Neji's taijutsu is more than enough to keep up; even overcome Tsunade's.

He is training with Lee for years; who is also someone physically strong and hits can't be taken so lightly; Neji would not belittle Lee(base) before tnj this much if he actually took an important hit.

His sensei is Gai, his training partner is Lee; they are among the best and fastest taijutsu users in the manga; if he can keep up with Lee, so he can be more than keep up with Tsunade.

All Tsunade has to do in that case is land a massive punch to the ground, and Neji will be off balance. He cannot spin in those circumstances so he will get killed by Tsunades follow up punch.

Even if Neji somehow survives he doesn't have the stamina of a Senju to keep up with Tsunade. Since all he can do is defend against attack after an attack he will get worn out eventually. While Tsunade wouldn't even have to use half her power in her base form. (No Summon no Seal ). And don't forget the battle experience, Neji has maybe 2-3 years of actual battle experience. (Chunnin+) While Tsunade has decades of Battle experience.
Tsunade takes this very low diff. Neji has slim to none chance at even landing a hit.

Air palm blew Kisame [the tallest and heaviest Akatsuki member] off his feet. Neji's air palm also managed to blow away several Zetsus and the Juubi's spears. It's more than enough to attack Tsunade with it if he stays at a far distance. Air palm attacks the weakest points of the body.

And this is where I ask ..... What if it's not in a rocky sort of area? What if it's a desert? Even so, where do you come up with saying he'll lose his balance when his fighting style is all about balancing? Do you really think some one like Neji, who has swift feat , would lose his balance? Anyways, Neji can use Katien at any point possible, him losing his balance doesn't matter.

The people who state neji has no chance just because "he's a jounin against a kage" Don't even realise that their kage rarely engages in battle. Infact, the first time tsunade appeared in the show we were told she was rusty from not fighting in years, roflcupcakes. Neji trains with the best taijutsu specialist in konoha, and even had intense '8 inner gates' training, of which only Lee could master. Whoever thinks Tsunade wins because she's better at taijutsu than neji is a fool. He's half a point lower than her in taijutsu, and 1 point higher inspeed. Along with the fact that his 'speciality'(byakugan) deals with killing people from the inside out, whereas hers deals with support.

Who wins on the battle field? The medic with a Machine gun, or the Specialist with an M416?

Amd, like I said, fighting a Hyuga of Neji's level in taijutsu is stupid, because, like I said before, Neji can use his chakra to alter his enemies attacks, which would mean, to some degree, he can control where he wants Tsunade to punch, so he can make her punches miss all together or cause them to NOT be clean hits
