lightning which can be used to harm an opponent by shocking them or can be used as a protective shield.

The second form is when earth materials generate lightning. The lightning itself remains with the same attack potency as well as usage. But its how the lightning is released, firstly it uses earth a conductor to release the lightning which is highly versatile since earth is every where around us. It's odd yes, but is deadly when coming to how and where it can be used. This means the very ground can produce lightning from under the opponent or even behind them.

Hope I explained everything >_>
