Alright, thanks for clearing those questions up!
In battle, I would preform Demon Wind Bomb in a situation where I was trapped in mid air, and an opponent was attacking me. A scene in the anime perfectly shows how this combination works.
I could also use this technique when my opponent wouldn't be able to see my clone transforming, allowing a possible sneak attack opportunity if the opponent simply dodged the shuriken/clone. Offensively, I would use the technique in ways that I explained before. To defend against this technique, a wall or a projectile like a fireball, sphere of water, etc, would perfectly do the job. I find this technique useful if the opponent cannot see your clone transform into a fuma shuriken, and I also find it interesting.
In battle, I might choose to preform this technique if projectiles were being launched at me from all angles. In a way, this is like the Hyuga's "Rotation". To counter this technique, the user can simply create earthen spikes, a pillar of water, a swamp, and more from below. Because of this disadvantage, I do not find this technique very useful, though it is somewhat interesting.
