1. Obito died a 35 year old man, Rin died at like 14
2. Obito redeemed himself, yes, but just because you become a good guy at the last minute doesn't mean you're sins are automatically forgiven.

I can't go around killing hundreds of people, and then save one person, and act like I'm holy now.

ATLA is without a doubt the best. I watch it like every year or so because it's just so good.

Do you read the comics?

I think it's more like Naruto heaven is based on trash principles, because Obito murdered everyone's dad and mom on that field (including Neji) and was allowed a free pass to heaven and a girl on the side.

Plus he can apparently transport between worlds too. Like wtf Kishi :lol

Jiraiya probably in Hell LML!

He wouldn't have moved on most likely if she wasn't there anyway.

Neji should've been the one to inherit Hamura's chakra in my opinion, much more deserving.

Thing is, it was never meant to be that Neji was wrong that there are people that are destined for greatness. What Neji was wrong about is that destiny HAS to control you, and that you can't become great through hard work if you don't have talent.

When Neji died it was so bull shit, couldnt believe what i was reading.

Kishi really dropped the ball with Neji, he was supposed to be the one to change the way the Hyuga functioned. He deserved more development and new abilities.

That gif hit me right in the feels.

Don't quite agree with the central topic though. Naruto had to work insanely hard to become what he is. Destiny had nothing to do with his choice to put everything he has into becoming stronger. Had he not trained so hard, he couldn't have even overcame Kyuubi.

Kishi had to kill him off cause if he's alive that will clearly exposes the BS that Naruto had to go through attain some powerups due to prophecy. And if Kishi draw a panel of Neji sometime before/after Sage of 6th path power boost, Kishi would screw himself to the corner thats why he got rid of him like like around 50 chapters beforehand to make people forgot.
However if that's his game, Kishi clearly underestimate our intelligence!

Ironic isn't it.
Naruto bashed neji on his views on destiny and even managed to change his views on destiny.

Only to have Part 1 Neji proven right as naruto's destiny was written long before he was even born

Naruto changed his destiny , his destiny was to fight Sasuke to the death , he broke the cycle of reincarnation and hatred he CHANGED DESTINY

Well, Naruto might have been born lucky, but at the same time for the longest time the Kyuubi did nothing but to hold him down, not to mention that he had almost to no one to support him in his goals, so it can still be argued that Naruto didn't quite have an easy path to glory either

Destiny has nothing to do with him having an easy/hard path to glory.

He was born Ashura's transmigrant & the "child of prophecy" what he achieved was nothing short of destiny.

The kyuubi had a duel relationship with Naruto. He prevented some aspects of Naruto but at the same time he clearly boosted Naruto. For example, Naruto could spam shadow clones, summon Gambunta, turn Gambunta into a copy of the Kyuubi, defeat people like Neji and Haku etc. because of the kyuubi. So I wouldn't say it did nothing but hold him back.

Yeah, but take the Kyuubi off him and you have a prodigy at an early age. Everything Naruto has learned afterwards shows that he is just as much of a genius of hard work as Rock Lee, and without the Kyuubi, there are still those massive Uzumaki reserves to take into account. It is hard to discuss what would've happened if Naruto didn't have the Kyuubi, since that would put him in another team entirely, but you have to admit that while probably far less powerful, Naruto would have ended up having far more to offer than just Shadow Clones and Rasengan.

This makes no sense seeing as how kishi already stated he killed neji to make naruto and hinata closer :sdo:

You are not thinking straight. Neji protected hinata which mean he died for the Main Family so it doesn't matter if it was his choice when it was apart of destiny.
If Neji protected someone else other than hinata that might've been a different story.

This is a result of a sloppy writing for cupid.

You don't know what sloppy writing is...do you know how stupid "had neji died for someone else" sounds in your head?

the end result being neji's death REGARDLESS of who he died for is the product of fake destiny...the end result would be the same no matter who he died for...ps he jumped in front of both hinata AND naruto...not just hinata

No he wasn't.

Destiny would imply that Neji had no choice in his died. Did you not pay attention to his dying words? He chose to give his life so Hinata could live on and achieve her dreams of being with Naruto. He wasn't dying for the "main branch" or out of duty, he sacrificed his life out of love for his cousin. Just as Neji's father died out of love for his brother, not out of duty. The choice therein nullifies destiny. Naruto defied every odd and achieved his dreams through persistence and unifying the world. The Bijuu, as Kishimoto said, existed to give the story some real-world relevance a la nuclear war possibilities. It's clear he was making it up as he went toward the end, but the thematics are there and it take some delving below the surface and introspection in one believes in order to piece it together.
